Trick

A day pass by quietly. Aiden didn't meet Hazel for the next day. He want to give her some time to composed herself. But he called her and make sure that she is okay.

Saturday has finally come. In every newspaper of the country, Hazel's arrival was reported along with her pictures and the fact of her taking over the Korea Branch of Haze Group. It rapidly covers the business circle like a fire.

While many powerful business owners throughout the country were talking about her, Hazel was calmly sitting at Janice's cafe. She was there to explain herself to her friend, who would be very shocked to find out her identity.

Much to Hazel's surprise, Janice was still unaware of the news. She was busy in her cafe since early in the morning. It was weekend; so she was busier than before.

Hazel keeps on weighing her option. Will she tell her or will she not tell her? Even if she didn't tell her, she will find out about it very soon. So she made up her mind to tell the truth.

The cafe became quiet as most of the customers were gone. Janice came to her and handed her a cappuccino this time. "Thanks." She responded with a satisfying smile.

"I'm really glad you came today. To be honest, I really want to tell you something. Maybe even asking for a favour." Janice said to her. She looked a bit nervous and she also smiled awkwardly.

"Feel free to tell me." Hazel gave all her attention to her friend.

"Umm...the truth is that...tomorrow is my birthday; so I want to ask you a favour."

Hazel was really surprised! She totally forgot about Janice's birthday. How can she forget? They already celebrate together for many times in the past! She's become really absent minded.

"Oh! Your birthday? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She needs to act like she never knew it before. She put on an act by showing an amaze face!

"Yes. I tried to let it pass; so I didn't tell you before. But I really wanted to do something this year. I want you to help me." Janice said to her; still looking nervous.

"Of course. I'll help you for sure. Just tell me what can I do for you?" Hazel replied. She was excited to celebrate her friend's birthday again after six years!

"I want to have a small birthday party with you, Mr. Lim and Aiden. But as you know, your older brother is currently in London. I didn't dare to have my hopes up; but is there any way that you could help me?" Janice asked her. She seemed to be really shy to asked such favour. She keeps on pressing her fingers with her nails.

Hazel understood what she meant. "Of course. Don't worry, Janice. I promise you that Marcus will be there at your birthday party tomorrow!" She declared confidently.

Then suddenly, the things she tried to tell Janice cross her mind. She should not say it for now. What if it ruins the whole situation?

"Really? Is that really possible?" Janice asked her with disbelief. Her manner underwent a 180° change as all her shy and nervous expressions were long gone! She can't even sit still due to excitement!

"Yes. Tomorrow night, isn't it? We'll be there for sure." She reconfirm her words to Janice.

Hazel's lips curved into a smile as a good idea entered her mind. She was sure that if she nicely ask Marcus to celebrate Janice birthday altogether, he will not refuse. Besides her brother can never say no to her!

But she wants to play some prank with him. He told Aiden some information about her without her consent. He even told him her address. But she still didn't have her revenge! It will not be much problem even if she troubles him a little. Isn't it?

Besides she needs to have some fun. After this weekend, her war with Xander Yang will be starting. It may be quite exhausting but she is very determined. Her goal is to destroy him within three months! She didn't have much time.

Hazel left Janice's cafe and drive home. She glance at her watch and it is 1 in the afternoon. Then her plan started. Maybe a prank!

She entered her house gate, putting up an act as if she was feeling dizzy. She grabbed the support of the steps as she approached her house. Her brother's men who are there to protect her, came running as soon as they saw her. Things are going on just like she want!

"Are you okay, Ms. Lim?" The leader of the men anxiously asked her. He stood next to her but he was hesitant to touch her. Maybe he didn't dare! He knew his boss overprotective nature very well. Their cold hearted boss will not let them go if anything happens to his little sister!

Hazel saw how anxious her brother's men are! She feels sorry for them but she needs to succeed in her mission! Poor men! If only they knew that Hazel was faking to trouble her brother!

She slowly entered her house and get inside her room right away. The men didn't dare to enter her room but they can't just leave her alone!

"Ms. Lim! Are you okay? Should I call the doctor?" The leader asked her from outside the room. He didn't dare to do anything without her consent.

"I'm...not fine." She cough several times. "Please...tell my brother...that I'm really sick." She fake a hoarse voice.

"Right away." The men move in a hurry and call Marcus. They fall to Hazel's trick!

A vicious smile plastered Hazel's face as she knows that her plan succeeded perfectly!

It was 4 a.m. in London. Marcus was aroused from his sleep by a phone call. He picked up the call immediately as he saw the caller ID.

His men informed him that his sister was suddenly sick when she returned home! Marcus didn't waste any more time. He immediately prepared himself and went to Korea by a private jet right away.....
