Faei Garden

Fanella closed her eyes and flashed back to when Damon had said Iona had filled his bear totem with pure magic. It was a risk and it would work, but that's not what Fanella had problems with.

The cloak came down. They were in a small area full of fresh ripe plants.

"What is this place?" Iona said softly.

"We were sent here to check on the harvest. We are expecting terrible times ahead of us so we have been preparing." Jien explains with a smile.

It did feel much lighter now.

"Why are you disclosing such information?" Fanella didn't know if she wanted the answer.

"We were expecting you. We were told to not judge you by your peoples actions and trust you."

"Who?" Iona questioned.

"Dark Elf King." Both Fanella and Regumi said at the same time. Though Fanella's was through more disbelief and fear.

"Right?"

"He said you were going to need our help."

"I don't think that's a good idea." Fanella declines and stands looking at Iona as if to inform her to stay there. Something still wasn't right, at home she would naturally absorb all pure energy. The plants naturally create it and elven plants produce more. She still couldn't see the energy which meant she hadn't absorbed any.

Maybe they were blinding her somehow? She really didn't know much about dark elf magic to begin with. Why would the Dark Elf King wish to help her? Thinking through possibilities she circled back to rogue dark elves.

"You know the Light Elves don't banish their people?" She circled around a tree feeling it to try to sense pure magic. Nothing… What was this place? Who were these elves?

"Break a rule too grand and you get executed. Its to ensure secrets don't get out." To which Iona got onto the Water Panther slowly as Fanella had them facing the opposite direction.

"What does that mean? Did you willing leave your safe haven?" Savath says it much darker.

"That's the thing. I would do anything to ensure the safety of my kingdom. Even if it meant I had to leave." With that the Water Panther bolted out of there and the four turned back then looked back towards Fanella.

"Why did you do that? We didn't mean you any harm." Jien looks at her like she had just broken her heart.

"What are you?" Fanella was furious.

"What? How do you not know the making of your own hand?" Savath chuckles in disbelief.

"What are you talking about?" Fanella felt trapped, it was just like home.

"We were once Dark Elves and we were sent by the Dark Elf king to find you. But that was many years ago. There are a lot of things you don't know, things that were kept from you. Everything is because of you, we are just messengers." Regumi sighed.

"Then tell me the message and let me go." Fanella picked a piece of fruit to examine it.

"Everything that has happened to you is in Inami's plan. She spoke to our king informing him that the breaker of the curse would set everything right."

"I don't want to hear that." Fanella placed the fruit at the bottom of the tree.

"You are special. You have to fight." Jien was adamant pacing back and forth as she listened to Fanella fighting fate.

"I have to save my people…" Fanella paused.

"There is something wrong with the Light Elves? They wouldn't let just anyone deal with fixing it… You are a princess." Regumi chuckles shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

"That doesn't make sense." Jien shakes her head rather frustrated.

"Stop talking! She knows too much." Savath bites back. Regumi, Jien, and Savath begin to argue. Meanwhile Houken walks up to Fanella and fixes the hair in her face.

"You really are something else." He whispered drawing a small smile.

"I just want to go home." Fanella took a deep breath.

"I am sorry we have taken so much of your time. They mean well, and they are just doing their job. Feel free to sleep under our cloak any time. We have kept you long enough." He waved his hand.

"You aren't dark elves anymore?" Fanella walked through the door sized space he had just created.

"No, we had to give up something very important to be able to talk to...someone very important… We really don't have a species anymore, and we live only on the dreams of those who pass."

"Every species should have a name… To thank you I will rename you… Ageless, dream eaters… I think you should be called Faei." Fanella smiled softly and winked as Houken's eyes grew with more interest and confusion. Nodding he puts down his hand making the little garden vanish.
