The Reflection (III)

Snow fumbled, unconsciously reaching out to grab the plant in the air. She missed as the vine disappeared.

Confused and curious, she wondered why the vine was so adamant about wanting to be at the Sacred Tree.

Suddenly, the ground wriggled.

Large vines shout out of the ground, wrapping themselves around the Sacred Tree. It grew rapidly, entwining in between the cracks of the trunk. Beautiful leaves blossomed as they climbed up until they finally reached the very tip of each branch.

The vines even extended out into the building's frame, entangling around, creating a canopy of hundreds of vines draped upon the branches and the metal pole. Small red colored flowers blossomed around them.

Snow was dazed at the explosive growth of the vines that wrapped around the Sacred Tree. It was a beautiful harmony as seconds went by. Then, she felt a powerful surge of light energy pulsating outwards, even stronger than before.

She noticed the dark energy that was trying to pervade into the area was being sucked into the vines themselves. It cleared away the congested darkness in the air. In return, the vines converted the energy, giving it to the Sacred Tree as food and allowing the light energy to explode in strength.

The radius of the sacred tree's power expanded further.

The slew of demons close to the sacred tree was obliterated, while the rest fell back as they couldn't get any closer. Even the strongest shudder in fear as they crawled back toward the City Hall, where the Demon King's power kept them alive.

Taking in a deep breath, a sense of peace started to well in Snow's heart. A bolster of

clear-mindedness cut through her mind, giving her a better understanding of what she must do.

"Wow. That's amazing. The whole air and the area changed, giving the area a purer feel." Mike walked over, staring at the tree. "What just happened?"

"I don't know, but the giant flower that came out from the SS class dungeon is helping the Sacred Tree power."

"I'm glad there is something good that has happened. Though, I think this should give us a chance to go take down Levian. We might only have this one chance."

"I agree. We should strike now." Snow replied. She didn't know how long this constant state of the surge of light energy would last.

Just before they decided to move out, the ground rumbled.

The mirage-like city over the city started to grow bigger in size. A thundering roar of wind and thunder started to swirl around, picking up speed.

Suddenly, a shot of black energy shot up from the city hall and into the very sky. The terrible ripping sound of the field between two worlds started, giving a terrible wail.

Flocks of demons flew into the air, covering the vast sky. It twirled around the black energy as they entered into the tear.

The demons from the ground all turned their attention toward the black energy and headed straight toward the beam of dark light. They rushed in, disappearing into nothingness and reappeared into Earth.

A full-out-scale battle between the citizens on Earth began, killing, destroying, and ravaging cities.

Players, who were back at home, were alarmed by the sudden appearance of the demons that appeared in their world. Finally, the only shimmering barrier of thought that this was just a game was shattered.

Death was apparent as thousands upon thousands of citizens were slain, the death count continually rising worldwide.

The players, who were still in Roservera, looked in horror. Then, finally, realizing that the world that they called home was being invaded.

A blink of blacklight entered into the very stream, disappearing as it entered into the world of Earth.

"We need to go, now!" Snow started to move. "Levian just entered into the stream. He's going to Earth. We need everyone to go now! I'll meet you at the city hall."

Mike understood. He bolted to gather the rest.

Dereck threw Snow a key. "Saintess! Take this!"

Snow grabbed the key in the air. "Thanks!"

"It's parked on the basement floor. My blue car is the Red Hovena!"

Snow rushed out. She headed straight toward the car that Dereck had told him. It didn't take her long to find where the car was. She quickly got in, rushing out into the road. She made her way through the City Hall.

There weren't many demons that tried to stop her. Instead, it was clear of any monsters. It wasn't until she was close to the very stream of black light where there were thousands of demons entering and disappearing into the dark light. Not only that, there was a heated battle between the undead and demons.

Dairen was awake, fighting against the hordes of demons. They were trying to keep his swarm of undead from entering.

Snow stopped her car; she hurriedly opened the door and exited. She rushed into battle as she pulled out White Gryphon. With one swing, a blast of light energy shimmered outward, destroying them.

"Snow?" Dairen turned around, glad to see reinforcements.

"Dairen, I'm glad to see you awake," said Snow.

"Me too. I thought I would be awake back at home, but it seems you pulled me back." Dairen smiled, beaming at her. "I'm glad to still remember you, Snow. Let's go kick Levian's ass and get this over with!"

Snow nodded her head. The force between Snow and Dairen amplified, cutting through the demon horde, getting closer and closer to black light.

The longer they fought, the Players and Hunters started to appear, assisting wherever they could.

Mike was able to bring the eternity of the Gold Phoenix guild. The other guilds around the city assisted as well, becoming a force of their own. Even the Vampire clan led by Mr. Rogers, the Hunters from Dragon Express, and Red Flower Nation appeared to assist.

Snow was glad to see that all the people that she knew were alive and well. The previous fight inside the SS dungeon had affected them in some way or another.

Just when they could push closer to the city hall, a powerful being appeared before them, blocking them from getting closer.

It was one of the thirteen Dark Society leaders. Dr. Umbrella. He stood straight, casting his gaze out before them with a gentleman's smile. He took off his hat and bowed.

"This is as far as you will go." Dr. Umbrella spoke with a smile. "Our Demon King has a task to finish."

Shadows appeared from Dr. Umbrella's shadows as numerous of the other twelve followers appeared to assist.

Mr. Rogers stepped forward. He smiled his usual big grin. Next to him was Red, who started to summon up magic in her hand. "Snow, go. We'll keep these guys busy."

"Are you sure?" Snow asked.

"Yes. My guys will keep these guys busy."

"Thanks!" Snow rushed off.

"Stop her." Dr. Umbrella spoke, pointing toward Snow.

The shadows started to move but were stopped by Red, Mr. Jay, Mr. Rogers, Rodney, Rye, Ego, Bluevera, Tommy, Tamaki, Audrey, Gilbert, and Mr. Everett. They each smashed into a full-out brawl, fighting with their lives on the line.

Mike, Snow, and Dairen rushed through, passing them as they headed straight into the City hall. But, unfortunately, the conflict between the demon and the people creates an opening for them to pass through.

The swell of dark energy became a wave of heavy air. Each time Snow breathed, her lungs burned. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. Even the temperature around the dark wave of lights was scolding hot, making her sweat.

Dairen, Mike, and Snow saw a familiar machine in the past memories of Kamilia and James that created a tear into the very fabric of space and time itself, bringing up different words. Somehow Levian had the same device that allowed him to cut through into Earth.

"I'll leave one of my summonses behind," Dairen spoke. He summoned one of the four generals, the turtle general, to stand before the machine. "We're going to have to sever the connection once we cut the connection between the worlds."

Mike nodded. "I expected as much. But, unfortunately, this also could be our last time being in this world. Are you sure you want to cross over, Snow?"

It didn't take long for Snow to answer. "Yes."

"Okay."

"You guys ready?" Snow asked; even though she didn't feel ready to save the world, she knew she couldn't stop here. It was all or nothing.

"No." Mike chuckled. "Levian kicked my ass pretty badly in the last fight, but I'm going in with you."

"I'm for sure ready to get my hands on him," Dairen replied. "I got a favor to give back after he killed me."

Snow chuckled. She was glad that Mike and Dairen were still willing to go and fight against Levian.

"Then let's go." Snow stepped into the dark light. A wave of energy wrapped around her, pulling her into the beam of light. It shoots her into a beam, blinding her in darkness.

With a thud, Snow appeared in the middle of the city, with waves of monsters rampaging amongst the city.

Standing with his hand crossed, on top of a building, Levian watched as the city burned.

Levian looked over his shoulder, realizing that Snow, Dairen, and Mike appeared before him to stop him.

"I'm not surprised that you are here." Levian grinned.
