The sound of the bell announced the end of first period and brought with it Mizuki's favorite part of the day.
Taijutsu.
As much as he complained about how tiring the class was and how the Instructor was incompetent.
It was a pleasant change of pace from being locked in a classroom doing nothing productive.
Although, the main reason behind his profound enjoyment of Taijutsu Class was that they would occasionally do Traditional Shinobi Sparring.
Which provided some combat experience, but, most importantly, was also just a fun activity in general, and gave him and his friends an excuse to beat the shit out of one another.
Unfortunately for Mizuki, there was no such activity today.
Instead, they trained their basics, running laps, doing push-ups, and practicing basic punches and kicks.
If a random civilian were to look at the scene before them, they would probably find it quite comical.
In every activity, there was a small portion of the class that was doing exponentially better than their counterparts.
There were some students doing a decent enough job, enough to be considered average.
However, in this year group, doing "decent" was not enough, these were all filler characters that Mizuki never met.
Next, were the majority of the main characters, Asuma, Kurenai, Anko and others were in this group and were all doing well for their age group.
Slightly ahead of them, one would see Guy who was just barely outpaced by Mizuki and Obito who were competing with one another.
Finally, taking the lead was Kakashi alongside Shisui. It is clear that everyone was struggling and pushing themselves to their limits, and by the end of the class everyone was drenched.
Even Kakashi, who was normally effortlessly completing the class was heaving due to trying to maintain first from Shisui.
Regardless, when the bell rung there was a newfound determination in the class's eyes as they all thought about beating their freakish classmates.
When the bell rung, the entire class rushed to the Cafeteria, desperate for food after a particularly intense Taijutsu Class.
The class nearly fainted when they rushed so desperately to the cafeteria, only to find that the people who had just finished humiliating them at Taijutsu had also beat them to the cafeteria.
Mizuki laughed to himself as he thought about how Guy used his raw speed to rush to the Cafeteria first where the remaining four boys body flickered.
Obito apologized to his friends before saying he was going to sit with Rin as he felt he had been ignoring her a little bit recently.
And yet, when he turned to face his friends all he saw was mischievous smirks plastered on their faces.
Mizuki: "We believe in you Obito!"
Shisui: "Don't screw this Up!"
When Anko walked in, Mizuki called out and that they should all have lunch together. Anko realized that something was going on and gave Mizuki the look.
Mizuki, seeing the curious stare from Anko whispered his ideas in her ear.
Soon, she had a light mischievous smirk on her face as well as she frantically agreed to the idea, shifting her gaze over to Obito.
Soon, The trio of boys and Anko were all sitting at the table and scanning the room until they found Rin.
Anko got up and rushed to her friend where she then directed her to where they were all sitting.
Rin approached the table and was a little surprised at Shisui and Mizuki's presence. Regardless, this only lasted a second before she introduced herself.
Rin: "Nice to meet you both, I'm Rin"
Mizuki: "Nice to meet you as well"
Shisui: "Yup, Same"
After getting over the awkward introduction, they all got to talking and Mizuki and Shisui found Rin to be really nice.
She was already in both of their good books due to being one of Obito's only friends, although seeing her in person cemented the idea in both of their heads.
Mizuki: "I approve"
Shisui: "I second the motion"
And so, much to the embarrassment of Obito, and the confusion of Rin, the lunch continued as normal after that.
The Afternoon went by without any major events occurring, all of the afternoon classes were spent chatting with Anko about random things and sleeping.
After class ended, the Trio agreed to pick up training again later that week.
Shisui had already taught them most of the basic variants skills that didn't require the sharingan, which Obito would sorely need at some point.
So, Mizuki talked to Shisui about the issue and they agreed to all practice on their own and come together again in a few days to sort things out.
After saying goodbye to Shisui and Obito, Mizuki met up with Guy who then took him to one of the more secluded training grounds in the Forest.
As soon as he arrived, Mizuki was graced with the sight of a bushy haired, young man, endowed with a gorgeous thick mustache on his face.
(A/N: Might Duy had the best Mustache in all of Naruto. That shit makes him into a full blown Chad.)
He was training his body to the limit, doing push ups with his body being supported by only his pinkies, and had a large boulder the size of his entire body on his back.
"998...999..1000!"
After finishing his set, the young man turned around to see that two figures were waiting for him,
Duy: "Hey Guy, You bring the person you were talking about?"
Guy gave an energetic nod.
Might Duy then glanced at Mizuki, causing a shiver to shoot up his spine.
Duy: "So you want to become stronger?"
Mizuki: "Yes sir!"
Duy: "Why do you want strength?"
Mizuki: "To be with my friends!"
Might Duy then looked deep into Mizuki's eyes before laughing.
Duy: "Are you sure your okay learning from me? You know I'm still a genin, right?"
Mizuki: "Rank isn't everything"
Mizuki's thoughts turned to Naruto as he thought of this, as he was brawling with litteral gods whilst still a genin.
Duy's eyes widened slightly as he looked at Mizuki who had a look of determination then.
Duy: "Okay then, let's put your determination to the test!"
