"Surely your heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask Him" (Matthew 7:11).
When you pray, do you ever wonder, "Am I asking God for the right things? How do I know if what I'm asking will please Him?"
You don't have to worry about those things. First, remember that when you become a child of God, He sends His Holy Spirit to live inside you. The Spirit will work to help you do what pleases God (Philippians 2:13). Not only will He help you pray, but He'll show you what to pray for (Romans 8:26-27).
And second, God wants you to know what pleases Him -- He doesn't keep it a secret. He spells it out in the Bible: love Him and love your neighbor (Matthew 22:37-39). When you're truly trying to worship and please God, He'll show you the best way to do it (Psalm 25:12). So don't worry when you pray ..
just pray.
"Father, thank You for the Holy Spirit and for helping me learn to please You with my prayers. Amen."
