Meet the Mean Girls

Andi told River that she will go to the comfort room. However, ten minutes before the program, and she still hasn't come back.

"Hi, River! Did you happen to see Andi?" Dana asked. She doesn't really want to talk to him but she has no choice. Currently, he was the only one at the registration area.

River blushed before responding, "Hey... D-Dana," he stammered. "She said she'll be in the comfort room," he answered shyly not looking in her eyes.

Dan shrugged off her shoulders and muttered, "Thanks." She's typically friendly but when it comes to River, the atmosphere changes. She doesn't like him. He's too much a playboy. He's taking his position highly and to his advantage. And because River didn't look at her while she was talking to him, she figured he feels the same. 'Hmp. Whatever. I don't even know why you're friends with Andi.' She thought. She left him and tried to dial Andi's number.

"She isn't picking up," Dana said to Alex.

"Where could she be?" Alex asked saying what's on Dana's mind.

"Try calling Jack or Max," Dana recommended but realized what she just said.

"Okay, I'll call Jack and you call Max." Dana said cutting off whatever Alex wanted to say.

'Dumb, girl.' Alex thought as she dialed Max's number. It rang but cancelled almost immediately. 'Huh? Is she busy?' Then her phone beeped signaling an incoming message.

*ANDI IS LOCKED IN THE COMFORT ROOM WITH TRIXIE'S DUMB MINIONS. GET THE KEY.*

"Jack said she's not with Andi," Dana told Alex. But when she saw her reaction she peeped on her cellphone and saw the text message from Max.

"Let's call the maintenance, quick!" Dana broke the silence which brought Alex back to reality.

'Slow.' Dana thought and started calling the maintenance for help.

"Hello? Hi, Ma'am. This is Dana Gillan a friend of Alex, the SC President. There was an incident and she was locked on the female comfort room near the Auditorium. We would really appreciate it if you can open the door quickly as the Assembly is about to start." Dana explained.

"Yes, yes, please. Thank you very much." She ended the call and sighed heavily. She's thinking when Alex spoke, "Max said she's taking them a video for blackmail."

"Okay, that's good but we have to think of an alternative. Andi will look bad if she will appear late on stage," Dana said agitated then she turned to Alex.

"Go, tell River to substitute Andi on the first program. Tell him nothing about Andi."

"Uh, why me? You spoke to him earlier." Alex countered.

"I did so much thinking that I could not moved my feet. And besides, you just said I spoke with him earlier. Now, go. Your turn," Dana pushed Alex towards the direction of the registration area.

Alex stomped her feet but followed anyway. She walked towards River.

"Hey, River." Alex called.

River break away for awhile from the students who are registering or to put it simply, flirting with him.

"Hey, Alex. What's up?" He asked but appeared looking for someone.

Alex nodded in return. "It turns out Andi will take a little bit longer. She would very much appreciate if you could fill in first. Just the first ten or fifteen minutes only," she replied.

"Is everything okay? Where is she?" River asked, worry evident in his eyes.

"Yeah. Sure. Everything's fine. She just forgot something and went to get it." Alex lied. "I will tell Andi you're cool. Thank you!"

Without waiting for his reply, Alex left him.

Since River is the the next officer-in-charge when Andi is not around, it's most reasonable to let him handle the Welcome Note in place of Andi.

River knew something is up but shook it off. He called some officers to take over his position and went inside the Auditorium. At the back of the stage, River dialled his phone.

"Where are you? He asked angrily to the person on the other line.

"Am seating pretty inside the Auditorium. At the center," the guy replied nonchalantly.

"If something bad happens to Andi, I'll kill you." River warned.

He visualized the guy sat up straight upon hearing what he said.

"What? Why? What happened?" Zach asked in voice full of interest. But inside his chuckling. 'Did my plan went well?' He thought.

"You better pray she's alright or else this is your last day here at Vanderbuilt." River said then cutting of the call.

Zach laughed nervously. He pulled a little prank on the food he had earlier. He always brings his chilli stuff like chilli garlic, chilli oil around his compartment. He likes his food with extra flavor. He hates boring stuff. So he decided to enhanced the flavor of the pasta before giving it to River. Andi might kill River if she finds out so River will kill him too, he figured. Because River won't be able to tell Andi that it was from him. Brilliant. Now, the fun is starting. He thought. That's why he couldn't look at Andi earlier because he might not be able to control his laugh and give away the prank if River found out so as much as possible he controlled himself. He pretended as if he's disinterested at Andi but in reality, he liked the way she looked earlier. He knows she felt the spicyness of the food yet she continued eating. In his peripheral view, he could see her reddened lips and the sweat droplets on her nose. She looked so damn hot. At least, she won't suspect him of anything. However, something inside him hoped she's okay.

Meanwhile, Dana called Jack to fill her in.

"Okay. Got it. Let's put Alex plan in motion." Jack said while starting to think of someone who can be planted into Trixie's group.

"Hey, Jack. Where's Andi?" Asked River as soon as he spotted Jack at the back of the stage. She's checking if all microphones are working and has just finished discussing with the Technical personnel.

"River, Andi will be here in a moment." Jack replied and winked at him. He return her gesture with a nod, but still worried about Andi. It will be his fault if something happened to her. Uggh. He offered food and what will people say if they learned it's spoiled or something?

He went out the stage and readied himself to welcome everyone.

'Oh, Andi. You owe me twice for this. First, the breakfast, now this! I didn't even prepared a speech for Vanderbuilt's sake! River complained. He composed himself and went out to greet everyone.

------ Ten minutes earlier -

Andi is calm and composed most of the time but not when her schedule is interrupted, especially by useless beings like these ones. Though she panicked for a moment, she trust her friends to do the right thing.

She faced the students and crossed her arms.

"Okay, girls. What is it?" she asked pretending not to know they're Trixie's underlings.

"Well, we're asked to keep you here for as long as we can," replied the girl with curly blonde hair. 'She looks cute bud dumb.' She thought. 'Now I know your plan.' She snickered.

"Oh, why?" she innocently asked. She thinks of the Assembly which by now has already started. She has more or less ten or fifteen minutes until the next program of activity and she must be there to do it herself. She has to discuss the Student Council and she's the one to do it.

"You're so stupid, Mylene! Hissed one of her friends.

This one has reddish black hair like Alex. 'Are girls with same hair acts sometimes dumb? She thought of Alex. Well, Alex may be slow sometimes but she's a good friend. That's what makes her distinct among them. She's slow but when she shares her ideas, they are found to be awesome. Ugh. I miss my friends already. Get out of my way!' she thought.

"Why? What did I do?" The girl named Mylene asked. She can see she's really confused by her friends reaction.

"No matter. You can't escape from us," said the third girl with black pixie cut hair.

' Hmm. Is this the sub-leader?'

"What will you do if I try to escape?" She asked, gauging if they can fight her off. The three looked at each other then the third girl who I presume the smartest among them locked the door.

"Well, you can't. She said and crossing her arms in a challenging tone.

"Alright, how do we make this fun?" She said confidently that surprised them.

They were challenging looks when they were disturbed by a flushing sound.

When the door creaked open, they all turned to look who it was, who disturbed their staring fight.

She broke into a smile when she saw her.

"Ta-da!" exclaimed Max who was holding her mobile phone which shows she's taking a video!

"What the hell?!" exclaimed the sub-leader. She fixed her eyeglasses in both confusion and shock.

She didn't remove her attention from Max and gave her a secret thumbs up.
