What's wrong with her eyes?!

"In fact she's very much alive." Jeremy said, a tired smile marring his similarly tired face.

He hadn't slept for three days. Three whole days. But how could he? When just one misstep in one minute could determine the life or death of his friend's precious daughter.

So what was sleep? He didn't know what that word meant!

When Davis heard Jeremy's words, a light kindled in his eyes that was previously devoid of any hope.

"Are you sure Jeremy? You're just not saying this to patronize me? My daughter is really fine?"

"Of course Davis. Have you forgotten who you're talking to? The best scientist in the world. Besides would I ever lie to you?" Jeremy asked, feeling quite cheeky.

He waited for a response, expecting a straight NO but he didn't expect Davis to hesitate at that point causing him to pause and stare back at his friend wide-eyed.

"Well…" Davis's eyes darted left then right.

'Uh..how should he answer this?'
