Kunato Development

Chapter 31 — Kunato Development.

Mr. Alien held a very long lecture, teaching Sasaki new kinds of knowledge that she never learned before. It was also teaching with the intention to further develop her pre-existing knowledge.

Sasaki possessed outstanding wits and amazing creativity. Her intellect also reached the realm of genius, having already quickly learned several knowledge that would probably take centuries for Sidonia to discover themselves without Mr. Alien's help.

As a result, Mr. Alien couldn't help but admit that Sasaki was superior than itself when it comes to other areas.

Moreover, Sasaki aimed more than just learning from Mr. Alien. She also improvised and adapted what she learned into something much more suitable for humans.

It was an awe-inspiring achievement, Jason respected her for such a strong determination and will.

The only problem they encountered, however, was to actualised and use those precious knowledge into reality. There was also about the issue of the workers learning abilities.

They weren't as smart nor genius like Sasaki, causing them to digest Sasaki's adapted knowledge rather slowly. It was quite fast, but still not enough.

Sasaki thought the problem could be quickly solve if they create an artificial intelligence to help them. But it was very difficult to create a self-learning artificial intelligence.

There was about Yure's superhuman serum, but it wasn't complete yet.

The lecture lasted for ten hours with Sasaki listening attentively, learning a lot of things yet again.

Jason also listened to the lecture, wanting to expand his knowledge.

However, it would probably take some time for both of them to completely digest every information.

That's why the lecture was only held two or three times every week.

And Mr. Alien's lecture contained detailed explanations that were needed to slowly improve and solidly the foundation of their knowledge.

After the long lecture, Jason asked Sasaki about her progress. He soon learned that the modification of Rokurome, and the new two sub-system programs were also already completed, being implemented to all Guardian Knight's unit.

Jason was extremely glad, thinking Toha Heavily Industry were fast with their work as always.

A few days later, Jason decided it was finally time to visit Kunato Development. To be more accurate, he wanted to talk with Norio and Mozuku.

Jason wanted to explore what Ochiai left behind that the Kunato Family were guarding for over a century. They were responsible to seal aways all that remains from the mad scientist.

To put it in simple words, Kunato Family was like a gravekeeper.

...

Kunato Residence | 10:17 AM.

A large private land was occupied by the Kunato Family, making the land as their own residence.

Inside the land, a gigantic mansion castle was erected, looking archaic and fantastical.

It was currently morning, the artificial sky being clear and sunny.

"Such a big castle..." Jason muttered while slightly looking bewildered.

Although the mansion castle couldn't compare to a skyscraper, it was large and amazing nonetheless.

Jason found it to look gorgeous and fantastical at the same time. It looked like those ancient castles from middle age, but mixed with some modern touch.

He walked toward the entrance of the mansion, pressing the doorbell and intercom.

Beep!

"Hello, I'm Jason Star. Are Norio and Mozuku at home?"

"Ah, please wait a moment!"

A voice quickly responded, Jason found it quite familiar. He then finally remember it was Mozuku's voice.

The door soon opened, Norio and Mozuku coming out to greet him.

"Um, what can we do for you?" Norio asked curiously while leading Jason toward their mansion's living room.

Jason sat on the sofa along with them, finally stating his reason.

"I actually came here to continue my investigation about Ochiai. Can I access what your family has been sealing?"

Norio rubbed his chin, slowly pondering over it.

However, Mozuku quickly answered in his stead.

"I'm very sorry, but we can't allow that. It's forbidden to access the things that are sealed away," Mozuku said while looking apologetic towards him. "We haven't even accessed those things yet ever since our family started guarding over it."

Jason was expecting to receive this kind of reply, but still felt disappointed.

"No, I think it's about time we unseal it," Norio suddenly said after making his decision, startling both of them.

"Big brother! What are you saying!" Mozuku wore a shocked expression. "It'll be the end of Kunato Family if someone founds out that we unsealed it!"

Jason then raised his hand to say something about their situation.

"What is it...?" Mozuku asked helplessly.

"I don't bear any bad or rude meanings, but due to Toha Heavy Industry recent unprecedented rise, I think the Kunato Family will inevitably fall—even if not now, it will still eventually occur in the future. The only duty left for Kunato Family now is to be a gravekeeper."

Jason's blunt and cruel remarks causes both of them to fall silent, rendered speechless without being able to refute.

However, it was indeed the reality's harsh truth, making them feel sorrowful and slightly depressed.

"..!" Jason felt somehow guilty, but then remembered about one of his plans that crossed his mind a long time ago.

"Instead of feeling down about It, how about we think of a good solution?" Jason proposed, attracting their interest.

"Let's make a plan that will benefit your side and another party. However, I will also need to gain access for what I mentioned before."

Norio and Mozuku nodded their heads, looking very interested.

"Please tell us about it."

Jason simply smiled.

"My plan is very simple. What I want is for Kunato Development and Toha Heavy Industry to merge with each other. An eternal contract will suffice. I'm sure it will be easy for the heir Norio to eventually succeed as the next leader and gain the approvals of the company's board who will become extremely desperate watching Kunato Development slowly becoming obsolete. After merging with Toha Heavy Industry, your side will get to learn many unknown advance technological knowledge, thereby gaining various benefits while also escaping from crumbling apart. At this rate, if Kunato Development collapse just like that, it would waste many unique talents and abilities."

"We understand..." Norio and Mozuku nodded their heads, thinking it sounded quite reasonable.

Although Kunato Development would end up merging with Toha Heavy Industry, learning their several new technologies served as a very excellent trade.

Kunato Development had long since tried to secretly imitate and learn the technological knowledge behind the Guardian Knight, but made not a single progress. It felt impossible to decipher and study the new foreign technologies which felt alien to them.

Still, there were still many problematic things they needed to deal with.

"However, it will be pretty difficult to accomplish the plan..." Norio answered while not feeling that confident.

"That's why we need to plan and tread across carefully. It's something we will need time and patience to accomplish," Jason reassured him with a smile. "Besides, I think the offers are enticing enough to bait them."

"Okay, I'll try my best," Norio nodded, but then thought about something.

"There's a problem though. Many people from the Kunato Development will not like to use the name of Toha Heavy Industry. Using Kunato Development is also not a very good idea. Having two different names will just cause disharmony... How should we deal with this problem?"

Indeed, they would feel humiliated.

Jason rubbed his chin, pondering on how to solve it.

"How about just creating a brand new company name?"

Mozuku's eyes lit up brightly.

"That sounds great, but will Toha Heavy Industry even allow this kind of plan?"

Jason thought about Sasaki, thinking there was a fifty-fifty chances. It was a beneficial plan that will increase essential talents and manpower, but changing the name might be a problem.

"I don't know yet... I will consult about this matter with Sasaki later on."

Jason hoped Sasaki wouldn't mind it that much, and not see his proposal as something rude.

He thought thought about the name of the merged company if it ever goes successful.

Big Star Company?

Umbrella Hope Corporation?

It was futile to think about it now...

"Anyway, will you guys allow me to access 'it'?" Jason asked with pleading eyes.

Norio and Mozuku smiled helplessly, now answering with acceptance.

"I guess we have no choice. Its fine as long as no person see us opening it."

"Ah, thank you!" Jason thanked them sincerely, thinking his visit was successful.

"Can I also go with you? I'm actually also curious about what's we're guarding for centuries," Norio asked.

"Of course, It's your property after all," Jason didn't minded bringing someone.

"Eh? Then me too! I'll accompany you guys!" Mozuku panicked, not wanting to be left out of the fun.

This earned her some chuckles from the two men.

The three of them soon went toward Ochiai's private laboratory, unexpectedly encountering something.
