It was currently Lacy's sixth month mark of working at the dinner with Grace. She tried hard not thinking about where she once lived. She hadn't talked to any guys. Based off how she was before she didn't think she should talk to one ever again. She had Jacob on her mind a lot. When some days she just couldn't get herself up out of bed.
Grace had helped her more times than she believed she owed. She was so horrible six months prior. Just to add to it, what happened with Jacob's little sister. She hurt her. To think to Jenny and Cleo, they were once really good friends. That was in elementary school.
Across town, Cleo and Joshua were finally going out. They even went on a doubt date with Jenny. Despite it being extremely weird for Cleo to go on a double date with them. Jenny was no longer in therapy or watched like a hawk by people around her.
Jacob has tried to talk to her but it was hard for her to look at him. She still played their whole fight over and over in her head. Jenny was at cleo's house, packing. She couldn't just stay here forever she had to go home eventually. Cleo and Jenny decided to redecorate Jenny's room. She hadn't done that since she entered the fourth grade.
It took five weeks. Luckily within those five weeks she hadn't seen Jacob at all. Jacob has been there but he has also been trying to get ahold of Lacy. He knows he shouldn't after all that's happened between him and his sister but something was wrong.
The way Lacy's dad acted when he saw him. The place he didn't even know was her home. Nothing was right. He managed however to get her dad arrested for assault against him. The last time he showed up to her house, he tried to attack her. Luckily the neighbors saw and reported it before anything happened.
Jacob could still remember the short unknown caller's voice, He knew it was Lacy's voice. Her voice seemed different. Yet that same voice still pulled the strings to his heart.
