Mega WHAT

Author's Note: I was looking over my previous chapters. In some of them , the reasons for why they were the way was either due to forgetting, trying to stick to cannon or there weren't many changes that I could make. Others , even I cringed.

Thankfully, according to those that stuck around, It was both worth the waiting and I've improved in making it here.

Those that were disappointed in the canon events rehashed, I thought I'd give you a canon episode but with a original twist or at least a better one than the previous as a apology.

I come awake fairly slowly, not wanting to wake up after the long and stressful week you had earlier.

But I needed to seize the day for more lives to be saved.

I try to move your right arm to rub the sleep gunk from your eyes, but you can't move it for some reason. Looking over blearily to see your sleeping cousin has decided to fall asleep on your shoulder, also grabbing ahold of your arm with both arms.

....

I stare at your sleeping cousin for a moment, thinking to yourself that like this she's actually pretty cute. You shake your head to clear it up, as you slowly try to extract your arm. It takes a bit of time, and more than one break as your cousin shifts in her sleep at your movement, to get your arm free, but you do eventually make it free from your cousin's death grip on your arm.

You take a quick shower, and by the time you exit with a towel around your neck Gwen has finally woken up.

"Move dweeb, I need to get in there." She says as she brushes past you into the bathroom.

You decide to get your mind away by practicing more with your new skill at fighting.

This also doubles as you getting more used to your newfound strength, which certainly takes some getting used to, you had always been pretty athletic, thanks to your love of soccer and general exercise, but this new musculature was something you really did need to get used to.

I feel like you got a little bit better at Pugilism, and you certainly got a workout you muse to yourself as you wipe away some of the sweat you've worked up. On the one hand, you felt a sense of accomplishment at improving yourself, one the other hand now you probably needed to take another shower as you give yourself the old sniff test.

"Hey Doofus, what exactly are you doing in here...?" Gwen asks as she walks into the room, drying off her hair, before she pauses and her face gets red. You look down at yourself and realize you've been using the hem of your shirt to wipe away the sweat, exposing your new abs.

She's gone by the time I turn to her.

Huh, whatever.

Soon enough you all reach your next destination on your road trip, a tourist town called Sparksville. Well, almost, you have to stop and help save someone from a crash involving a semi hauling propane. It's not much trouble, you put out a little fire, and rescue a trapped person.

Got to practice with Big Chill.

But you do arrive at your destination unbothered, a quaint little town full of nothing but gimmicky tourist attractions. Apparently there's supposed to be some giant mystery simply referred to as IT. You and Gwen head through the tour of the town with the mayor/tour guide.

Eventually the two of you reach the end of the tour, the mysterious IT, which turns out to be a giant rubber band ball.

"This is the mysterious and great IT? Just a giant rubber band ball? Weak." You say upon the reveal then look at the yellow flash over the Omnitrix.

"Not just any rubber band ball, who knows what secrets lie within its depths? You two are welcome to stay here as long as you like, so long as you mind the signs." The mayor says to the two of you before leaving the barn.

"Man this is such a big disappointment, all this buildup for something so stupid, forget this, I'm going back to the hotel." You say, placing your left hand on the ball as you pass by.

"Hold up Doofus, I think we should probably have a talk before that." Gwen says, which makes you pause. Was this seriously about to happen? You'd rather completely forget the incident happened at all and here she is bringing it up again.

"About what?" You ask back.

"I'm worried about you Doofus, you have no idea just what the Omnitrix is doing to you, it's already changed you this much and you've had it for what? A few weeks at this point? I just don't understand how you can be so cavalier about this whole situation." She says, crossing her arms over her chest. Oh...so that's what this was about, that was somewhat of a relief, you thought this was about what happened a few days ago.

"I can be cavalier about it because I trust Grandpa, and he thinks it isn't too harmful, for now at least, I'm gonna try to not use the watch as often now that I know it's having an effect on me as, well me. But I can't say I don't appreciate the boosts it's given me, but for now I trust Grandpa when he says it was meant as a tool rather than a weapon." You respond.

"Damnit Doofus! You better know what you're doing, I may act like I hate your guts but I'd still be sad if something happened to you." She says, giving you a hug as she does.

Later , I manage to climb your way into the bed, somehow, and drift off to sleep soon enough. You get woken up the next morning by a call from Grandpa Max, who seems to have woken up before you or Gwen.

"Ben, Gwen! I think the both of you need to come out here and look at this." He says from outside the hotel room.

"Do you have any idea what that's about Doofus?" Gwen asks you fall out of you bed/hammock thing.

"No clue Dweeb, but we should probably go check it out." You reply, picking yourself up off of the ground, and heading out of the room to find Grandpa Max. When you get out of the hotel room you are greeted by the scene of devastation, cars are tossed around, light and telephone poles are down, altogether it looks like a tornado passed through the town, and you say as much.

"Woah, what happened here? It looks like a tornado came through here." You say in genuine confusion.

This looks like the work of one particular troublemaker the town's dealt with in the past, Megawatt." The Mayor says as he comes up to the three of you.

"Mega-What?!?" You exclaimed in realization and remembrance, just in time for something resembling a streak of lighting to pass between you and Gwen.

"Exactly, no one truly knows where Megawatt came from, some say it's a streak of lightning come to life, but wherever it came from, it has a rather...dark sense of humor." The mayor says, just as that same streak of electricity blast back between you and Gwen and impacts a vending machine nearby.

The vending machine begins to shake and rattle, and launches a can out of the bottom at extreme speeds. It shoots out directly at you, and it's too fast for you to dodge, you see it coming almost in slow motion, but you can't do anything about it, you just aren't fast enough.

The can impacts your family jewels at high speed and you go down with a weak whimper as the pain kicks in.

"Case in point right there." The Mayor remarks as he calmly walks over to a bench and sits down, completely ignoring the chaos going on around him. Gwen manages to get to you and get you behind some cover as more cans shoot out of the vending machine.

"Ben are you alright over there?!" Grandpa Max shouts over to you and Gwen. You don't reply verbally, still in too much agony to try and speak, but you do manage to raise as shaky and pained thumbs up over the side of the upturned car Gwen dragged you behind.

'I'm wiping out their entire race ...'

"Where did this thing even come from? You said the town has dealt with this thing before right? Where has it been since then and why is it back now?" Grandpa asks the Mayor, who is still calmly sitting on his bench.

"Well normally it's kept locked up tight inside of IT, so long as you mind the signs." The mayor says annoyed.

"Okay then, never mind where it came from, you have any ideas how we can contain this thing?" Grandpa asks the mayor again.

"I suppose if you could somehow get it back into IT, that would solve some problems, I don't know how you'd go about doing that though." The mayor replies.

You needed to teach this thing a lesson, it was destroying the town, and worst of all it launched a soda can at high speeds towards your junk.

No one , not even Vilgax, strikes the junk.

You wrack your brain trying to figure out anything you can do to take down this mischievous ball of pure energy. You can't come up with any ideas yourself, at least not as you are right now, you think, looking to the watch on your wrist. You know you promised to use the watch as much, but this is definitely a situation which calls for it. You get the watch primed and ready to go on your smartest alien, before pressing down and letting the transformation wash over you.

SHOOOOM!

The first thing you notice about the transformation is that the incredible amount of pain you were just experiencing is gone, which is a welcome relief. Your mind goes into overdrive after that quick realization, coming up with various plans that you might be able to use, discarding several for one reason or another, before your mind latches onto a course of action that would be perfect, if you could pull it off.

I quickly grab a piece of metal and begin drawing up plans on the side of the car in case you forget the details of the plan once you cancel the transformation.

SHOOOOM!

Once that's done you press on the watch symbol on your back, to transform back into yourself just for old times sake.

[77% synchronized]

Taking this bit of good fortune in stride you go ahead and proceed with your plan, transforming into perhaps your most versatile alien, Upgrade.

Slinking away from the ongoing chaos towards you objective, the nearby planetarium. I fuse with the much larger machine, and morph it to fit your purposes, essentially turning it into a giant robot, hands and feet included. Thankfully it seems like Megawatt has already completely trashed the building, so you don't have to feel guilty when you bust out of what remains of the wall.

The movement isn't as smooth as you'd like, moving more like, well a robot, than a living being like you intended, you don't let that slow you down though as you execute the final stage of your plan.

[12% synchronisation]

I smooth out the movement issue first and foremost, since if you were off by even the slightest bity it could ruin your entire plan. When my next move it is with all the grace and dexterity you possess as a human being, you scoop up the world's largest fishbowl in one giant hand and use it to scoop Megawatt out of the air like a very unconventionally shaped fly swatter.

You plant the bowl firmly into the ground so that Megawatt has no chance of escape.

SHOOOOM!

You then switch back to your human self, and finish of the plan by transforming into Heatblast, perhaps one of your least used aliens, and fuse the glass together, removing any and all possibility of escape for the little monster.

The menace taken care of, the rest of the people that lived in the town beginning to work on rebuilding the town. Something that they do with surprising speed, seemingly having lots of practice with the process. They get everything built in a day, you don't think you could do it even if you were XLR8.

At least not yet.

N/B

I forgot about this episode and while I didn't want a exact rehash ( I felt the need to show how different the Ben is here) I was both missing the chapter and wanted to show my Improvement.
