Huang Yang had one knee on the ground while the Bronzefire greatsword created a barrier between him and Huo Yu Bo. His robes were a mess, but since whatever he landed on was white from snow, there could not be found that many dirty spots.
Had it not been for the greatsword, he would have likely died. This wasn't a situation like his fight against Huang Zhilan, where he knew that in terms of strength he was superior. This was a senior from more than two generations ahead.
Had Huang Yang been the young master of a higher family, or perhaps raised as a heavenly child, bringing with it arrogance, he may have bullied Huo Yu Bo for being so talentless.
Only having reached the awakening realm at that age, signaled that a person had no real natural talent, or at least did a good job never trying to cultivate.
None of this went through Huang Yang's mind as he was in reality amazed over the power carried by the deepwater snake. It had injured him with nothing more than force, even though his sword had been in the way.
This also gave him new information regarding the awakening realm. It was said that the martial spirit lacked a physical form, but it was likely that by using one's inner qi, the spirit could be more compressed and dense, allowing a person to deliver powerful attacks without a manual.
Then again this was just speculations which he chose to place in the back of his head, since he was currently injured and the blood leaking from his mouth wasn't gonna remove itself.
His eyes scanned the surroundings, trying to find some way to either escape or fight back. The best solution would be for him to get into contact with his grandfather. His thoughts raced as he looked at the frightened people surrounding him. He had an idea, yet he wasn't sure if it was going to work.
"MY NAME IS HUANG YANG!!", he bellowed in his childish voice, hoping for it to sound a bit more masculine.
His shout clearly garnered the attention of the people, as even the guards exchanged glances with worried expressions. To them the Huang family was power, they were the true cultivators who allowed the guards to place food on their tables every day.
Seeing the people's reaction, Huo Yu Bo felt nervous deep down, yet he could not show this. He showed a confidant smile and said, "This demon knows that this is the Huang estate, he is simply a coward trying to find a way out!... Men of the outer Huang estate, do not listen to his lies!".
While he seemed to glow with confidence, not all people readily agreed to it, some seemed to think that making a check-up would be best. This kid obviously held power and was born with limitless talent, only the Huang family had true power when they thought about it.
This little boy was so fierce at such a young age, showed truly incredible fighting ability and hardly seemed that arrogant to the common people who were currently watching his entire battle play out. The most important thing, however, lay in his talent.
This boy looked to be about eight or nine if they went for his height. But here he stood, able to beat up Huo Shan and cut off his hand like it was only a game to him, it even looked as though he had been playing with Huo Shan during their fight as if this was nothing more than a common training for him.
If this kid was part of the Huang family, his talent would make him the most important member, perhaps even in the patriarch's eyes. If the ruler of the Huang family found out about all of this, then what would the fate of Huo Yu Bo be, along with his already beaten son and his gang? They might end up as tools for torture.
Even all of them, the common spectators who had hardly gotten the chance to cultivate one day in their life, they would all be put to death, since they did nothing even after knowing the name of the kid. In this world doing nothing could be counted as killing, if the strongest party thought so.
They all began looking closely at the kid as their eyes widened and sweat rolled, while slightly darker in tone, this kid actually had brown hair and eyes, the signature facial features of the Huang family. While it was true that some had different eye colors, they almost always had brown hair.
The sound of slowly moving feet walking around in the snow was heard, as many of the spectators began creeping their way out of the situation, some entered their houses while others simply ran into the nearest alleyway they could find.
While no one actually noticed it, a guard had taken off with an unknown destination in mind.
Huo Yu Bo was sizzling with a great amount of anger, while a slight hint of fear was welling in his heart. He may be able to walk away now and still live. If the kid was part of the family, then they would allow him to live, since he only protected his son after an unknown person attacked him.
But if he kept on going after the boy said his name, then he would end up dead or tortured for years. While he didn't want to die, he couldn't let Huang Yang go, the little bastard had cut off the hand of his son, which may very well have put a stop to his cultivation, his future was now ruined.
He wanted to yell out, scream with the full power of his lungs, yet he couldn't. He needed to keep us with a confidant and self-assured facade, only then could he calm the people around him, and make them believe in him, unfortunately, some still took off in fear´.
"For your crimes, I will skin you alive!", he bellowed as the deepwater snake coiled itself quickly before taking charge toward Huang Yang.
Many spectators had almost completely gone into hiding after seeing the scene of Huang Yang flying back the last time.
Huang Yang took a deep breath as his eyes sharpened, he needed to strike Huo Yu Bo, as the only upside he could get in this battle was physical strength, but it wouldn't help him when fighting the snake, which didn't truly have a physical form.
His pupils shrank as he tightly grasped the Bronzefire greatsword in his right hand and burst out to meet the snake. The Silent Slash sword was still in his left hand almost undetectable.
Seeing Huang Yang, charge forward to clash with his martial spirit, Huo Yu Bo's lips curled up into a sinister smile, "HAHA if you are so eager to die then let me help you!", he laughed with all of his might.
As Huang Yang was a couple of meters away from the snake, he suddenly bent his knees and allowed his power to flow through them, sending him up into the air in a hurry. He adjusted the greatsword in his hand to be between him and the deepwater snake.
Due to the speed of the two, he was now almost right above the snake, before Huo Yu Bo had time to react. With a quick thought, he commanded the snake to move up, making it heavily slam its head up into the sword that was blocking it from Huang Yang.
The force from the clash, only allowed Huang Yang to reach new heights as he soared. His direction had one goal, Huo Yu Bo.
Seeing Huang Yang in midair coming towards him like a meteor only broadened Huo Yu Bo's wicked smile, as he knew that the kid had nowhere to run, he could only meet him when falling. He didn't even care enough to let his martial spirit return, as he now could kill the boy himself.
Up in the air, Huang Yang had the greatsword held tightly in his hand. By a combination of qi and the connection he had to the metal elements, he made a fast spin with his body. When the greatsword was once again nearing the direction of Huo Yu Bo he allowed it to shot out.
The spin had added momentum and power to the sword which now descended toward Huo Yu Bo with newfound speed.
The arrogant Huo Yu Bo looked unworried as he allowed the Ice Cold palm art to activate. He was going to break this sword with his own full power. His eyes had almost completely ignored Huang Yang's body, not even seeing it as a threat.
This boy had clearly used all of his power in this one throw, hoping for it to have enough power to bring down his enemy. This sword did indeed hold power, but his qi was at the awakening realm, and by concentrating he could destroy a perfect human tier weapon.
Huo Yu Bo did nothing but give a cruel smile since he saw this approaching sword as nothing more than a young boy's desperate attack.
