Alone in the darkness, he stumbled back and fell on his back. He reached for his lighter in his pocket. It almost slipped out of his fingers as he tried to flip it open. He flicked it once, then twice. Again and again it would like until he finally got it lit. He looked around the cold cave, which was now freezing since the hole letting in the only light source got covered.
"Ok, ok," Trent said trying to calm down from his terrified breathing. "Obviously someone followed me and is now trying to kill me..."
Trent tried calling for his blade, but it wouldnt summon.
"What the hell?! What is up with my blade?,"Trent questioned as he gazed at his right arm.
"What is up with it, in deed," said a voice coming from up where the scroll was sitting in ashes on the table. Trent turned to see two giant claws coming down the stairs, followed by a slithery-type of body. The body seemed to wrap around Trent. Trent then gazed upwards to see a head of a what seemed to be a green dragon with long sharp fangs and flowing whiskers.
"Greetings," said the dragon. The dragon's voice seemed to shake the whole cave. Trent almost fell back but caught himself.
"Y-you...you...are?!," Trent said in a frightened tone.
"I am Zuuma, the green dragon of sight and spirit of perception," Zuuma said.
"S-spirit of perception?," Trent asked.
"That is right! Destructive isnt it," Zuuma replied.
"Dragon of sight? What is this? Who are you? Come to kill me?," Trent asked.
"No no, goodness, no. I am here, but to test you young knave," Zuuma said.
"Why the hell are talking to me like that?," Trent said weirded out by the spirits old vocabulary.
"You have burned me, young master and I shall see then if you are even worthy of my talents," the dragon said as he changed into a human form.
"B-burn...wait...so...YOU ARE THE SPIRIT?! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!!," Trent shouted in confusion.
"Supposed to be? I was never alive to begin wish child," he said as his human form shown. He was really tall with green armor that shown greener than the grass.
"Y-you know what I meant!," Trent said.
"I do?," the instant the spirit said this, he kicked Trent off the cliff into the abyss below.
"What the hell!!," Trent shouted as he saw the ledge getting further away and the lighter going out as it hit the ground.
Trent was now falling in utter blackness. He tried to reach out to grab something, anything, but he couldnt. He just kept falling.
He then shut his eyes and prepared for impact.
