*7 Wooing the future Mrs. Mouse (2)

On his way home to the cave Mr. Penn came across a bit of cloth that must have been dropped by a traveler, no bigger than a half of a handkerchief, it was perfect for a cover in a mouse bed. Taking it by the corner in his mouth Mr. Penn made his way as it was getting close to sunset. He had no intention of being out at night as he could become someone's meal.

Stopping only briefly a few feet from his destination he picked up a tree but and filled his hungry belly. Feeling better he climbed into the cave and made his way to his newly constructed bed. All of the gemstones softly welcomed him back and bid him goodnight. Exhausted he whispered goodnight to them as well. it was good to be loved.

That night his head was filled up with dreams of the beautiful silver furred mouse. Wondering if he could meet her again. Wishing to know how soft silky her fur must be. He was smitten.

Over the next few days they met where he had saved her. Bringing bits of food and flowers for her they became closer. One day he built up the courage to see where he lived. She agreed right away. leading her to the cave he made her close her eyes and took her paw as they stepped inside. Opening her eyes she was floored at the gorgeous sight. light shimmered all over the cave. Every color imaginable played out before her. Her mousey heart beat rapidly and her soul sung. Introducing her to all of the gems, the Matrixes, and all of the other formations he lead her to Emerald, Ruby, and Essper. She didn't know what to make of it... Holding her paw Mr. Penn told her," Listen very closely and you will be able to hear them too. It may take practice or it may come naturally, but you will hear them. They speak trough the life force." Making a come on motion with his paw, he signaled the group to say something. Emerald gathered his resolve and loudly said,"Welcome to our home." Wide eyed and bushy tailed the girl mouse shocked speechless. Finally took a breath and softly whispered, "Thank you glad to be here" nervously. Being the first time talking to a gemstone she felt a little bit accward but smiled a soft smile. Beaking down Mr. Penn asked, " Would you like to live here with me?" She nodded. "Would you then do me the honor of being my wife?" Ears blushing she nodded again and said, "Yes I would very much." At that all of the gems put all of their might into sparkling and shining with all of their might. That night the two mice snuggled into the mouse bed and dreamed blissful dreams of their future together.
