Becoming the Villain

(Percy's Pov)

Have you ever felt something so surreal?

Because I did.

For the last couple of days. I could not control my body but I could hear and see everything. I feel these different kinds of emotions. I just saw someone killed in front of me, I thought that I would throw up because someone was just killed in front of me but strangely. I only felt... indifference.

I am talking yet I know it was not coming from myself. He is a different person, I can seem to vaguely hear his thoughts and strange memories inside my head.

When I saw my brother... Memories seem to be clearer than before, and I could hear his thoughts now very clearly.

'Oh, Percy. 'You're caged in your past and unable to move forward.' He said.

I denied immediately "Wrong."

I saw him looking around, seemed very startled. Looks like he could hear me... I'll just shut up for now.

I saw a woman near the tree that I planted many years ago. She is a very important person. Time seems to stop...

Memories of a strange distant past coming from a mediocre novel. I saw my mother die.

I saw everyone die.

I saw the cost of my hatred. Is it worth it? All I wanted was recognition but why did I end up becoming the Dark Lord?

Is this an illusion? but why does it seem realistic? No...

It is true.

Blinded by hatred. I destroyed everything and myself. I suddenly have the urge to commit suicide.

I felt a warm hug.

A mother's hug.

I wanted to hug you back! I wanted to say sorry for everything I've done!

"Mother, I am sorry," I said.

I hugged her with everything I had.

"Mother I am sorry," I repeated, my tears suddenly gushed out. I gained control of my body again! and hugged her back!

I didn't want to let go so I just hugged her.

I cried and cried... Seeing weird memories... I don't want that to happen! I don't want that to happen! I'll do anything! Stop it! I'll forget all of my grudges and move on. I don't want to hurt my mother.

'They say you don't know what you have until it's gone but the truth is that you knew exactly what you had; you just thought you'd never lose it.'

I suddenly realized I was standing in the middle of the darkness.

I was standing in the light, I was about to walk when suddenly... I felt something inside the darkness...

I am now afraid of moving away from this light.

I saw two red pairs of snake eyes. Looking through my soul. I know who owned these eyes...

"Percy," he called out... he had this charming enigmatic voice. For a monster with such a good voice, he doesn't deserve it.

"Danny," I said in a serious tone...Hiding my fear through the depths of my soul.

"Oh, Percy... this is such a weird occurrence yet it was so interesting." He said coldly.

I didn't respond and just stared at those snake eyes. I know it... His memories... I saw him kill everyone just to live. We just stared at each other.

"How does it feel to kill your mother?" He sounded like he was mocking me.

"Oh Danny, you are just pathetic," I said, even though he killed everyone just to save himself. Who do you think is more pathetic? Me or Him.

"How could you sacrifice everyone like that?" I asked... even though I already knew the answer.

"To live, of course, I don't want to be caged by my sentiments. For you, it was heartless but for me it was necessary. I am not like you, who regretted everything you have done."

Wrong, you and I are just the same, you just don't want to admit it.

"My heart is only for myself and not for anyone..."

"You are just a madman," I said. I sighed and stared at those snake eyes.

"You are just a broken madman. You lied to everyone and yourself."

"You thought you knew yourself."

"You keep denying everyone and yourself."

"You said you never regret everything you've done."

"But why are you suffering right now?"

"You and I are just the same."

"NO!" He roared and I felt everything shook.

"Pathetic!" I shouted back at him!

A black silhouette suddenly jumped on me and choked me! It was a tall humanoid with a pair of red snake eyes. He was transparent... He was like a cloud of black smoke. 'Danny'

"You little brat!" He shouted at me and tightened his grip! I wanted to fight back but I feel weak.

"Hahahahahahaha." A strange laugh suddenly came out of nowhere. I was shocked and Danny seemed shocked too. The smoke suddenly trembled and let go of me and looked everywhere.

"Oh, hello fellow gentlemen." The strange voice said and then the entire place seemed to shift.

The entire place changed into hell! I am serious...

"Is this hell?' Danny said in a strange voice... I felt I heard a strange tone of fascination.

We are standing on a peak. A very high peak seems to have pierced the red sky.

I looked down, it was hellish, I saw everything, people suffering, Devils sadistically punishing people. It was not just full of fire. There was a huge sea of blood, a huge demonic lizard monster towering in the sea of blood, eating thousands of people. There was even a huge ice mountain in the faraway distance... A forest of demonic trees. hundreds of thousands suffering... drowning, falling, being eaten, torture and many other things, just seeing this sight makes me want to question why this exists.

"Yes." A strange voice came out from behind, we both looked back. We saw a strange man with a strange full mas. A strange hexagonal pattern in his mask that seemed familiar. It was 'THE DEMONIC KEY'!

"Who are you?" I looked beside me. Danny asked seriously.

"No, I should be the one who asks that." When he said that, everything seemed to freeze.

Danny's figure seems to have changed... The black smoke seems to be starting to get bigger, becoming more menacing. His fingers turned into claws, his gaze became like a predator.

"I will be the one who rips you apart." He coldly laughed and attacked the strange man.

"How dare you?!" The strange man shouted, attacked back too.

The strange man evaded the attack and gave Danny a successful uppercut. Time seemed to stop for a moment and Danny flew towards the sky! How strong was that uppercut!?

The strange man suddenly jumped, continuing his attack in the air! The barrage seems to be ripping the air.

But Danny caught his hands and head-butted him! I heard a shock wave! The masked man fell in front of me. Dust flew towards my eyes! damn! How could they be this ridiculously strong!?

Danny levitated and fly in front of me but he had this strange and shocking expression looking at the place where the strange man fell. I looked at it.

What the f*CK! The mask broke and his face was shown.

He looked exactly like me!

"Who the hell are you! why do you look like me?" I shouted at the man who looks exactly like me, I don't have a twin then who the f*cCKis this guy.

The man stood up and rubbed his robe, cleaning the dirt.

"I am you, and you are me." He said this which made me more confused. He looked into my eyes. His eyes looked different. the sclera and pupil are black but his iris are white.

"I am Zadicus."
