Ryzar (I)

(Snow's View)

Snow's eyes were finally clearing up. She heard the sound of the explosion as the debris and wind assailed her body. The blowback made her stumble, throwing her into a few loops.

The HilEyes took its chance, lunging forward with its sharp beak to impale her. It's beak and claws dangerously flashed around her in rapid succession. Her steps intricately moved in a flurry, keeping her one step ahead of her opponent.

Another strike aimed quickly towards her chest.

Snow shuffled out of the way, twirling towards its back. Her sword followed behind her in an arc as it completed its circle. The burning energy from her sword reinforced her sword as it cut through the HilEyes body in one fluid stroke.

She then blocked another and jab towards the exposed wings. The blunted edge of her sword slid across the back of the GilEyes beak, scraping against the hardened feathers that protected its body as she slapped the GilEyes back. At that moment, the GilEyes was once again exposed; she jumped in, taking advantage of her speed and might as she swung downwards.

The GilEyes scratched, impaled by the sword as it collapsed on the ground. Its beak gasped for a breath as its lung quickly filled up with blood. Pools of blood drizzled out of its opened wound, leaving behind another fallen body.

A painful screech from the Ryzar shook everyone's attention, making them temporarily stall. They glanced towards its direction. They noticed that part of its beak was missing, leaving it a bloody mess.

Snow saw a shimmer of blue energy around its body, shatter into pieces, exposing its body.

She ran towards the Ryzar. Close behind her, Rye, and Tommy burst through the crowd. Their weapons flashed before them as they attacked simultaneously together in a crisscrossed motion.

The Ryzar fluttered backward, its feet stumbling around, trying to find stability. Its eyes became crisscrossed, unable to see correctly from the blast and the sudden attack. A burst of powerful attacks littered its body, cutting around and leaving behind open wounds.

Each of them took advantage of its wounded state, dashing in and out to attract its attention.

With frustration, Ryzar screeched.

Snow flinched from the sharp sound as she broke away from contact. She had taken a large chunk off its leg, partially crippling it.

"Quickly! We need to hit it again while it's down!" Snow yelled, jumping in for another attack.

But before she could do another, its wings opened and flapped it viciously. A hurricane-like wind, momentarily blew Snow back, impeding her next attacks. She didn't expect the sudden drawback of its powerful wings that could disable her movement momentarily, leaving her temporarily open.

With great effort, her sword stabbed into the ground, keeping her stabilized. Until finally, Ryzar's beating wings slowed down, becoming more manageable to move.

Dairen, who was pushed to the back of the group, slowly but surely pushed his way forward. Each step, his magical energy erratically surrounded him in pure happiness. The black clouds of magic swooped down below, stabbing into the nearest dead HilEyes that Snow had killed.

Unholy screams of pain broke out from the HilEyes corpse as the dead rose up once again. This time, much more sinister than its predecessors, its feather were dyed black. It's green eerily eyes bowed to its master before turning around to take on its enemy.

Dairen didn't stop with one or two summons, he summoned up more and more as he continued forward, until he capped out to a hundred. It was enough to help push back the rising tide as they killed their brethren in a flurry of anguish and anger.

A strange sensation of relief bubbled in Snow's mind when she saw Dairen's dark summons crawling on the ground fighting against the monsters that wreaked havoc amongst the people.

The number of HilEye's Dairen could control with his necromancy was extraordinary as she had never seen so many skeletons and undead before, working in harmony.

Many Players encouragingly shouted with thanks as they grouped around the summoned skeletons, pushing back alongside them.

Ryzar stomped around a few times, crushing the skeletons on the ground. The screeching sound of the rollercoaster made it swivel its head towards Mike's group. Glaring at them with the intent to destroy their very existence.

Once again, the Ryzar attempted to attack the moving roller coaster. It's sharp beak slashed downwards to take out the rest of the remaining Players.

Suddenly, a swirling tower of a fire tornado burned with a raging inferno. The fire smashed into its body, burning it alive. But even still, it did not last long as it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.

A deep breath of relief escaped Snow's lips as she saw the roller coaster dodge out of harm's way, ending their third turn. She wondered if the ride was flawed the whole time as she had witnessed the tragic incident of her comrades that rode the first. To see their success, she riled up the other Players and even herself, telling her that they still had a chance.

Taking their success into heart, Snow dashed forward.

"Hurry!" Snow called to the rest of the group as she turned to attack once more.

The Ryzar shuddered, opening up its damaged beak to let out a breath of electricity.

Dead leaves crackled under Snow's feet. To not get electrocuted alive, magic swirled around Snow's hand and body. A soft but strong barrier quickly raised around herself, keeping her temporarily safe. But even still, she could feel her hair rise up.

Ryzar spat out more and more electric breath, keeping the Players away. The ground was charged, sparking off a few times as fire started to erupt around it because of the dead leaves that stay on the ground.

It's dangerous electricity, brushed against her barrier.

The Players held on as their own magical barrier appeared before them. The Players who were distracting the monsters rushed behind the shield for safety.

For a while, Ryzar's breath of electricity seemed to continue. Eventually, the spat of energy died down, allowing Snow to move forward.

Snow rolled her shoulders as she stood her ground unscathed, trying to work out the kinks in her neck that she had acquired from fighting Ryzar and the HilEyes at the same time.

As she shook off her tired muscles a few times, she stretched. A smile creased upon her lips. In surprise, she didn't know where the bubbling excitement had come from.

The Ryzar felt a shiver as it sensed danger. It kept its eyes on Snow, who yanked out her sword from the ground.

In a mocking voice, Snow shouted at Ryzar. "Is that the best you can do?"

From Snow's taunting words, Ryzar pulled back its head, ready to spit out whatever magical energy it had coughed up a moment ago.

Snow's magic swirled around her hands, sparking off a powerful buff spell that drizzled down onto the Players. "Blessing!"

She felt the magic seeping out of her body, but the energy that escaped from her body was only a third of her total magic. Ecstatic by the gift that Snow bestowed, the Players pushed fought even harder. They rallied together as magic was thrown at Ryzar, peppering its very body.

The increase in magical power rattled Ryzar. It flailed around, trying to take back control of its area.

It's mouth once again opened up to throw out another beam of electric energy.

"Get that bugger's mouth!" Tommy howled, running towards the side. His fist blazing with erratic fire. Pushing off the ground, he scaled upwards, punching Ryzar's beak.

A blast of electric shot sideways, arcing in a rainbow as it spat around, taking out a few legs holding up the rollercoaster.

Tommy landed with a loud thump, he grinned mischievously at his attack. Pleased with what he had done.

"You fool!" Tamaki kicked him on the side, "you just took out some of the supports!"

"Sorry. Sorry." Tommy's lips became thin, realizing his aim was a bit off.

"Come on, you're going with me." Tamaki grabbed Tommy, pulling him towards the next rollercoaster ride.

"Woah, Woah. Wait." Tommy pulled back his hand. "I don't like rollercoasters."

"Boo-hoo," Tamaki replied. "You need to correct your mistake."

"But-"

Tamaki didn't listen to his outburst as he ferried him away, "Snow, take care of the rest!"

Snow nodded, understanding what he wanted her to do.

This time, she didn't rush in to throw her sword around her. Instead, she focused on her magic. Snow didn't allow Ryzar to retaliate.

She tried to imagine how she could disable Ryzar enough to give the others a chance to throw in another fatal attack. So far, she could see the blue barrier around Ryzar, slowly but surely, reconstructing.

Already, the barrier around it was accelerating as it was halfway up, making any attack from the bottom, rendered useless.
