OUTBREAK (5)

* "AHHHH!!!" * It hurts, I don't like pain! Make it stop! It hurts, I don't like pain! Make it stop! It hurts, I don't like pain! Make it stop! It hurts, I don't like pain! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

I do not know how many times this had circulated in my mind as the pain had already made my head go numb. As the blood spurt out of my ripped right leg, the pain continued to make waves in my head.

Why did I even do such a stupid act? Acting like a hero? Do I want to become a hero so much that I became such a stupid person just like those stories? This is not something that I want.

Why did I have to remember Von at that woman? This is not going the way I want it to, am I going to die!? I don't want to die yet, I can't die yet, I must live, I have to live, I will live through this whole thing.

I roared in my head all the thoughts that might encourage my body to draw out the strength that might have stayed hidden inside my body. I don't care what it is, but whatever it is that they attached into me, come out if you're there, I need to live, I still have something I need to do accomplish!

This is not the time that I will die, I will live through this thing. I need to live through this, I need to, I want to. This is the first desire that in the eight years that I have been alive. Death here is not an option, I still have many goals, and I have yet to question that wench, this orc is not going to kill me.

A mere silver rank monster is not going to put me out of commission just yet. Now, I have to find a way on how I can escape. I need to escape in order to live, or at the very least I need to find a place to hide.

But I have very limited ways of movement, I am missing a leg and both my arms are broken. Holding and using a gun is not going to be viable, its recoil is going to be enough to try to take me out.

Think Xiron, you are the son of Von, you need to be quick-witted, you need to move! As I tried thinking of a method, I thought up of something and turned to the gun and the wand.

The wand was ten meters to my right and the gun was twenty meters behind the orc. Both options were not viable to take so I began circulating the mana in the Mage Channels.

Circulating mana in channels is done in Martial Channels for increasing the sturdiness of their body and increasing their strength. The Mage Channels directly opposed that idea because its method of usage was not allocation but collection to a single point which all end in the Mana Core.

But that doesn't mean a Mage can't do a makeshift allocation of mana.

Though it is far slower than a Martial's method of allocation, it could still be done. So, I made my move and began leading the mana to both arms and all over my body.

The allocation of mana was executed quickly. With twelve Mage Channels move as fast as possible and reached every corner of my body. I now gained partial control of my incapacitated limbs.

My leg is now full of energy and I finally gained the ability to move albeit rather limited. Using the wall to help me get back up I raised my head and watched the orc that was eating my leg.

The sound of bones getting crushed and grounded to dust was heard. I do not like that sound because that grinding came from my bones. But I have no time to make any sound of complaints, I need to move and finish this oaf.

It is a threat to my life, I need to eliminate it in order to live. So, I jumped to my right towards the direction of the wand. I circulated my mana to my extended left arm and stretched it forward to grab the wand. I prepared Igni in my left arm to its very limits.

I moved in complete silence, but the bastard orc still heard the minute sound of my movements and immediately turned around to look at its prey (me). The orc got irritated at the sight of its food leaving in haste so it lunged itself forward to grab me with its remaining right hand.

But it missed as I twisted my body in order to avoid getting caught. But the orc was sly despite being a monster, it moved its body forward with the momentum it had created and opened its large maw.

The pig-head orc opened its mouth wide and quickly made its way towards me. I had just twisted my body so I have no chance of fully dodging those sharp and strong teeth. Using my broken but reinforced right hand as the support and tried rolling my body to the side.

I generated enough momentum to roll to one side, but my left hand flailed as I focused the reinforcement on my right hand. With my left-hand flailing, the orc changed its target from my body to the unprotected left hand.

Chomp! SsssskkkK!

The orc bit onto it and deeply buried its teeth on my whole left hand. And as it bit me deeply into my very bones, it severed its connection to the other Mage Channels, all is going as planned.

The backlash of the spell having been cut from the Mage Channels after its creation created a reaction that triggered the spell to malfunction in the way it was not intended to. The spell was activated using another medium other than a wand, and that medium was the very arm I sacrificed, and the results?

Boom!

A loud and strong explosion!

The head of the orc exploded into bits and as I showed in the brain matter of the orc, the aftermath of the explosion was something unexpected. The wall that was behind me earlier crumbled and the orc with its head exposing was also blown away by the explosion and landed right in front of me and the wall behind me finally fell.

Boom!

The over two-meter towering body of the orc managed to save my life. The debris of the fallen wall had created a gap in between the rubbles enough for me to fit.

With the corpse of the orc that I had just killed beside me, being entrapped in between the debris of the wall, and my severe wounds beginning to take its toll on me as I continuously lose blood, my gaze became hazier than before and before I knew it everything blacked out.

And without Xiron's knowledge at the time, the blood that had flowed out of the orc was not creating a puddle as it was slowly gathering around his body and slowly creating what seems to be a protective layer around him.

A few seconds later the bleeding from his injuries stopped and the remaining blood of the orc began to be absorbed by him and a white figure that escaped its body entered Xir's body.

All of this began as soon as he lost consciousness and something flashed a purple light inside his Silver Mana Core.
