Jian Sangyu and Gu Chen are married because of a business alliance, but they are not specially in love with each other. Jian Sangyu considers Gu Chen as an old-fashioned man who is boring and intimidating, but Gu Chen, who is a chief at the most important guardian team in the country stays faithful to his wife and finds himself a very qualified husband. 
One day, an unexpected earthquake happens, and the couple finds themselves trapped under the rubble. Gu Chen protects Jian Sangyu with his own body, yet both of them die because of the delayed rescue. 
However, Jian Sangyu is reborn and returns to the year before the earthquake. Although she is still married to Gu Chen, Jian Sangyu decides to do something different with her life by becoming a famous movie star so as to live independently, totally away from Gu Chen.
What she has not expected is that her relationship with Gu Chen changes with her second chance at life. Real love begins to bud between them and Jian Sangyu, who has always wanted to divorce Gu Chen, gradually finds herself attached to this man whilst Gu Chen soon realizes that this lovely young wife of his needs more than a loyal husband, but someone who truly cares and loves her with all of his heart.

They had been calling each other by their full names all the time.

And the unusual behavior of Jian Sangyu made Gu Chen worried. He was afraid that she had run into some accident, like being kidnapped or robbed?

"Where are you in the mall?" Gu Chen asked after adjusting his emotions.

After he heard Jian Sangyu telling him the name of the store, Gu Chen was so annoyed that he almost laughed too. Now he understood why she suddenly called him 'honey' and why she had unblocked him on the phone.

Jian Sangyu said that the mall was quite far away from the compound and there was no taxi available in this area full of rich people. Gu Chen wondered how Jian Sangyu managed to get there whilst going home to fetch the car.

Fifteen minutes later, Gu Chen arrived at the mall where Jian Sangyu was, parked the car and asked Jian Sangyu about the exact location of the cold-drink store before walking towards it.

The moment he pushed open the door, Gu Chen spotted the girl and the dog waiting at the most conspicuous spot of the store.

"Jian Sangyu." Gu Chen called out to her by her name as he stood at the door.

"Gu Chen!" Jian Sangyu swore that she had never had such a complicated feeling to see Gu Chen in either this life or the last one.

She had been staring into the direction of the door, hoping that Gu Chen could arrive at any time. So she spotted him the moment Gu Chen appeared at the door.

Hearing that Gu Chen calling out to her, Jian Sangyu felt very… annoyed and gratified seeing Gu Chen.

Jian Sangyu let go of General's rope and ran towards Gu Chen, took hold of his arms and then cried out purposefully, "Honey, what took you so long?"

Gu Chen lowered his gaze at Jian Sangyu and frowned. Was she trying to suck up to him or examine herself for what she had done?

Jian Sangyu did not care what Gu Chen was thinking. She dragged Gu Chen to the cashier and pushed him forward whilst hiding herself away behind him, whispering, "Pay the bill!"

Having said the words, Jian Sangyu got startled and tugged at Gu Chen's sleeves and asked, "Do you have the wallet with you?"

"Yes." Gu Chen stood aside and asked, "But did I say that I am here to pay the bill for you?"

Jian Sangyu was dumbfounded. She had never expected that Gu Chen would have answered in this way?

"Excuse me…" The cashier also became startled by what she had heard. She was about to say something when Jian Sangyu interrupted him.

"Gu Chen, what are you doing here if you are not paying the bill for me? This is all your fault! And you are smart enough to figure out what I need you here for!"

Jian Sangyu got so annoyed that she clenched her teeth. The beautiful pair of eyes glared at Gu Chen furiously.

Gu Chen laughed and then said something that truly made Jian Sangyu want to hit him. "I am here to watch the show."

"Gu Chen!" Jian Sangyu got annoyed, stamped hard on the floor and shivered. "Gu Chen, I am divorcing you, right now, in this afternoon, no discussion!"

Jian Sangyu thought that her life before the previous life must have been of a tomb bandit who accidentally stole things from Gu Chen's grave so that Gu Chen was taking revenge upon her in this way now!

Back in the compound, Jian Sangyu dashed away with General when she had the opportunity. She and General felt as if they had been the prisoners who had just run away from the cell who were chasing after freedom.

After she and General went into the car, they came directly to the cold-drink store, took over an ice-cream ball to General on the floor and took one bite of the other herself.
