Difficulties

The particle flashed and disappeared within the depths of the Sun Emperor's sun seed.

"Indeed it is a Cosmic Seed. Should you mention this occurrence, even in your dreams, you two don't want to know the price."

"Be assured, this Emperor and his subordinate will never reveal today's events," stammered the Sun Emperor.

The Sun Divinity whispered, "This one will sign a divine contract to never reveal the secret."

The Sun Emperor's hand twitched with a strong desire to slap the fool. You want to sign a contract with the enforcer of all the contracts in existence?

"Little one, you will present this seed to him. You will claim it is from you and will not reveal any of our discussion. In addition, you will secretly watch over him. Should a divinity attempt to harass him, you will intervene and protect him accordingly. Fail in your mission, Little Sun Emperor here will witness as a black hole slowly pulls you apart particle by particle."

The Sun Divinity paled. Gingerly accepting the sun seed, he carefully hid it away. "Lord, this one will expend the greatest energy to fulfill your command."

"Little Sun Emperor, should your subordinate faithfully complete his mission. Than you may allow him to rise to rank of Sun King. In addition, allow him to cultivate under the auspices of your progenitors in the Sun Tomb."

The voice and the pressure disappeared. Slowly, the Eye closed.

The Sun Emperor stood up and snarled, "You-You! Don't even think about sleeping. This Emperor will be watching you well. If there's even a hint of failure, be ready to meet your progenitor. Now scram!!"

After bowing deeply, the Sun Divinity's soul returned to his secret realm. Immediately, he stumbled back in relief.

"Lord! Are you unwell?" asked Tian Cai.

Upon hearing Tian Cai call him Lord, the Sun Divinity jumped.

"Honorable Young Master, since we share similar tastes in drink, why not call me Little Brother?"

Honorable Young Master? Little Brother?

Tian Cai's eyes popped. The Sun Divinity actually wanted to acknowledge him as Big Brother!?

If Big Brother is thirsty, let me pour you a drink."

As the Sun Divinity moved to fill Tian Cai's cup, confusion clouded his mind.

What was the sudden change in behavior?

Outside the secret realm, the Sun Emperor's soul was actually monitoring the things.

"This one actually isn't thirsty. Earlier, this one wanted to say he could attempt to brew is own liquor."

"Just call me Little Brother," eagerly said the Sun Divinity.

The Sun Divinity chortled in pleasure. "Big Brother, earlier you were asking for a sun seed. Naturally, anything Little Brother has you need only ask. Here."

Gingerly, The Sun Divinity pulled out the sun seed. Inwardly, he trembled beneath the light of the cosmic seed. Outside, the Sun Emperor reacted similarly. His own sun seed was a treasure amongst the multiverse. But compared to the cosmic seed born at the birth of multiverse itself, wasn't it just a lump of coal? Who exactly was this Zhao Tian Cai to receive such a divine gift?

In fact, he wanted very much to investigate the young'un but the vision of being thrown into a black hole froze the Sun Emperor cold.

Tian Cai's eyes gleamed as he marveled at the blazing seed. Beneath the light, every pore in his body appeared to open and comfortably bath beneath the rays.

Mysteriously, the Sun Divinity's hands turned translucent as he directly embedded the cosmic seed. Drawing back, he asked, "How does it feel?"

Tian Cai groaned. Inconceivable energy inundated his pores and widened them like gateways and amazingly, he felt each connect as thought a vast power grid was coming online. Like a furious rush, he felt heat and power stream relentlessly into his meridians. The energy was so great, the excess escaped his body like steam.

In his mind, endless visions of nebulas, galaxies, stars fleeted through his consciousness. What was this? Slowly, wispy tendrils of cosmic essence gravitated towards Tian Cai.

Both the Sun Emperor and Sun Divinity sighed. A cosmic seed as a root? What kind of powerhouse would this young'un become?

The Sun Emperor sent a thought to the Divinity.

"Fool! Collect the excess, within the remains are the secrets cosmic! Just a hint will greatly enhance our cultivation!"

Briefly startled, the Sun Divinity waved his hand and secretly absorbed the remaining overflow from Tian Cai.

Tian Cai opened his eyes, piercing gleams of power flickering about his irises.

"Good!" he roared.

The Sun Divinity's eyes twitched as he restrained his envy.

"Big Brother, now that you have this seed you need to guard this secret as though it's the treasure of a thousand life times. Earlier, I noticed that you wanted to practice your ancestor's sun art. You have to know, you can no longer practice it."

"Eh? How can that be? The sole reason for me to seek a sun seed was to practice my Ancestor's art."

The Sun Divinity shot a message to the Sun Emperor. "How does this one explain this?"

"Say it's an ancient inheritance. Your sun seed was incompatible with that art as it originates from a different Sun Divinity outside of the Nine Chaos Heavens."

Nodding, the Sun Divinity repeated the explanation to Tian Cai.

"So you're saying that I would have been unable to fully practice my Ancestor's art?" asked Tian Cai.

"Mhm. At first you would experience a power boost, however you would never have fully achieved the full potential. In fact, your cultivation would have been restricted to Grand Empyrean."

"Then what art do I practice?"

The Sun Emperor sent over an explanation.

The Sun Divinity sighed with relief and said, "If you slowly contemplate the seed, an inheritance will reveal itself."

"Considering this information, doesn't this mean my Mother's cultivation is restricted to Grand Empyrean as well?"

The Sun Divinity blinked. Wasn't this young'un full of questions?

The Sun Emperor rubbed his glabella. How was he going to reply to that?

Suddenly, space shifted and a body was thrown out of the void.

The Lord's voice entered the Sun Emperor's mind.

"This little one has a seed compatible with his mother. You work with him to derive a method for the mother to naturally receive it."

The Sun Emperor trembled. The Lord had been watching!?

"Where-Where am I?" asked the bewildered new divinity.

The Sun Emperor quickly exerted his aura and the new divinity realized he was in the presence of a person a couldn't offend.

Snorting, the Sun Emperor said, "You remain silent."

The new divinity fell to his knees and obediently waited.

Before Tian Cai, the Sun Divinity had a broad smile. It had already been three breathes worth of silence to the point that Tian Cai was beginning to think there was an issue.

Finally receiving a message, the Sun Divinity said, "Later, you bring me a drop of your Mother's blood essence. Using this, I can search for your Ancestor's clan. From there, we can see about obtaining a sun seed."

Tian Cai sighed with relief. Now he had hope that his mother could rise beyond Grand Empyrean. However, trying to contemplate a cultivation art by himself? Whenever, Tian Cai tried to cultivate wasn't it hard to even just start? First, he was unable to learn an art from his Masters. Second, he was unable to learn his Ancestor's art. Tian Cai gasped. He literally was sent back home. Then what about everybody else at the temple?

At this time, Little Lord immediately detected Tian Cai's presence.

Just then, Zhao Wen and Shadow Six appeared at some distance to the temple. Luckily, they were able to skirt the City Lord's manor without being discovered. With Little Lord pausing at the Temple, it had given them some time to catch up.

Zhao Wen sighed with great relief. However, alarm quickly took over as two red beams shot out from Little Lord's eyes.

"Noooooooooo!" she screamed.
