Two Years

Two years later.

The rays of the bright morning sun filtered into a spacious room through the white lacy curtains that danced slightly with the subtle breeze.

Sitting at the edge of a big white bed, a figure was seen holding a silver mirror as she observed every inch of her face in the reflection.

Everything was perfect.

Her hair, silky and smooth, her skin, flawless and her lips full and red.

She was a sight to behold however there was one flaw that she couldn't rid herself of.

One that had accompanied her with series of nightmares ever since that dreadful night.

At the mere thought of that occasion, shivers ran down her spine as she closed her eyes in fright.

Peering her eyes open once more, she saw IT again.

The green and yellow hue that partially clouded her once perfectly blue right eye stung her eyes as well as her heart every time she woke up and looked at herself in the mirror.
