Heather's gift

Snow couldn't believe what she was seeing with her own eyes. A group of large trucks rolled in through the gate. It wasn't just one or two, but in total, ten large vehicles were filled to the brim with things that they needed. This seige for the past week wasn't easy on them, and she worried that the wall was going to fall a few times.

She thanked Heather for pulling through for her and watching her back. Just as always, Heather pushed and found ways to contact the headquarters and get a response. Even if it took a very long time, the supplies that came through were like a drop of heaven in this desert-like place.

Power walking over, Snow contacted the first person that she saw. A Male Player, who reminded her of an overstuffed peacock with the armor that he had on. He came over gallantly with a smile on his face.

"You are Snow, correct?" The Player spoke, he looked at her with excitement.

"Yes, and you are?" Snow stopped a bit away from him because if she got too close, she was worried that she would be hit by his flamboyant headdress that was filled with peacock feathers.

"Prince." Prince stuck out his hand to shake.

Snow looked at him and down to his hand. She then scratched her ears to make sure she did hear him right. "Prince?"

"Yes." Prince spoke, "my parents had some odd naming senses, but it's not too bad." He winked, which made Snow feel a bit uncomfortable.

"I'm glad you guys made it on time." Snow replied, trying to move the conversation forward.

"Yep, we would have made it yesterday, but we were attacked by a large group of Hellhounds. Wasn't cute, but we did okay." Prince spoke with glee. Prince continued to drone on and on.

Something caught Snow's eyes, it was an auburn hair, stuck up nose, and a pompous elegant lady who smells heavily of perfume. Instantly, she realized who it was: Lily. She was trailing behind the group on a tiger-like creature, which was her summon beast. She spat out a few arrogant words, which caused a group of grumbling voices, but they went into work.

Snow cursed heavily in her head when she saw the cause of her problem. Her fist scrunched up into a fist.

Lily jumped off her creature, looking around the area with disgust. She pulled out disinfectant spray, spraying all around her as if she was contaminated as she did the same around her creature. Every time she took a step forward, she sprayed around her as if she would catch some kind of contagious disease.

Her eyes scanned from side-to-side, eventually catching Snow's attention. They locked eyes.

Lily snorted, rolling her eyes. She then stared at Snow with disgust, looking at Snow as if she was some kind of insignificant bug. Walking over, hip-swaying to the point where Snow thought she would break a hip, she stuck up her nose as she stopped.

"I can't believe I was sent out here with you." Lily snapped, crossing her hand in front of her.

"You and me both." Snow spoke, without any reservation, she stormed up to Lily.

"They sent me to the front line! Can you believe that?" Lily spoke in a shrill. "I'm an important part of the Dragon Express society, they are trying to kill me."

Snow didn't listen to her rant, she punched her squarely in the face. "That is for that call."

Lily stumbled backward, shocked by what Snow had done. She then shouted, "you bitch!"

"Yea, I know. I am one. Deal with it." Snow sarcastically replied, rolling her eyes at her as she looked down at her with disgust. "I should say thank you for personally bringing the supplies, but honestly, I should throw you over the wall for trying to kill everybody. So."

Standing up straight, Snow turned around. "Be glad I didn't kill you. Stay out of my way Lily."

Snow thanked Heather for finding a way to contact the higher-ups. She had heard what Heather had done that got Lily in trouble, but what she did not expect was that the higher-ups would send her to the front line. She wanted to curse at the headquarters for sending her extra baggage that she didn't want to be dealt with.

"Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?!" Lily got up and stormed towards her with a blazing vengeance. She reached out her hands to pull on Snow's hair.

The tattoo on her face glowed, summoning up the helmet-like magic. It jammed Lily's finger on the helmet, which made her cry out in pain. A snort of laughter erupted out of Snow's mouth as Lily looked at her with complete disbelief. She didn't expect the helmet to react in time to stop her slap, which she was honestly grateful for.

Mostly because it was an item that was found on the black market that she secretly went too. She liked it that it gave her an extra helmet, claws, and a vicious tail.

Snow would use it every time she got without a second thought.

Her tails flicked around, grabbing Lily by the wrist. Lily was aiming to hit her back, but her tail moved before she could. Dangling up in the air, Lily screamed cursing at Snow for hanging her up in the air.

Players and Hunters came over curious about what was going on. Some of the others saw what had happened and just watched on the sideline.

"What's going on?" One of the players came over, elbowing her friend.

"Catfight." She replied.

"Ah," she shook her head in understanding.

"Don't even try." Snow turned around slowly, she looked Lily up in the air.

Lily was thrashing around, her face becoming red. Even her shoes fell onto the floor. She tried to kick her with the shoe but failed.

"When I get down, I'm going to kill you," Lily screamed, thrashing in the air.

"Yea. Yea. Whatever." Snow crossed her arms. Not caring about her tantrum. She didn't have time to entertain her outburst; she needed to go and figure out what they had brought over to help with this ongoing siege.

Dairen and Mike came over, looking at the strange display of Lily throwing a tantrum and Snow holding her up in the air.

They couldn't help but shake their heads at the outrage that Lily was giving as she always swore unladylike.

"If you don't get me down from here, I'm going to make sure I ruin your life!"

Snow gave her a most angelic smile. She didn't say anything for a moment, but the feeling of holy light seemed to glitter around her, giving off an oppressive atmosphere.

Lily went silent, looking at Snow for the first time with fear.

"Lily." Snow calmly replied. "I have no time for your shenanigans right now. Your problem is not my concern. I have to deal with a problem way more than your bull shit. So," She placed her down and brushed her shoulder.

"Be a good girl, and stay out of my way. Plus, I don't think you want your image to be ruined even more." Snow replied. Waving her hand in a big motion towards the crowd that was around them. She then turned around, leaving Lily in her place, stewing in her anger.

She could hear Lily shouting, "what are you looking at?"

Dairen and Mike ran up to Snow, catching up to her side.

"Quite a scene you have caused." Mike laughed, looking at her, amused.

"I cause no scene." Snow replied, looking over the paperwork that Prince had handed to her. He was looking at her with respect and awe at what he had just seen. "She's the one who started everything. I don't have time to babysit her."

She quickly flipped through the paper, calculating everything that was in place. Happy that the number of things that brought over made her feel relieved. Now, she was sure that they could stay here at least for another month before another large delivery was needed. She even noticed the large number of Hunters that could replenish the fallen comrades. A little bit of her worry lifted off her shoulder, allowing her to breathe a bit more.

"How is it?" Mike asked, curious about what she had.

"Good, probably even better." Snow replied without looking up. "We got over four hundred contracted Players and two hundred Hunters. Food, equipment, everything that we need." She then walked over to one of the ten trucks.

Placing her hand on the back of the truck, she pulled back the cover. A large black cube was uncovered.

"What is that?" Mike asked, looking around to get a better view of what it was.

A glimmer of excitement appeared on her face. She couldn't believe that the higher-ups had sent her one of the rare sacred items that the Dragon Express had. Not just anyone could use it, which made it that much difficult to use.

"A rare artifact." Snow spoke with a pleased expression. She handed the paper back to Prince.
