CHAPTER 29 GO THUNDER

While Shadow and his grandpa were sparring, Thunder and Trevo were cruising to the ocean.

"How did you become his partner?" Thunder asks Trevo.

"It was a long time ago when I was just a little turtle. I was badly wounded and was crawling out of the river to escape a predator. That's where I met him."

Thunder kept quiet, and as he listened to Trevo's story, he came to know why this seemingly powerful beast became a contracted beast of a human.

In its story, it was just a little turtle when he met the 12-year-old Rey. He was badly wounded and needed medical attention immediately, so Rey bandaged him and took care of him for a week. After healing, Rey then released him back to the river.

Trevo never forgot Rey's kindness, so every time Rey comes to the river, it always greets him and plays with their friendship, which has lasted even now.

After swimming for a period of time, they arrived at the lair of the torpedo shark.

Both of them released their energy, scaring all the weak water beasts.

"Who dares to be presumptuous on my lair?"

When the Torpedo Shark finally saw his enemy, he turned serious. Even though Thunder is a newcomer, he is still powerful.

Torpedo Shark scrutinises Thunder, then turns to Trevo. I don't know why, but he felt a fatal threat to this turtle.

"What are the two of you up to?" The shark asks warily.

Thunder let out a snort. "Ain't it already obvious?"

Looking at the two Torpedo Sharks, she said, "Newcomer, you should know that even though the five overlords are enemies, we have a certain rule that the fight should be one-on-one. If an outsider helps, we will help each other."

When Thunder was just about to retort, Trevo finally spoke, "Then let the of us fight. Then, young one, you said there are still 3 overlords in the area. I want you to take down one of the overlords. Just leave this shark to me."

Thunder looks at Trevo, then the Torpedo Shark, then decisively leaves.

"Now it is just the two of us," Trevo said to the Torpedo Shark.

The Torpedo Shark looks at Trevo for a couple of minutes, then fires a [water blast]. Trevo just lets it hit him, doing no effect at all.

"Don't waste your time. Both of us are water beasts, so water elemental attacks do little to no damage to the both of us. Let's fight head-on."

The Torpedo Shark was startled. This is the first time he heard a beast that wanted a close combat match with him.

While it was still dazed, Trevo used the torpedo charge to ram the torpedo shark.

The Torpedo Shark dodged but was still hit in its dorsal fin. Trevo's horns put a hole into it. The Torpedo Shark was very angry; it let out a roar and also used the Torpedo Charge and rammed into Trevo.

Trevo then hid into its shell. *Bang* A collision occurred, blasting Trevo, but the one who lost was the Torpedo Shark. After it rammed into its tough shell, it got dizzy.

Trevo just won't let this chance slide; it once again charged into the shark, targeting its belly.

The Torpedo Shark came out of its stupor when it felt the incoming threat. It used [Torpedo Charge] to escape, and after dodging, it lunged itself on Trevo.

The Torpedo Sharks bite Trevo, using all their bite force to break the open Trevo shell.

Trevo struggled and used his horns to stab into the shark's mouth, but the Torpedo Shark just wouldn't let go.

It was a deadlock between Trevo and the Torpedo Shark. There was a clattering sound made by the Torpedo Shark's teeth and Trevo's shell.

Trevo let out a roar, then used [Torpedo Charge] and rammed inside the Torpedo Shark's body.

The shark let out a painful roar but still stubbornly kept ramming its body into rocks to confuse Trevo.

Inside the shark's body, Trevo kept using its horns to stab deep inside the shark's body. It was also dizzy from the repeating ramming of the shark.

Trevo was anxious; he was inside the Torpedo Shark's stomach, so it was inevitable that he would be digested. He let out a *sigh* but still used an elemental attack even though they had an agreement.

Water elements gathered into Trevo, and the rune mark on its shell kept flashing dragon energy.

Water elements and dragon energy combined. Trevo then opened its mouth wide and used [Dragon Breath], aiming at the shark's chest.

*Boom* There was a blast, and a hole was opened into the shark's body.

The Torpedo Shark's vision got blurry, and he then entirely closed his eyes.

In another place, a violent explosion and the sounds of a beast and a collision were heard.

*Boom* a tail smacks a manta ray

"You shitty worm, if you kill me, the boss will kill you later," the Savage Manta Ray yelled.

"I don't think your boss will be coming; you're not the only one who has help; I also have someone to watch my back."

The Savage Manta Ray blanked out when he heard that his boss wasn't coming.

"Please don't kill me; I swear I'll be your underling." The Savage Manta Ray begs for mercy, knowing that he is no match for Thunder.

"Sorry, I don't want an underling as spineless as you." Thunder used [Thunder Dragon Breath], blasting the Savage Manta Ray to bits.

Thunder just let the ray's meat floating in the ocean; it doesn't even bother to eat them.

Thunder then goes to the lair of the giant dark eel.

When he arrived there, he saw the giant dark eel; it was as big as a hill.

The eel seems surprised to find Thunder in his territory.

"Why are you here, friend?" the giant dark eel asks kindly. Despite its menacing appearance, the eel was seemingly kind.

Thunder knows that the Giant Dark Eel was actually kind, and what it seeks is friendship and family affection. Because of the mutation that turns itself into a giant, he was chased out by its family, looking at him like a monster since childhood. He never has anybody to call a friend; everybody avoids him and fears him.
