The Most Important Mission

In a large house at Gangnam Province, an old man and a man who was in his thirties were having a conversation.

"I heard that the new CEO of Haze Group arrived yesterday. We have no time to relax. So come up with a proposal. We need to make sure that the new CEO accepted our proposal. If we can have a partner like Haze Group, our company will benefit a lot." Elmer Kim, the Chairman of KL Group said to his son in law.

He heard rumors about the new CEO of the prestigious Haze Group. He knew very well how much his company could benefit if they have such a powerful business partner. As an established businessman himself, he didn't want to miss the chance.

Xander Yang nodded his head. "Don't worry, Father. I won't disappoint you."

"This new CEO has quite a reputation. Even in London, she was feared by many of her competitors. Winning over her will not be easy, but that does not mean it is impossible." Chairman Kim stared at the floor and sigh heavily.

"I'm old enough to retire. So prove yourself to the board and the executives. You are the only one whom I could trust to look after my company and my daughter." He concluded.

Though Xander Yang put on an angelic smile, he was smiling maliciously on the inside. He was really tired of this old man. He really wished that he would retire very soon; so that KL Group could become his own company.

"Father, you're still strong enough to lead the company. Don't say such things" said Xander, pretending to be really worried about his father in law.

He left his father in law room and take out his smartphone. He called his secretary and ordered, "I want all the details of the new CEO of Haze Group by Monday."

It's past 7 p.m. Hazel and Marcus were riding a car towards their home. They were talking about their day on the orphanage.

"Then tell me, Haze. Who is that Janice Joo? I'm really curious about it. You're so kind and friendly to her and that's unlike you." Marcus asked Hazel as he drive the car.

Hazel recalled her meeting with Janice and smiled. "She's my best and only friend when I was Annie Han. We grew up together in that orphanage." She recalled her past memories with Janice and somehow it warm her heart.

Marcus stared at the happy face of his little sister. Though Hazel always smile, he knew that many are a fake smile. But this time, she really seemed to be happy. He felt relieved as he finally found the one who can make his sister smile. 'I should be good to that woman' he thought to himself.

"You should tell me sooner. If I know that she's your friend from the past, I will be nice to her for sure." He said and recalled the woman. Though she's not as beautiful as most women he met before, she seemed to be really kind hearted; which is a rare and priceless one. Besides if she was Hazel's friend, he was sure that she was a good person.

"Janice like you, Mark. And if she's still the same Janice I used to know, she will chase you until she get you. She's quite stubborn." Hazel shifted her gaze to Marcus. "Please don't be so harsh on her. She's a pure and innocent woman. I will be so grateful if you can be good to her. You should start a new relationship too." She encouraged him.

"Then what about you? Aiden really like you. What will you do, Haze?" Marcus asked right away.

Aiden's face came to Hazel's mind. She pursed her lips. "Judging by how he treats the kids, I can tell that he's a good guy. But I didn't want to date anymore. I can't afford to take any risk. Besides he's too good for me."

Marcus was taken aback a bit. "I thought you hate him." He said with a curious face.

"No. Why would I hate him? He's a good guy. Plus, the kids really like him. I only want him to give up on me. I don't want to hurt such a great guy." Hazel's voice was low and barely above whisper.

Though she was already a rich and successful businesswoman, her self esteem was very low due to her past. She was once engaged. So she didn't deserve such a good person. She also believed that even if she date someone, they will surely leave her if they find out about her complicated past. She can't afford another heart break.

"What if he refuse to give up?" Marcus asked her with a serious face. He too didn't know why but he had some hope in Aiden.

"It will not happen, Mark." Hazel replied with a small smile. She lean towards the car window and close her eyes slowly.

Aiden reached his apartment and took a shower. Then he prepared dinner for himself. He was really excited for the next day.

Hazel's beautiful smile as she watched the kids playing, dominated all his imagination. Throughout his life, he never like someone to this extent. He didn't know if it was love, because he never fell in love before. But just the thought of her made his heart beats faster and faster. No women never excites him this much.

Then their challenge suddenly came to his mind. He needs to find out more about her within three days. He didn't have time to slack off. He needs to start working on the most important mission of his life.....
