Chapter fourteen

Laura's POV

"Ken!  Ken! Ken stop right there mister, I'm talking to you." I screamed at him.

   He ignored me and just keep going. I ran up to him, and grabbing his hand turned him around with the little strength I had in me.

"What!? Why you bothering me Laura?"He shouted on me.

"Oh, so I'm bothering you?" "Between you and I, am the one who's supposed to be mad but you just angry over nothing!!!!, I just don't understand you no more."

"Oh really Laura, then why not just leave my complicated self alone and go back to your boyfriend!!!".... He has turned around now, and I was trapped in between him and the wall.

     I felt uncomfortable, but I had no intentions on wavering now.

"For one more time, Sam is not my boyfriend!!," "and I want you to listen carefully to me. I'll ask you questions, and I expect honest answer." I said looking him straight in the eyes.

"Alright, go on. Ask away, he said moving away from me, giving me a comfortable space at least."

"Where have you been? Who was the lady you brought with you here yesterday? and why did you bring her?" I asked all at once, folding my arms across my chest and waiting for his answers.

"Ok, I want you too to listen to me carefully, because I'll say these only once," He said smirking. Jerk!!!..

"I've been with Mary,she's the lady I brought here yesterday and she's my girlfriend."he answered, his eyes so cold.

"You're lying, "I said already close to tears, I held my self, I am not gonna break down in front of this fucker.

"Well, I'm  very serious, and I intend on marrying her someday just so you know. I'm very much in love with her, I never loved you."

I chuckled,out of bitterness actually, "How far along are you guys? "I asked.

"Six years, we've been together for six whole years."

"But you told me you didn't have a girlfriend two years ago?" I was shocked and shattered, but I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a lie.

He laughed, "I lied, was just trying to get in your pants but it didn't work out so that's it."

What the fuck, I striked him so hard across the face" you pig, I can't believe you got me fooled me all this time,I can't forgive myself for loving a bloody fool like you. Just go back to your gold digging bitch, and tell her I send my regards" I spat at him, turning around and headed back to my party with tears in my eyes. I am gonna cry, I'm not gonna cry, I kept chanting in my head. I'm not gonna spoil my precious mood for who doesn't even deserve it. My hand still hurts from that slap I gave him.

         I just stood by the door, trying to arrange my mood before stepping into the party.

"Bestie, is that you?" I turned around, to find Sam, I just hugged him and cried. I told him everything Ken said to me.

"I'll kill that asshole!!!".. Sam was fuming by now, his chest heaving up and down, I grabbed his arm stopping him. "Please Sam, he's not worth it, just let him be".. The truth was, I didn't stop Sam because he wasn't worth it, I stopped him because I still loved that fucker, even though he hurts me so much.

      I grabbed his arm, and we wanted going in when we heard someone said.. "What?"

"Mum, is that you?"

Author's POV

"What?" Jessie Ken's mom said. He told her about it? How dare Ken?

"Mum, is that you?"Laura asked, moving towards her. Jessie didn't say a word, she just hugged her while Laura cried.

  "Mum, I love him so much, Laura said in between sobs."

"And he loves you too baby, I know he does. See the way he looks at you."

"No Mum, he doesn't, he loves her more,"She cried.

"I know baby, I know.... Don't worry, I'll fix this, I promise you."I just know exactly what to do Ken, She thought smirking.

Meanwhile, on the other hand Ken was in his room crying. I've hurt her so much this time,He thought.He was gonna stay for a week more, because her birthday was the reason he came and because he missed her. He only brought Mary along, because he wanted to irritate his Mum and Laura. And he succeeded but why was he feeling so bad? He was gonna leave in three days, she was better off without him. He loves her too much, and he couldn't have her because her heart was for another. Gosh, the way he so hated that Sam.

After an hour or two, he's lost track of time so wasn't sure he heard a knock on his door, he opened up to have his Mum walk in.

"Kenneth, we need to talk"....

He he he..... Is alright 😁

So what do y'all think his Mum wants to talk about? It seems to me that Ken is in for a big surprise.....
