Dangerous Job

15 BBY: Southern Hemisphere, Kijimi

"THIS IS NOT GOOD AT ALL!"

Kai held up the ship with all his might while Kema tried to keep herself composed as an opponent attacked.

-

Kijimi was an icy spike-ball of a planet that was icier than usual. Since it was a Mid Rim world, the empire easily had its eyes set on the scummy planet. Lot's of unused mountains of the south meant big concentration camps for the empire to use. However, some villages refused the tyranny and became solely known as Tarkintowns; towns the empire would lock economically.

Such was Kijimi's Tarkintown, which began operation after the declaration of the Empire. The poor citizens of this town would survive with a few credits a day, and basic needs were a luxury. It was time. Basic needs were basic needs.

Five clicks to the west of the town was usually a caravan of Imperial transports that travelled north to Kijimi city from the south. The caravans would transport minerals, food, water and anything valuable fished from the planet's south caps. Usually, four stormtroopers led a caravan in transport and five carts that stored goods.

Kema and Kai's modified Lambda shuttle preyed upon the caravan that travelled towards the city for a nice stop. The ship hovered just above the caravan, enough for a fly-in and pickup.

"Alright, you better keep the ship steady!" Kema said to Kai, who did his best. "This thing better not drop,"

The ramp lowered, and Kema jumped right down to the transport that drove the caravan. Igniting her sabre, she tore a hole through the top and dropped below in a grand entrance. She stood with the smoke that escaped through the hole as the stormtroopers also stood to identify the intruder. She looked amazing.

"Hey boys!" she uttered as blasts exploded towards her. Twirling the sabre from side to side, she deflected blasts and began walking towards the troopers and cutting down their blasters. "Alright, I need you all to listen,"

Before she could speak any further, a trooper ran towards her for an attack. She swayed away from the incoming punches and kicks. She would hold a trooper's fist and send it flying towards a comrade. When they began overwhelming her, a thrust of her hand sent them hurling towards the cockpit. One stormtrooper would then radio assistance.

"Oh no," she gasped inside her head and ran towards the cockpit. On the way, she would run up the left wall and throw a flying kick towards a trooper and elbowed the next two. Leaving one trooper who stood at the cockpit. She walked up and trusted her balled fist straight to his head. The caravan then stopped in its tracks.

"Uh, Kema. What did you do?" Kai asked through comms as he surveyed the surrounding signals. "Why did a signal just go out right now?"

"What's happening?"

"Someone's running towards you, straight up!" he uttered as she gazed her eyes out towards the windshield. Out of the distance ran a figure with a red ignited blade. As the figure dashed towards the transport, it crashed through the windshield and lunged for a slash!

In a swift moment of concern, Kema raised her sabre and parried the incoming blow. The sabres clashed in a loud frenzy as she stared towards her opponent; so did her opponent. The opponent wore a dark shiny mask and equipped in a nice thin robe with an Inquisitor's suit. The Imperial emblem screamed to Kema, warning her she was a threat.

"What's wrong, never saw a red blade?" the opponent's voice was coarse from the mask but kept her playful attitude expressed. Kema dipped low and with a kick, she thrust the opponent stumbling forward. She flipped over, turning to the opponent, and watched her every move.

"Who are you?" she said while saluting in a Form IV stance.

"An Inquisitor, here to hunt a specific Corde!" she smiled beneath her mask as she twirled her angry sabre to a Form V salute. "Weak stance, this will be easy!"

The Inquisitor charged from across the transport and began throwing slashes towards a defensive Kema. She dashed backwards, deflecting as much attacks as possible. For a while, she blocked every cut going towards her but when the moment wouldn't be in her favour; she thrust her hand towards the Inquisitor, pushing her towards the end of the transport.

In retaliation, the Inquisitor thrust her hand towards Kema and blasted her into the crashed windshield and right outside where she thudded on the snowy floor.

Meanwhile, in the sky. Kai ran out of patience and hopped out of his seat to clip the cargo by himself. Using one rope, he descended towards the cargo and clipped the end. He then moved towards the other side and motioned his hand towards the other rope, calling it to him. He then clipped the cargo and lept up to the cargo hold.

"Alright Kema, cargo secured!" he spoke into comms as the ropes raised the cargo onto the ramp where he pulled it into the hold. "Hurry up!"

"Can you tell that I'm occupied right now?" she roared into her comms while she sat on the floor as she massaged her aching back. However, just after she sat up to recover, the Inquisitor lept out of the transport and threw even more blows.

The Inquisitor became angrier, faster and hungrier. Flying backwards, Kema parried the blows one by one before she started attacking. With her figure four twirls, she created a barrier where the Inquisitor had to retreat. Kai noticed the shift and called Kema.

"Kema blast her away from you!" he yelled into the comms. She followed and threw her hand towards the Inquisitor, but as the Inquisitor noticed. She also thrust her hands towards Kema, blasting them a distance from each other. Therefore Kai unveiled his cunning plan and shot a grenade towards the Inquisitor!

BOOM!

The grenade exploded in a loud blast which pushed back the Inquisitor, disorienting her for a quick second. She still breathed from her protective suit and staggered to a sitting position. She would then watch Kema run towards the ship and stand by the ramp.

"It was a pleasure to meet you!" Kema yelled from the distance as the ramp ascended into its closing point. She then climbed from the cargo hold's ladder and came up to the main area. There she met Kai, who ran off to the cockpit and fired the engines.

"Who was she?" Kai asked as the ship lifted off.

"Some Inquisitor, I don't know the Sith have little apprentices now!" Kema answered as he assisted Kai with the lift-off. "But we have a mission to finish, let's get out of here!"

The ship blasted off towards the Tarkintown. They loaded the ship with supplies for the citizens and this would be a glorious mission for Kema to complete. Afterwards, she laid back in a sigh of relief.

"Now we're good!" Kai smiled.
