My Friends are the Best

Based on their reaction, it revealed that they know Max is her friend. She was about to say something when Max beat her to it.

"Open the door or I'll upload your video at the Vanderbuilt app right now. Clearly, you're harassing the incumbent SC president." Max threatened. Her voice was so scary that the curly blonde haired girl was frightened and hid behind her friends.

"Are we now? We are merely blocking her way." The sub-leader stammered and quickly adjusted her glasses again. She clearly tries to be strong but her voice gave her away.

"Patricia, let them be. I don't want my face to be all over the University." Said the girl with the same hair as Alex. Now she recalled it, that's why she looks familiar. This girl is a member of the cheerleading squad.

"Shut up, Sandra!" Patricia snapped angrily.

"Well, then. I'll upload it now. You are merely blocking her path you say? Let's see what the school community thinks. Let me just remind you that she's the speaker at the General Assembly that you ditched as well. With Andi, being here you will be clearly penalized for not attending, plus, since you harassed her, I don't know what additional punishment you'll receive." Max taunted.

"The Assembly?! Oh no! I haven't registered!" Mylene shouted panicking.

"Yeah, girl. You should've registered first before pulling this prank." Max mocked.

She almost laughed at Max evilness and to Alex look-alike. 'Is she always like this? I pity her.'

"Alright, Andi. Tell them their punishment. A week long community cleanup, maybe?" Max asked sarcastically.

I find it amusing that she's pushing the girl to the edge.

"Yup, forty hours community litter picking to be exact." She replied hiding her amusement by fishing her mobile phone from her pocket and opened the University app where the Assembly is currently streaming.

She looked at the girls and said, "You have exactly five minutes to decide." She then sit atop the sink and patiently watch the streaming.

After a while, the girl named Patricia spoke, "Okay, fine. You can go."

She stood from her position and switched her phone. She started walking towards the door.

"That was no fun. Are we going to punish them? I can do the punishing if you like." Max complained and recommended to continue with the punishment.

"I'm going to think about it." She said as she turned around and bid the three goodbyes.

"Bye, Mylene, Patricia and Sandra. If you like to lessen your punishment you can still register." After she spoke the door opened revealing Alex and Dana with a maintenance woman.

They heard the gasps from behind but she didn't bothered looking. She smirked and walked outside. Yes, that's my girls. She proudly said in her mind, however, she has an Assembly to do.

Andi thanked the girls for their help and they all hurriedly entered the Auditorium where River is about to end his speech.

River looked at the side of the backstage to check if Andi was ready. She smiled and gave him a thumbs up.

"So, without further ado, help me welcome our SC President, none other than, Miss Andi Davis!" he announced my presence and walked towards me. He gently pulled me over assisting me at the Podium . We shook hands and I muttered him a 'thank you.'

As soon as she reached the Podium, she smiled and released the thought of the earlier incident. She looked straight at her audience and began her speech.

"Good morning, everyone!" she greeted them with all her energy.

"I decided to cut down my exposure a little bit, hence River did the Introduction." She said while grinning and the audience joined her.

"I told him he could do the Introduction since I am not a commercial endorser. You know that the longer the ads, the more expensive, right?" She asked the audience.

"Yes," they replied.

"So, what's the difference between me and and a commercial model?" She asked again.

"What?" They echoed.

"I don't get paid." She answered, then the audience laughed.

She didn't prepared this speech but she has to shake off the incident earlier to change her mood.

"Here's another one. Celebrities who are involved in gossips, positive or negative, earns more right?" She paused but she can hear them cheering.

"But, not me." The crowd burst into laughters.

"So, since I became famous recently. I hope someone will offer me endorsement, to pay for the incident, am I right?"

"Yes!" The crowd answered in unison.

"You're hilarious!" Shouted a guy.

"So, I want to say, some politicians who are involved in rumors, often wins, right?"

She hasn't even finished speaking when the crowd burst to whistles and cheers. She was touched by their unwavering support.

"Of course! We will vote for you." Shouted a student.

"You have my vote, Andi." Shouted another.

"You're number 1. No one else!" Cheered another.

"Yes!" Many agreed.

She chuckled. She had never been this confident before.

"Thank you very much, guys. I appreciate all of you. But kidding aside, I want a clean and fair election as always." She said, sincere evident in her voice.

"Okay, that's all. Thank you." She pretended to turn around when they shouted, "Nooo! Come back!" while some were just laughing and she swiftly faced them again smiling.

"Haha. Just kidding." She winked at them.

First, she explained the process of the upcoming Student Council Election which is one month from now.

"We will be letting the students know the candidates better by scheduling the election a month from now."

A student suddenly stood and shouted, "No need for that. We can even have the election tomorrow." Some students followed him.

She hushed them and continued, "Thank you. But it's not just for me guys. You have to get to know us. Us, who will serve you for an entire year. We have to make sure too that we deserve what we get." She spoke truthfully.

"You have to assess and evaluate the candidates per the position they are applying to, to have a better system. So, if we have a better system, we'll have a better univeristy experience, right?"

My next statements are our achievements during the previous year.

"First, for the club Nature First, we have planted forty thousands seedlings in total. Thank you to those who always bend the rules. Without you, we will never achieve this feat." She paused and the students laughed.

"And because of that, we got a reward from the Governor. We got an award for the most seedlings planted by a university in a year. Our initiative, to rehabilitate deforested areas is the highest even compared to environmental organizations among all universities in the entire country." Everyone cheered and clapped at their achievement.

"Yes, yes. Louder." She said encouraging the audience more and the crowd cheered louder.

"More exciting than the trophy is that they are giving us free weekend access to White Sand Beach, yes, the most expensive beach in the country! And we discussed with Governor, and the good news is he gave us two weeks to submit the list of participants. And I'm saying this because, after this Assembly, you can hurry outside and look for Nature First booth and sign up! And whoever signed up will get to join the members in this trip!" Everyone cheered and already showing their excitement.

"However, listen, guys. We have to conduct two activities in the coming week, and all who will list their names must participate or else we won't be allowing you to join the trip. That's a piece of cake, right?"

"Yes. We will plant all day all night, the entire week, if you want. Just to have that experience!" shouted a girl from the front.

"Okay, so I'll expect you to keep your promise, then."

"Next, let's congratulate all students who passed the previous year thanks to our clever and patient friends from the Learn and Share Club. This year we intend to increase the number of tutors as well as the subject coverage. Let's help each other. You can also visit the booth if you want to volunteer or if you need tutoring. No judgment." The students clapped and cheered. Some turned to their seatmates who might be volunteers or among the students that the club were able to help.

She spoke of other achievements of the Student Council and it took an hour but she managed to entertain the audience in between her speech.
