CHAPTER NINE

EUNJEE

"I can't believe the President just asked you out!" Doc Kim shrieks like a teenage girl while she kept on leading me away from the people we were with during the meeting. She must have heard me and the president talking and right now she's been trying to bombard me with so many questions.

"Unnie! You should really stop saying that. Someone might here you and think differently." I tried warning her to atleast make her shut up a little bit "and he didn't ask me out like a date. He just wanted to know me better" I also tried defending my situation because I don't want to put another stupid idea on her.

"Yes. Make yourself believe that kind of crap you making your self think. I've beenj working here for so like 3 years now and hell did he even introduce or spare a minute to glance at me, no he didn't" she looks at me "This is the very first time that I heard and saw President Lim approaching and talking to someone like us"

"Why? What is so wrong about us that your making this a big deal" I was getting a bit irritated. "And I didn't even say yes to his offer because before I even had a chance to do so, you were already dragging me away."

"Oh don't give that!! You were looking really pale when I got to you. I know his hot and all, but you atleast have to hide it" She informs me. We reached our break room, good thing no one was around except the two of us.

"Fine, his kind of hot and when he asked me, it almost sucked the sense out of me. I mean, how does he manages to still look good when his managing this huge business." Unnie grabbed some drinks inside the fridge and gave me one.

"You still haven't given him your answer though. I mean come on, your not really going to say no right? Cause his like your boss and if you say no, it might cause you your job, worst your career" She points out to me which actually made me bit scared.

"But unnie, what if Mark finds out? I mean, he made me wait for him remember?" she looks at me

"Come on Eunjee, he hasn't made contact to you for days now, if he really wants you to wait, he should atleast show some effort or assurance that he is still coming back to you." She looks around making sure that no one is really around " I mean yeah, his your husband and all, but lets be honest, both of you are not really in love to each other, your just in this make pretend situation." she points out.

"I'm very much sure that the President knows i'm married though. So maybe his really just curious about his employees." I tried reasoning out again but of course, even I can see that our Presidents actions weren't just because he wants to have a quality time with his employees, not with them alone anyways.

I thought of Mark, its true that I haven't had the chance to talk to him, his been very distant just like what I said before. The president knows that I am married and all this secrecy I'm hiding, but why is he doing this? What is his goal?

All this things are making me confuse, if there one thing i'm sure right now, its that I love my job more than anything right now and I'll do anything just to keep it.

// MARK

We were led by Jyp-hyung inside his office, he both instructed us to sit while he signs for something.

"Okay boys, you might be wondering why I called you here, I won't be long. This concerns about Eunjee's part time work here. President Lim, her boss, just called me to inform me that Eunjee will be focusing on her job back in the hospital, also" he adds " He asked me to make sure that you boys wont bother her for awhile. He specifically ask me to make sure that I get you away from her as much as possible." Jb looked at me before facing Jyp-hyung back.

"But hyung, the others boys wont allow that to happen. Also there's this Mark situation here, what if his parents decides to show up, what would he say, that Eunjee's boss ask him to not his wife for awhile?" I can see how this situation has made Jb mad.

"Hyung, did the President say anything about why would he want us away from Eunjee, I mean I get that her work is very much eats all her time, before she got the job from her company, she was really getting thin. The guy.." I sighed and looked again to Jyp-hyung "they love hanging out with Eunjee, she somehow manages to give strength to the guys, she's like their little sister. If you tell them not to see Eunjee its like telling them to leave their family all over again." I said

"Mark is right hyung. We are in our crucial day, the only thing that makes the other guys still look through the days of pushing hard for our comeback is the thought that by the end of the day they could still hang-out with Eunjee. She like one of their family now, not just them but to me and Mark also." Jb finishes

"I now what you both are saying, I've seen how she works hard and I know how she makes sure that every artists that are working in this company are in good health. That's why i'm only talking to the two of you, being the adult and mature ones in the group, I know that you would be able to handle the boys when they decide to not follow. President Lim knows that Eunjee is married to you Mark, but his always been so fond of Eunjee, he even told me that what Eunjee is working right now can lead her to a much greater opportunity." Jyp insists.

"But hyung, this could really distract us all. I mean not just the younger ones but all of us. Just awhile ago, they were already planning on surprising Eunjee to her house after our practice. How are we going to stop that now?" Jb tells Jyp because during our break awhile ago, they all agreed to meet Eunjee because its one of those days today that she's not around the company, she's on duty back at the hospital. They wanted to surprise her by visiting her house later but I wasn't going with them.

"Boys, believe me, if I could change President Lim's mind I would but he was dead serious when he asked me that. I just can't deny his request because after all I was the one who asked him to make Eunjee our company doctor. Its was favor and now I'm repaying it back. Its just for a couple of weeks, by the time you finish everything from your comebacks and guesting , i'm sure Eunjee will also be back by then." Jyp assures us, while Jb was still a bit mad I was wondering. I was thinking about what Jyp-hyung said about the President being so fond of Eunjee, it didn't really settled well in my mind. If I didn't know better I would say that that guy just want Eunjee for himself.

//EUNJEE

After my talk with Doc Kim, we decided that we should probably return to our stations and do our work. By the time I got back, the Emergency was barely holding off, all the resident are entertaining different patients and they are all doing all they could, when I saw them really experiencing hell I decided to step in.

Apparently no one came down when the nurses kept on paging for assistance. They've been in this kind of situation because they were some patients who keeps demanding they see someone with more experience and refuses to get treatment from our younger residents making it crowded inside the emergency room. After awhile, Doctor Kim joins me and together we entertained the ones who need more medical attention coming from us and let the younger resident deal with the minor cases.

It didn't take us hours to finish up, since after Doctor Kim heard from the nurses that no one came when they paged, she personally paged every doctor that is available and lets just say that she gave them a piece of her mind.

After our last patient, we decided to teach some of the younger residents some stuff, just incase we are not around and they're the ones left behind they'll be able to work, they are after all a doctor.

"Always remember, when a patient comes in, you don't need to tell them anything about you being just a resident or someone who has experience already, they come here because they need someone to cure them, when you encounter this kind of situation again, always stick in your mind that you are a doctor and you know what your doing. Be confident." Doctor Kim told them and they all nod "Doc T. Is there anything you want to add up?" she asks me "A little word of encouragement may be?"

"Always remember that you are here to cure patients, you swore an oath that you'll do anything in your own capabilities to use everything you've learned in curing and saving lives. If someone asks to face another doctor and not you, show them why they should trust you." I've always believe that the patients will only ask for someone much better to look after them because they actually see through every doctor they encounter, if they see that your not as confident, they wont give their trust on you, but if you show them persistence and compassion, they will surely trust you with their lives.

After the discussion it was finally the end of my shift and so I said my goodbyes and hand over all of my charts to the nurses station. All done and ready for anyone to see or review. I was wearing my casual clothes today so it wasn't so hard to change back from my scrubs to my clothes this morning. After finishing up, I grabbed my car keys and bag before closing my locker and leave the room. I was almost at out of the hospital when I heard my phone ring and saw that it was Chief Park.

"Hello?"

"Eunjee-ssi, i'm just going to inform you that all your schedule to JYP entertainment are to be pushed back. You'll need to focus on helping Chief Yook with his patient Newt. Starting tomorrow you'll be having your duty back at the hospital, until further notice, you are to keep away from any distraction and focus on the job at hand. I'll email some of the data's for you to review. You'll comeback to JYP entertainment after all is done with patient Newt. Curing this patient is your no.1 priority right now. Do you understand?" Chiek Park confirms

"Okay Chief. I'll review your email as soon as possible" Chief Park didn't answer as he ended the call and left me with a tinge of sadness. I wont be able to see the guys and Mark. Not that I miss him or something but we still have some unfinish business, this not talking and not seeing isn't really going to help us both.

A message came in to my phone from an unknown number. When I got to my car I opened the message and saw that it was from President Lim.

So about that dinner I asked you? I hope you say yes. This is Kang Jin. Save my no. Ill be waiting for your answer

Since I wasn't sure what to say I didnt respond but made sure to save his number. I drove back home as I was going near my place I saw a hooded guy near my house, his face wasn't visible so it made my heart beat faster but I have no other choice. I parked the car and made sure that i still have my pepper spray incase he or she attacks me. I opened my side of the door and made sure to lock it before walking fast to my door, I heard footsteps behind me which made me a lot more anxious, i reached my door and was about to open it when I felt someones presence behind me. I was shaking and really scared to look back, I was slowly turning my head back when the person suddenly holds my shoulders and the next thing I know I was pressing my pepper spray and someone holding my hand directing the spray to a different direction, away from his face.

"Eunjee relax!" The person in front of me shouted at me "this thing can make me blind!" He told me again before taking the thing out of my hand. I was too stunned that I just kept my mouth shut and study the person in frony of me. I can't still see his face but his voice is kind of familiar.  He must have noticed my discomfort because the next thing he does was removing his hood and presenting himself.

"Its just me Eunjee. You dont need to worry." Mark shows his face again before covering his self back. "We need to go inside. I forgot to bring my keys so I waited for you" he explains, after about a second i came back to my senses and opened my door. He locks it behind us before he goes to my kitchen and drank some of my bottled waters.

I watch him as he continues to move around my place. He took off his hoodie jacket and left it on my sofa, good thing he was wearing something inside his jacket. Saves me from drooling over his abs, not that I've seen it before personally. Well maybe I did but he doesn't know that.

"Stop staring, unless you want to put your things aside, I suggest you start moving. You look like a statue just standing there" Mark teases. He flops his body on my sofa, I place my thing on the side table near me and went to get some water for myself.

"Do you mind telling me what is with all the hiding and you suddenly coming here?" I finally have the courage to ask since his absence has really affected me and now that his here I have a lot of question and I'm not going to stop until I get them.

"News flash, I'm an idol and we can't be seen together" He tells me

"So what are you doing here?"

"What? Am I not allowed to visit you now?" he retorts

"That depends" I sat across from him

"Depends on what?"

"Depends on your reason for this visit"

"Well, apparently i'm not allowed to see you for the time being." he says not looking at me

"What do you mean?" he finally looks at me and holds his eyes on me

"Your boss asked my boss to make us not see you for the time being, something about you being busy and need some time to focus on that work" he explains "Look, the giving you your space and all was okay for me, but the guys didn't like the idea. What I didn't like was the part where I was told that your boss actually adores you so much that his willing to open as many doors of opportunity there is, just for you." I tried processing everything he just said but there's this overwhelming feeling inside of me that's preventing me from thinking straight and I just can't seem to form a coherent response to his words so I didn't even try.

"I know I shouldn't be bothered but I am Eunjee. The last time we talked I know I asked you to atleast wait just a little more, I know that was a jerk move but i'm still figuring things out" he looks really frustrated but I kept my mouth shut and just let him talk "Every time the guys went to see you I was always tempted to come but I was afraid that I might say or do something stupid, I also know that we both needed time to think things through and that seeing each other wont be such a good help. But I need to know, I need to know if your still in this Eunjee. Cause if your not, then please save us the time and just tell me straight away, that way I wont need to think about you everyday and just pretend that I don't care" he finishes

I kept looking at him, not knowing what to say or do to this kind of situations. I do like Mark but I just cant tell him that right now, he is still not sure of what he feels towards me. For all I know his just attracted to me because we were force into this kind of relationship. I didn't expect him to be this worked up because of President Lim, not that I don't like the attention from him but its making me more confuse. His not confessing anything only that his asking for me to assure him that i'm still waiting for him, but if I do that then he'll know that i'm really into him and that's just not right.

Silence consumed us both, we didn't speak nor did we move from where we were sitting. Eyes still locked on each other, just looking. Its like his trying to tell me something through his eyes and mine doing the same. Its sounds cliché but he starts to lean on me and moments later I was also moving a bit closer to him and leaning. His eyes were so close that it looks like i'm watching his life through his eyes, feeling and looking at everything he has to offer.

He was looking between me and my lips, biting his lips in the process. I felt him breathe in slowly and leans a little bit more, he looks at me one last time and when he didn't receive any contradictions from me, he kisses me slowly before cupping my face and deepening the kiss.

With eyes closed and slow breathes, he kept on exploring my lips, teasing me from time to time. His consuming my thoughts, I can't seem to think straight because right now all I want is him and this moment we have. I moved a little bit near him cause I really want to feel him, and he didn't seem to mind instead he moved his hands on my waist the other on on my hips. My hands however has its own mind, it keeps moving from Marks chest to his shoulder to his arms until it reaches his head and hair.

He kissed me sweetly and it like a drug that's keeping me so high. I felt his tongue touch my lips a little bit and I smiled. I teased him a little bit by not letting him in, it made him groan and it was the sweetest thing I ever heard. It made me a bit embarrass. We kept on kissing each other when Mark suddenly decides to lift me up and puts me on his lap, making me straddle on him. The action made things a little bit more hot and intimate. I didn't mind though because I was enjoying myself and Marks groans just confirms that he is also enjoying this interaction between us.

// KANG JIN

"Sir, are you sure you want me to do this?" my assistant asks me again after I gave him some instructions about my new interest.

"Yes, make sure you find out everything, she's really interesting. Too sad she's married though, well not for long" I grinned thinking about her, she was very talented that's for sure. When I first found out thet she has husband, I didn't really mind but hearing so many good things about her and seeing her in action made me changed my mind. "I want to know everything about her. So make sure to find out even the smallest detail. Understood?" I told my assistant

"Yes sir" he bows his head and excuses himself.

I smiled to my thoughts of her, she makes me curious and I like that. I like girls who make me chase and think of them. No matter what, i'll make sure I get her. Now that she needs to be in the hospital, I can surely make her like me back.
