Cerberus

The beast stood firm, unamused at the rapid turn of events right before it's eyes. It's jaws grinning wide, hiding from view at the smoothness that was A's plan. Falling the right cards into the right places that seemed far too smooth for it's taste. Even with her strength however, it feels tired of depending upon others to dish out the hard work, let alone the barbaric ideals and methods of his peers. If that was what it really thought of itself. Nevertheless, as the pilot of the machine, his obligations remain for the safety of the organisation and a cause that could change the fate of the planet. An obligation he agreed upon his recruitment.

Chao Xiang looks ready at the demonic being and it's dark energy shenanigans. It's stories of how it wiped away towns and armies with a flick of a finger proven with the small surging dark ball overhanging across the skies. The past really do have their kicks. He subtly furrows his eyes, unable to accept such a young man at the helm. Yet to prove his rights of piloting such a machine he solely tested and piloted once before in that damned war.

That sick massacre that brought nothing but despair. Just like those poor kids down by the pillar...

"Ah! I remembered it to be stolen a few weeks earlier... I wonder, do you have such a right for using such an infamous machine?"

He looks upon the small camera pointed towards his face, listening to the rustling of his sticky clothes on that uncomfortable carbon fibre seat and the clenching of his fist in the dark cockpit. His dark expression covered his face. Hiding his frim stature and his unhinged body language that made his blood boil.

"Are you looking down on me?!?"

His contempt were sky high, evidently broken up pettily by his question. Gestures which left him nothing more than disappointed at the child on the 'high' chair. He sighs subtly, contempt at his useless thoughts overrunning his brain. Perhaps he had thought too highly of his 'successor'.

"No. For getting your hands on such a machine really meant you have earned such a right! Now then let's dance!"

Jango regained his composure from his lousy flattery, unleashing the mace on it's back and launched itself forward at the machine who revelled in its' claws. Slashing sparks across the thick walls of the runway with scraps of paint and debris. Uncaring for the price they paid for such a structure. The things he heard from her sister's fate in that battle concerned him quite badly now that he realised the field he was fighting in.

To hide a sneaky trap right by the exit was just plain dirty even for a Super. For a pilot he didn't know, something like that would be simply unsurprising in the laws of combat. Nevertheless, this interest in finding his tricks was far below him. He licked his lips, feeling the rumble of his sword clash with those outrageous wild claws of his. Struggling to find any weak points that could bring him closer to the end of the match. A struggle he is willing to make for the reveal of his arsenal.

He pressed harder on the accelerator, firmly avoiding his slashes. Stranger from each attempt at his mace. He can't put his mouth on it but the retractable claws seem to be changing in size depending on his input. He stares at the monitor of his rival, silently playing his game full of might without hiding anything out of the blue. Leaving no leads.

"If that is the case then..."

He immediately extends his mace out, increasing his thrusts against the man who continued to push him, charging at the sound of his fluid motion. Less of a violent fencer and more of a moron unable to swing his sword.

"I can see your movements!"

Chao Xiang rushes in, immediately releasing his claws at diving towards it's cockpit, ready to listen to the horrors of a man who knew one thing to do. He grins with excitement, driving ever closer to his target with his sights on the giant mace that was directed at him. His only worry.

He readied his claws, watching the four eyes glow with disdain, lifting the mace sky high and revelling in it's claws that trembled at lightning speed. Ripping of it's claws that stood still from his confusion.

"WHAT?"

The two claws crashed onto the floor, rocking the runway with a cloud of dust and bright sparks. At that exact moment, he grabbed the mace and drove it towards his target with a gush of wind. Staring at the dissipating pair of eyes he is prepared to tear off with it's hidden active cannon in it's head, furious at his mockery earlier.

The gush of air dissipated, crashing upon the Cerberus with three pair of eyes furrowing at his face in the settling dust. He looks at the monitor closely, watching the two dog heads that were once his thrusters unravel with several metal links. Biting off the mace barely close to the cannon on its head. Hardly tainted with a scratch.

"Nice! You seem like an intruder worth defeating!"

The Cerberus crushed his mace, tossing it by the side of the runway and charging straight with it's two jaws out wide, unleashing further hell and pushing him back in the defence. He watched with frustration at the six limb monstrosity, unable to get any close lest he wants to be grappled by his jaws. Worst was the additional weapons hidden beneath it's sleeve and it's unchanged performance, at the rate that he was going, he would lose. Badly.

To only have two weapons against his multitude of claws and guns was truly a bad choice in close combat. He clenched his fist, angered at the idea of picking him as his opponent. A man that forced him to play right into his cards like an idiot. He looks out, watching the end of the runway close by, leaving him nothing but vulnerable to the magnetic fields pulling him down.

"I'm sorry it has let to this…"

Jango spams on the control panel. Unlocking his chest that opened outwards. revealing a large cannon which slowly increased in length. On both ends large fans whirled violently, unleashing a flurry of electricity across the machine. Igniting a ball of dark energy that rattled the space station in a cloud of dust and flying debris.

He couldn't care less of what the man across the screen thought of him. Those small creatures that gave his boss such a deal was nothing to him either. Even if they claim to hold the key to ending this meaningless brawl. When it came to honour, it would be meaningless to fight without being at their best. Pulling it off at such a small space might be dirty but with little options remaining, he may finally prove his worth to himself and his parents. The most simple trick even his opponent had in mind.

He pulls up the thrusters, watching the spectacle that was the giant black ball of hatred shoot at point blank range. Slightly ashamed at the man who gasped across the screen. Quickly spamming the controls of his mech with the clenching of their jaws. Grabbing hold of its impact and stamping on the pedals, listening to it's feet scrap deep into the floor. Unable to resist further destruction for something he didn't own.

"Y-You have got to be kidding me! I-It's eating my black hole?!?"

Jango stares stunned at the monster with three heads, glowing in the dark with it's pair of eyes directed with disdain. Enough of it's tricks in his bag. It ate greedily, swallowing all that stood it's way, moving closer and charging up with an orange glow around its edgy vents. Bursting with intense smoke that covered nothing but it's eyes that darted towards its prey. Smashing and mangling his weak armour like wild dogs.

It wasted no effort, directing all of its attempts at the cockpit and stabbing Jango deep in the gut with its armour. Sirens blared, deafening his ears, trembling upon the man looking down at him like he was nothing more than a pawn to his schemes.

"Isn't it funny to horde technology decades earlier than the rest? Now watch as the horrors of this machine fall with grace. Denied of its entry."

He blankly looks upon the young man mangled in his cockpit, struggling to move amongst the mangled armour pieces around him. Watching within the stained thick helmet at the radar screen which barely illuminated from the major damage. His left hand trembled, grazing a single green dot in his dribble of blood with a warm heartfelt smile on his bloodied face, tainted with tears.

"F-Faye..."

He mumbled to himself in misery, frustrated at his failure as her brother. His eyes fluttered, feeling all of his experiences right before his eyes just before it went south. He just wanted justice for his parents, but all he could see was regret welling up upon her eyes when she finds him in the wreckage. He trembled slowly towards the distress button, sighing at what was his unsure response to his parents above.

If they were ever there for him.

"Aww. So pitiful. I could go all day with this. But it will take far too long!"

He closed off his monitor with the dead man, leaving his spot amongst the fierce battles far in the distance. His teammates still distracted and bitter at their own battles. Unmoving and struggling further unlike his surprising defeat. The control panel beeped to life from it's stasis, revealing four faces across his evolving monitor. Eager and grinning at his service.

"It's time! Link up!"

Leroy watched as five pairs of blue flames of unknown origin stop and converged at one spot, flashing a blinding bright light before his eyes, nearly dazzling him if not for the red flash coming ever closer to oppressing him. Firing missile after missile towards an alien ship firing back at him with disdain, concerned at his diverging path full of friendly fire.

"We are the spine of our blade, for may the sky burn bright for the future. Unleash the sword of the heavens! Maruah Ketidakadilan!"

His speakers hollered at a high boom, clashing with everyone's frequencies for what seemed like miles. Attracting everyones gaze at the giant machine now assembled with its head held high. Leroy quickly moved to a safe spot away from the jaws of that red missile, magnifying the source of that bright light on his monitor in cold sweat. Mindful of his surroundings full of machines closing in on all sides.

It seemed slightly smaller in size than the entire space station. Skinny and frail with exposed parts if not for the armour full of junk, weapons and dull colours of gold, grey, black and red. Linking around nicely with an elegant pattern of a snake and a sword side-by-side. Their enemy. Around the sides laid oddly sized parts that seemed like limbs, exposing additional machinations which locked around the original weapons of each machines. A giant shield weaved around the tip of the machine, attaching a giant sword that split in two from that combination with electricity flowing throughout. Less of a sword and more of a superweapon stronger that those remains above Oflip's orbit.

He silently gulped, shaking his head at their ridiculously flamboyant show of force. Too boring to even think about what is going to happen after all of those battles. He presses on the control panel, trying to confirm their locations from their scramble to safety. Tired and mentally wrecked from their own battles.

"Don't mind me, just checking on everyone's status. Are you three around?"

"Yeah... Phantom Pain here."

"Faye here... If that is fine with you... I'm fine so far... Bro are you alright?"

She answered to the voices on the monitor, still unable to trust their presence at the rate things were going. Even though they were glad they were given the chance to successfully own these machines, she could tell they were nothing more than expendable creatures for Hacksaw's own gain. Despite this issue, as the pilot of a machine she can call her own, the responsibility was still hers to care for her only family left. Unresponsive from his heavy work.

"Bro???"

Faye prods again via the voice controls, desperately awaiting his response. But nothing came of it. She seethes, frustrated from his silence as tears welled up around her eyes. Trembling badly around her seat with uneasy silence. Remembering his happiest moments upon the bright light shining across the galaxy. Illuminated by the giant monster across the stars.

"He knew… He bloody knew…"

She turns towards the monitor once more. Now simply the curious worried look of a man and an artificial intelligence. Hardly the group she planned on confronting.

Another broken promise...

"King Ambriosas! Do you need additional reinforcements?!?"

He raised his eyebrows in confusion, unsure what to make of his commander's question whilst A casually watching the globe turn black from it's unusual shape in the room. Filled with advisors of her own murmuring amongst themselves in deliberation at their next step to their master plan. Their own command structure had been constrained by the multitude of commands that seemed to take outrageously long despite the training and research for an effective method of progress. He sighs, unable to make any further remarks for what seemed like just one of the same old problems as he nudged his earphone.

"What do you mean Wighelm?"

He looks upon his rollable tablet he carried with him, a ball of hard liquid which slithered from a giant ball into a reflective lens. Reflecting the large view from the cameras of their reinforcing ship still encircling outside the milky way. Watching with their jaws dropping at the stunning spectacle of light shining across from their battlefield, unable to comprehend the technology and funds necessary to pull it off. Nevertheless he could only look on with elated grief, watching the giant sword glint across her eyes. Their fate is sealed.
