Mizuki groaned as he woke up to the sound of pounding on his door.
Since the time he began to train under Might Duy, two months had flown by as quickly as they came .
Mizuki: "I'm up, I'm up"
Mizuki barely pulled himself out of his daze, as he crawled out of the comforts of his bed as he got ready, packing his bag and getting changed.
Although, there was one noticeable difference compared to before, Mizuki also wore a set of heavy weights underneath his clothing for his training, albeit his were more discreet than Lee's.
He opened, the door only to see a sight which he had still not gotten used too.
A purple haired girl with her hair tied was sitting on the railing, eating her breakfast, which, as always, were dango skewers.
Turning towards Mizuki the girl had a playful smirk on her face.
Anko: "Well, well, well, look who finally decided to wake up"
Mizuki had a wry smile on his face as he locked the door behind him.
After sleeping through Obito's wake up calls about a month ago, Mizuki found himself being woken up by Anko every day.
And she was a little to effective at her job for Mizuki's liking.
They both looked at one another with playful smirks before rushing towards the Academy, body flickering from place to place as they hurried towards their class.
They had both been late twice that week and if they were late one more time they would get the dreaded detention.
A result which both Mizuki and Anko would not except after sitting through it once.
As they rushed in, Mizuki glanced around the class to see Obito and Rin in the same situation as the duo, greeting them on their way in.
They both made it to their seats just on time as immediately after sitting down the teacher appeared.
Roughly ten minutes passed in class, and Mizuki was already bored out of his mind.
Upon pondering for a little whilst, Mizuki thought the best way to alleviate his boredom would be to simply look around and see what his classmates were doing.
. . . . . .
What's that you say?
Listen to the teacher you say?
Fuck that.
The lesson he was in was useless, hell, the only reason he didn't want to move up yet was because he wanted to just relax and chill out.
Itachi would graduate early, and would slaughter his clan.
Kakashi would graduate early, and would suffer PTSD for like a decade.
Ya, hard pass on that.
. . . . . .
Guy was subtly doing exercises under the table with his weighted arms, having no regard about what the teacher was saying.
Shisui was sleeping in the back of the class, with his head covered by the textbook, making Mizuki proud, as he was using the technique that Mizuki taught him a couple weeks prior.
Obito had virtually no regard for what the teacher was saying as well.
Anyone with half a brain could see him glancing at Rin out of the corner of his eye before turning away.
Anko fell asleep roughly five minutes into class, an all time record of staying awake, leaving our protagonist to reminisce about how his life had changed over the past couple of months.
Since he had started practicing under Duy, Mizuki's taijutsu had gotten noticeably better.
He had not started practicing the eight gates yet as he still needed to build his base to practice the technique.
Although, Mizuki saw Guy beginning to practice the "Primary Lotus", a move that Rock Lee used when opening the eight gates.
Mizuki had a light smirk on his face as he thought about how he had learned different Taijutsu techniques from Duy.
He was not a genius by any stretch but he had learned some special techniques like "Leaf Whirlwind".
In addition to his basics becoming stronger due to learning the "Strong Fist" style of Taijutsu.
Guy had also joined Mizuki's friend group and Obito in particular really liked him due to all of the hard work that he put in to get where he was.
Mizuki's training with Shisui and Obito was also great for his training as well.
He had mastered the Phoenix Flower Jutsu and was just a couple of weeks away from mastering the Fireball Jutsu.
The training with the boys also helped him with his abysmal kunai and shuriken skills as they were now somewhat better as well.
Although, he was still by no means competent in the skill, and still needed a lot of work.
Soon, a sort of four way friendly rivalry between the boys, as they all wanted to surpass one another as they each trained in either their clan arts or taijutsu.
The day itself went as any other would.
At lunch, The boys all went to a table with Rin and Anko to hang out. And Mizuki spent the afternoon hanging out with Anko, cracking jokes and practicing some light chakra control exercise.
However, when school ended Mizuki said goodbye to Anko, Obito, and Shisui as he and Guy went to train Taijutsu.
. . . . .
Soon, they both arrived at a certain spot in the forest where they saw Duy waiting for them.
Duy: "You are here! Now! Let our Training begin! LET THE POWER OF YOUTH EXPLODE!
Mizuki and Guy: "YES SENSEI!"
Mizuki's training with the duo took a couple of hours before they all went into town for a bite to eat.
For the sake of variety (and their wallets) they decided to go to the all you can eat barbeque restaurant.
After spending around an hour in the restaurant, the master and students left the restaurant to head home, with the skies starting to turn dark.
However, instead of this, Mizuki went into the forest as he looked for something, finding it within five minutes.
The tallest tree in the area and the next step in his personal training.
Mizuki drew his kunai as he focused his chakra to his feet, before attempting to rush up the side of the tree, mimicking the iconic chakra control exercise taught by Kakashi years in the future.
However, similar to those who practiced it initially, he only made it a few meters up the tree before the tree underneath his feet cracked slightly, causing Mizuki to fall to the ground, landing on his ass.
It would be a long night for Mizuki. And not in the "fun" way.
