The voice of an old man had almost blown away the nearby building, yet it was nothing compared to the icy feeling they all felt when they heard him shout. While the fire was burning their bodies, enveloping them in heat. They could hardly notice it thanks to the deep killing intent coming from it.
The man who shouted clearly had deep fury within his heart, enough to level the entire city, letting it rod away even. Perhaps none of the buildings would survive this time.
Some ran away while screaming, that the father of the little demon had come to take his revenge. People even believed that the Huang family was done for, seeing as everything was being burnt to ashes.
This was, however, only the thoughts of ignorant fools, who had no knowledge of the family they were serving. The guards and elderly, who had walked these streets for years, knew far more about this situation.
This was not an attack planned by demons, it was not even an attack planned by anybody. This was the power of a martial spirit. The martial spirit running in the blood of the people that they were serving.
With loud thumps, the nearby guards, even the ones who had broken out from the circle all knelt down in an orderly fashion. Clear signs of fear, adoration and unyielding respect were all being presented across their faces.
"Greetings Patriarch!!", they scream with their full might. They were guards and had naturally had the chance to see the patriarch. They needed to know who they were taking orders from, so situations like this one wouldn't happen.
It was rather unfortunate that they had never seen Huang Yang before, giving them no opportunity to kneel when seeing him. To them, he was just a kid, and with his strength, he may have been a demon lord in disguise or something like that.
Thundering steps ran out as Huang Canfeng came marching forward. His steps seemed heavy and his burning qi melted the snow before his feet touched the ground.
"Now you kneel?! Where was this respect when you were surrounding my grandchild!", he angrily said before continuing, "He said his name out LOUD!! But you did nothing, only some common people came sprinting to me with the news!".
His anger allowed flames to rise from his body, as if he was a fallen sun, only here to melt away the cold winter snow. The lion roared with might that shook the sky and broke the houses.
His long grey hair had begun levitating as intense flames gathered around each strand, giving it a deep red color. As if he was one with the lion, his eyes glowed red with madness.
The pressure his body gave off, forced all of those, who still tried to stand, down to the ground with their heads first. Had it not been for him showing mercy when it came to the elderly and children. People may have died.
Huang Yang seemed to lose the rest of his energy as he saw his grandfather approach him. He silently tried to talk, yet the pain and loss of qi drove him into a deep sleep. Huang Canfeng took a couple of fast steps, reaching Huang Yang in time to catch his tired body.
A gentle look surface on his face before burying it with haste. His finger pointed out to one of the guards, calling him over. The guard jumped up in fright, as he did not dare to make the patriarch wait more than a second.
When he was but a couple of feet from him, Huang Canfeng asked him what had happened in a deep voice, which made the guard's heart skip a beat. Seeing the power of the man in front of him, he did not dare to hold back any information.
Different emotions would flash beneath his burning eyes as he heard the story spoken to him in detail. In the end, his eyes locked onto Huo Yu Bo.
"We gave you life, we gave you power and this... This is how you repay me and my family! By trying to KILL MY GRANDSON!!", he bellowed as his voice almost pushed back Huo Yu Bo who was already quite a distance away.
Huo Yu Bo was still a beaten mess, with red lines spawning deep within his eyes. It turned out that the boy was actually part of the Huang family and that he was even the patriarch's grandson!
"No, no, no, no, NO!", Huo Yu Bo said with new drops of sweat forming on his face for every word. His blood kept on flowing from his lips, yet the anger and fear in him seemed to ignore it.
"He-He's a demon, he mutilated my SON!", he screamed out, seemingly not showing any respect to the patriarch who he had served his entire life.
"You dare to talk, the fault lies with you, your son, and everyone who followed him!", Huang Canfeng said. His voice seemed more quiet know, yet the killing intent within it had exploded out, freezing the hearts of the young people who saw Huo Shan as their boss. "A sinner must pay".
The last words had triggered Huo Yu Bo. He tried to stand up and run, completely disregarding his pain. His target was Huo Shan. But how could Huang Canfeng allow him to move? With a sudden move, he brandished his fierce flame saber, as roaring flames emerged.
While he was using a saber, he could still use the Roaring Flame sword art. The strike sounded like a mighty lions roar, coming from a red saber. Unstoppable flames created a prison around Huo Yu Bo who could no longer move.
"Now you must stand witness, this is your first punishment", Huang Canfeng said, waiting for the realization of what was about to happen, to hit Huo Yu Bo.
He silently turned to look at the young men and women of the gang which had been ruled by Huo Shan. They all lay on the ground with scared faces. They had offended the wrong person, but even if the person had been weak, they should still be punished.
The first person Huang Canfeng looked at was the lookout boy, Peng Chen, who had called out to Huang Yang, wanting to steal his stuff. He was currently laying beside the lookout girl, Fu Shui.
"While not directly hurting a Huang family member, you plotted to steal all he owned and had malicious thought, for this your sentence is... death!", Huang Canfeng said.
"Please, please, I-I was just serving Huo Shan and loo-looking out for myself", Peng Chen said with a shaking voice. Never would he have imagined that he would end up like this. He was a boy who had joined the wrong crowd after his life didn't go according to plan.
Tears were still streaming down his face, softly landing on the ground which had now been cleared from all traces of snow, thanks to the overbearing heat coming from Huang Canfeng.
Without even trying to take in a breath or two, he kept on apologizing and loudly begging for mercy, yet Huang Canfeng did not waver. His eyes were firm and cold like ice. He had already made a decision and knew that these people would serve as an example to all those that thought about hurting his family.
His saber moved with great accuracy, as an afterimage was seen by the throat of Peng Chen. Had a person blinked they would have missed the strike. People felt fear, yet some even saw this as being merciful.
They clearly knew that the patriarch had enough power to crush the young man with nothing more than pure pressure, yet this would cause incredible pain. This was a clean death, which allowed Peng Chen to quickly go to the beyond.
The patriarch was not a cruel or ruthless person in nature, but he upheld the rules. In all honestly, he didn't want to kill the boy, but he knew that he needed to. Maybe he would live better in his next life.
Fu Shui saw the death of the man she had followed up to the Huang estate and felt as though she could see her own fate coming near. She feared the thought of not being able to stop her own death.
She was a weak girl and hated working for Huo Shan. She had some talent, but she didn't even get a chance to use it. All she could do was silently close her eyes, allowing her soul to peacefully pass on.
Huang Canfeng moved his eyes from the, now dead, Peng Cheng, over to the shivering Fu Shui who had already closed her eyes.
"You witnessed the act of injustice without acting in any way shape or form", he said with a heavy voice. From what he had heard, this girl was not evil by nature. She didn't even want to steal the stuff Huang Yang was carrying, but he still had to judge her.
"For your crimes you are... Exiled!"
