Several Light Years Away

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

The being looks at the blue skinned being, absolutely cold and bitter, his robes unwavering as it's fluffy stitching grazed the polished floor like a silent rag. Hiding what seemed like battle scars, he boldly wandered about with a bright gold set of armour and a staff which had textures that swirled from the bottom to the top of a glowing crystal shard. Each panel fully detailed, showcasing the vast history of the planet as each step echoed through the dark hallways of desolateness and the squeaking of tap water. Despite knowing how literally everyone in the planet lives on trees, the being still feel proud of himself, smiling determined at what he had saw, stopping in his tracks as he pats on the shoulder of his most trusted messenger. Still consoling his wife and helping the people around him with good will despite his constant work 24/7 in the kingdom. Admirable.

Yes. I kept my word. Now I must make do."

He looks up, spotting what was a door to a new adventure. A new chapter of his proud history of victories over the planets his ancestors had made peace with. His road for the people's future glowed through the doors as bright as day, filled with excitement for another badge of victorious reign. Behind him, his supporters full of unique species who joined his cause and assisted his father and him to create the most technologically advanced empire in the galaxy with scouts moving about excitedly, to meet with other planets and highlighting ones which can be used as a means of training and exploration. Though he still don't understand how his scouts failed to realise the power of planet ELW5-31S, also known as ground zero. Even though there was conflicting reports on the name of the planet, it still couldn't be mistaken that this was the planet with such weapons.

He sighs, knowing how he must make announcement. Something he hates but admits is necessary for a rule of prosperity. With a nod to his messenger, the door slides open, it's cold air greeting the warm being, reminding him of the dangers fraught everyday as he enters the large room which was silenced by the sounds of cheers and mumbling up in the stands, surrounding his very position as they watched eagerly. Knowing that something big was going to happen.

The stands were large, each seemingly capable of containing the entire city's population. their windows gleamed from his silhouette in the middle of the whole circular room. It's floor dedicated to the most technologically advanced projector screen as 3D apparitions appeared on the screen, showcasing the news stories happening at the moment. The news despite being recognisably boring as newscasters simply stood outside patiently and sad from the updates on the death count from the impact wasn't going to spoil his mood, nothing would. Adjusting his robes, he clapped slowly by his staff. Each contact making their hairs stand for attention as the crowds went silent. It was showtime.

"Hello, people of the Kingdom of Lavitias and people from the neighbouring planets. We have all come here today for an horrific event which happened a week ago." As he announces himself, a projected screen of the entire universe is shown in intricate detail with each planet aligned at the exact timing as a great darkness rapidly engulfed the universe, only for a bright light from the same point to relight the world back to it's original self. As they watched, people looked on, horrified at the destruction caused with others bursting into tears over their lost ones. Looking upon the masses, he could feel the sense of patriotism emerging from the golden era. Perfect. As people struggle to move on, their revenge would be well-deserved.

"Now I know you must be disheartened for this. But just recently, we have found it. Our ground zero."

As he said this statement, the people dispersed into a murmur, watching the map expand into a single planet with a moon amongst others planets circling a star. Around the planet were lots of colourful metallic debris, all of which seemed to be parts destroyed amongst the abyss of black. Looking at the shape of the planet, he knows he can't prove the location of the large weapon. But he does know that the debris surrounding the planet was enough evidence from the Lord of Sight, who despite his ridiculous, unprofessional attitude still has something that can never be denied. He looks up to the audience, smiling grimly as he raised his voice.

"With this knowledge and their deception hiding amongst the galaxy. We will be paying them a visit and take action when necessary. I know most of us are very sensitive and frustrated by their actions. But before we start an gruelling and unnecessary conflict, we will be taking a look from their point of view and seize the super weapon they had used against everyone with the people involved dealt with. So without further or do, shall we all begin an adventure of glory and victory?"

As he said that, more murmurs came about as one by one, the people cheered as they chanted for the movement of prosecution. Finally. He breathes a sigh, noticeably in a very jovial mood by his messenger who smiled as he raised his hands up. His fists clenching tightly and his smile broad as daylight as he chants, his voice booming across the large stage as the roof opens up to see ample amounts of rockets launching into space with large mega cruisers soaring through the clouds. Their large cannons turning south towards him as they surrounded what seemed like a giant space station. But within it's hull, he knew they weren't here to simply talk.

They were here for an escalation to what they see as an unnecessary conflict that can be dealt with peacefully.

Was he bored? He unfortunately couldn't tell. His powers lacklustre as a messenger unlike the giant being who immediately levitates above him shouting up above, asking everyone to join him in his large conquest. He shakes his head, walking back into the safe dark halls, disappointed knowing how he is just as hotheaded as his late father even though he just recently become a messenger for the king. Determined and absolutely ruthless. The only thing he hoped was that he had some humility like the other fallen planets while they were at war.

As the being floats back up to his flagship, he watches his men below deck, wandering about and preparing for an invasion. Seemingly excited and trigger happy with their less tame armour, each a mix of black and red with their ranking in their own language attached by a large metal exoskeleton along with their large rifle on their shoulders, filled with holes and battle scars. With a grin, he placed his staff, slamming it between his legs with a grin. They were ready.

"Hi... honey..."

He turns around, grabbing his wife upon hearing her. She struggled to move about, still stiff and tired from her sporting activities. They looked at each other, embracing for a hug. Smiling from a pain he couldn't heal for now.

"Yes... don't worry. Despite my messengers telling me that it would take at least 3 weeks to get there quickly, this trip would be successful." He looks at her teary eyes, stroking her hair as he warmly smiled.

"Our son would return."

As they open their arms to the comfort of their relationship, he could only watch, looking back at his ancestors and his late father who commandeered the planet into an empire, he could only peer his eyes determined to give his shot.

"I won't let you down..."
