SHE WOULD NEVER WIN

"Mo Yan," Bai Xin Xi looked up at him guiltily. Since the catastrophe this morning she forgot that about her first day of work.

"Make sure you get lots of rest today don't do anything that will hurt yourself more." His face was calm, but his eyes were stern. "When you heal you can start work."

"Alright, I won't do anything."

Happy with the response given he nodded his head and walked out the door.

She sat in bed thinking about the phone call that was received. She wondered how someone so rude can call him. As a matter of fact, she even called him Brother Mo Yan…

Not wanting to dwell from the rude phone call early in the morning she decided to get her computer to look in at her emails. Before she even had a chance to login, she heard a knock at the door.

"Young Madame here's your breakfast." Butler Dou came in with a tray of food trailed by a younger maid.

"Thank you, Butler Dou. You can set it right there."

They set a breakfast table next to her beside. Because of her hectic busy schedule Bai Xin Xi didn't eat breakfast. Since she was particular about her breakfast she only ate when she knew her body wouldn't be able to withstand the whole day on no energy.

The younger maid heard stories about Bai Xin Xi from the older maids. From what they said Young Madame Mo was a very skinny girl who had huge eyes she wasn't all to pretty. She was an introvert very quiet and very shy. The present Bai Xin Xi was very elegant and gorgeous. Her gaze was piercing and very alluring. She wondered if the young miss had turned into a goddess. She was starring so hard at her.

Butler Dou saw the younger maid mesmerized by Bai Xin Xi. He cleared his throat before speaking again, "Young Madame is there anything that you need?"

"No thank you if I do need anything, I'll let you know."

Before he left, he, "Young Master made sure the cook made the breakfast to young madame's liking. Please eat so that you have energy and heal correctly."

He wanted to make sure that his young madame knew how much Mo Yan cared for her. There was much that she didn't know of the things that he did. He made sure that the clothes in the closet was filled. He even made sure for his assistant went to get the clothes from the stores she liked. He knew everything about her. The house was decorated based on her taste. The man didn't waste any time when he bought the house three months ago and decorated everything to her liking. The man was counting down the days when she would come home.

Mo Yan even went as far as buying food for her. The food in the fridge was made to cater to her. The man loved her so much that it made up for her portion.

She wasn't going to look at the food but because butler Dou said that Mo Yan made sure that everything was prepared to her liking she had to make sure to eat just a little. Underneath the shut lid was rice porridge and hot milk. That was her favorite breakfast food. Because she was such a weak and sick child growing up, she learned to eat porridge every morning. After her parents died no one made her rice porridge no more so she was content with not eating anything. She learned overseas to make her own food and to be on her own. She was grateful for the food and appreciative.

"Alright thank you Butler Dou." Her gentle eyes smiled towards the butler and the maid.

They both left the room leaving her to rest. She grabbed the spoon and scooped up some porridge onto her mouth. She felt satisfied she logged into her computer. While she scooped up breakfast, she scrolled to look at her emails.

There was a couple thank emails from her service for helping business. A notification dinged on her laptop indicating that it was a new email.

Class Reunion

As soon as she opened the email the confetti filled her desktop screen.

She was in two grades higher than people her age. Technically she would of went four but because of her age the principle only let her skip two classes. She also didn't make known that she was also a genius. She was such an introvert that it was hard to approach her and talk to her. Her only friend in school was Han Yi Fei.

~PAST~

"Please welcome out new student Bai Xin Xi."

A skinny sickly girl walked across the front of the classroom. Her head was down so her long hair was swept across her face.

She made a little wave indicating that she was saying hi to her classmates. Because it was a tiny wave the students didn't pay too much attention to her.

"Did the teacher say Bai?"

"Does this girl really belong to the Bai family?"

"I thought she would prettier…"

"I heard that her parent died."

"I can't believe she's in our class…"

The door slid opened.

"Sorry I'm late," the cold Han Yi Fei came in.

"Miss Han," the teacher said eyeing her. She wanted to say more but because of her status the teacher stopped to look at her only.

"Please make sure that you won't be late next time."

Han Yi Fei looked at the shy student with her head still down, she didn't get a good look at her. Han Yi Fei only wondered who this small tiny girl was and why she had her head down. The hot-headed girl decided to ask.

"She's the new transfer student Bai Xin Xi. Treat her well she will be sitting next to you." Han Yi Fei looked at Bai Xin Xi one more time and smiled brightly at Bai Xin Xi. Not just anyone could make the Ice Queen smile and not just anyone could sit next to the high and mighty Young Miss Han.

"Xi Xi you're in my class now. I'm so happy!"

The shy girl heard the familiar voice. It was her childhood friend Han Yi Fei. Her heart leaped with joy. She was forced to move into a new school and now put into a higher grade then her peers. She was already known as a freak of nature due to her shy manner. She looked up excitingly at Han Yi Fei.

Han Yi Fei excitingly grabbed Bai Xin Xi's hands over to her desk.

"Xi Xi I didn't know you were coming to Wing Ying High!!!"

Bai Xin Xi's doe eyes peered through her hair and looked straight into Han Yi Fei's kind eyes.

"I didn't know either," she whispered apologetically at her.

Under the desk she squeezed her hand implying that it was okay.

The bell rung indicating that class was over. Bai Xin Xi looked at the time on the clock and rushed to get back to the Bai family home.

She remembered that she needed to do something for her cousins. Bai Xin Xi was in such a rush to go home she accidently bumped into an upper classman knocking a drink on his uniform.

"Watch where you're going Ugly!" Mian Su Jin yelled at Bai Xin Xi who looked disheveled at the upper classman.

She wanted to avoid trouble at all cost since moving up grades, but it looked like trouble always found her. Bumping into the young heir of Mian the electronic company. She bowed her head down to say sorry when his little girl posse pushed her back to the wall.

"Did this ugly girl bump you Brother Jin. Let me teach her a lesson." You Do Bin and the other girls that liked Mian Si Jin were pointing and cussing her out. You Do Bin raised her hand about to slap Bai Xin Xi to another universe.

Han Yi Fei swooped in and threw money at all the others faces.

"Go buy something with this. Leave her alone." Because the status of the Han Family being one of the great eights no one dared to make more of a fuss.

She grabbed Bai Xin Xi's hands and dragged her out the door.

"Those people are very dangerous make sure to stay from them. Xi Xi are you okay?"

"Thank you," she had tears welled up in her eyes. Her face etched with pain and sadness. "I'll try not to cause too much trouble."

"You won't cause any trouble whatsoever. I'm here for you." Han Yi Fei knew that Bai Xin Xi's parents passed away, the girl she knew and played with was no longer the carefree Miss Bai. Instead was replaced with a very serious little girl.

"Xi Xi how about I send you to wherever you need to go."

"Okay, if it's not a bother then yes please."

"Xi Xi how about I come visit you sometime?"

"Umm Fei Fei it's okay."

Bai Xin Xi in the Bai Family household now was more like a little slave. From the pampered Miss Bai to a nobody. She didn't want Han Yi Fei to know her current living situation. All she wanted was to finish school and live a quiet peaceful life. She used to want to live happily with her family now she wanted peace.

~PRESENT~

She heard her phone buzz.

Han Yi Fei: Did you see this email about the class reunion?

Bai Xin Xi: I did I just finished reading it.

Han Yi Fei: Are you going to go?

Bai Xin Xi: I don't know yet.

Han Yi Fei: Xi Xi we have to go.

Bai Xin Xi: …

Han Yi Fei: You're going with me so save the date.

Bai Xin Xi knew that when Han Yi Fei made her mind up there was no changing it. She had to go along with whatever she planned.

Instead of waiting for Bai Xin Xi to text her she called her right away.

"Xi Xi you can't say no, remember all those hard times we had to suffer because of those classmates of ours. Anyways you're going."

She laughed at her friend, "Han Yi Fei even if I said that I wasn't going you would make me go right? Or find some other way for me to go with you."

"You're right, if there is a will there is a way. You're going no matter what."

"Do I really have to go?"

"Yes, let's go shopping for a dress this weekend."

"Em."

Bai Xin Xi shook her head and laughed at how crazy her friend was. No matter how she argued she would never win against Han Yi Fei.

She continued to look over her emails, nothing too serious popped up so she decided that it was time to rest her eyes.
