Breeze Never Too Late

Jian Sangyu and Gu Chen are married because of a business alliance, but they are not specially in love with each other. Jian Sangyu considers Gu Chen as an old-fashioned man who is boring and intimidating, but Gu Chen, who is a chief at the most important guardian team in the country stays faithful to his wife and finds himself a very qualified husband. 
One day, an unexpected earthquake happens, and the couple finds themselves trapped under the rubble. Gu Chen protects Jian Sangyu with his own body, yet both of them die because of the delayed rescue. 
However, Jian Sangyu is reborn and returns to the year before the earthquake. Although she is still married to Gu Chen, Jian Sangyu decides to do something different with her life by becoming a famous movie star so as to live independently, totally away from Gu Chen.
What she has not expected is that her relationship with Gu Chen changes with her second chance at life. Real love begins to bud between them and Jian Sangyu, who has always wanted to divorce Gu Chen, gradually finds herself attached to this man whilst Gu Chen soon realizes that this lovely young wife of his needs more than a loyal husband, but someone who truly cares and loves her with all of his heart.

After lunch, Gu Chen and Gu Yang went upstairs to the study to discuss some business matters. The rest of the family were sitting in the living room under the air-conditioner and talked about family affairs. Even Grandpa Gu was reading through the news on his fruit cell-phone.

Someone had got increasingly anxious after being apart from her cell-phone for a long time.

Jian Sangyu just couldn't sit still in the living room. Seeing Gu Chen coming out of the study, she went upstairs when she saw that no one was watching her.

Gu Chen was in his childhood bedroom. He was reading something at desk and when he heard the door handle being twisted, he took a look at the door and found Jian Sangyu entering the room. He soon turned back to the desk instead.

Jian Sangyu stood at the door for a few seconds and then moved to Gu Chen. She poked Gu Chen's shoulders. "Gu Chen, let's make a deal. I need my cell-phone back."

Without looking up, Gu Chen answered, "I will give it back to you after the weekend, before I return to the team."

"What about taking my life instead?" Jian Sangyu put on an expression of being a martyr. Her hands were upon Gu Chen's shoulders tightly.

"If you want to make a call, we have a land-line phone downstairs. If someone makes a call to you on your cell-phone, I will tell you." Gu Chen didn't compromise just because Jian Sangyu threatened him in the most unthreatening way possible.

Maybe he found Jian Sangyu a bit too annoying, Gu Chen put down the book in hands, let the white and tender hands slip away and walked downstairs.

Like a small tail, Jian Sangyu followed Gu Chen around. She even waited for him outside the bathroom when he went inside. She looked at him with a very pitiful look and tried to impress Gu Chen and move his heart with her performing skills.

But Gu Chen was never moved. He had not approved a thing after Jian Sangyu tagged alongside him for almost one hour.

But the way that she and Gu Chen had been behaving shocked the people inside the living room. They had never seen Jian Sangyu being so sticky towards Gu Chen who still showed a very cold expression.

Even Grandpa Gu couldn't stand it any more. He called out to Jian Sangyu. "Come here, Sangyu."

"Oh, okay, Grandpa!" Jian Sangyu didn't really want to come to him, because she was afraid that once she was gone, Gu Chen would hide her cell-phone somewhere else. But she just couldn't turn Grandpa Gu down.

Grandpa Gu took Jian Sangyu into the study and asked her directly, "What is it going on with you and Gu Chen? Why are you following him around? Are you picking up any gold behind him? You looked very disdainful towards him at lunch and that didn't seem to last so long. I would have felt disdainful towards him a bit longer if I were you, just look at his face."

"Grandpa, Gu Chen doesn't want to return my cell-phone!" Jian Sangyu burst out and reported that to him.

"What does he want your cell-phone for?" Grandpa Gu looked a bit curious.

Jian Sangyu felt the tip of her nose and recounted the entire story about her sneaking in ice cream and snacks in an increasingly smaller voice to Grandpa Gu.

After hearing the story, Grandpa Gu laughed. "So this boy still doesn't allow you to eat these stuff even to the present day? You were not that healthy when you were little and you did startle us several times. There was one time when you sneaked in chips and passed out at midnight because of stomach ache, and your grandpa took you to the hospital for the emergency and everyone in the yard knew about that. Gu Chen's grandma was still alive back then and she teased Gu Chen by saying that his wife we tried so hard to find for him was almost gone."
