Ochiai's Laboratory
Chapter 32 — Ochiai's Laboratory.
At the long dark corridor, three people could be seen walking toward a sealed hatch ahead of them.
"So this is what your family were guarding for pver a century..." Jason muttered while observing the steel hatch which was plastered with a warning sign, warning them about not opening the restricted door.
"Yes, this is also something not even once opened ever since our family started guarding it. As a result, I don't know much," Mozuku answered while looking slightly interested.
"Hmm, I see..." Jason touched the warning sign before immediately removing it. "There...! it's no longer a restricted area.
"..." The siblings were now looking at him very weirdly.
Jason awkwardly smile.
"Just a joke..."
His response made them to chortle a little.
"So how do we open this hatch?" Jason questioned, but his eyes soon spotted upon a spiral-shaped keyhole.
"Do you guys have the key?"
"I already took it with me," Kunato answered, taking something out from his pocket. It was a small key that seemed to perfectly fit the keyhole.
He then inserted the key, Mozuku watching his hands quite nervously.
After all, they were about to open the door that might risk their family. Furthermore, there might be something dangerous inside!
Jason noticed her dropping mood, and calmed her down.
"Don't worry... If something unexpected and dangerous occur,. I'll take full responsibility and protect both of you."
"Mmn," Mozuku nodded while mysteriously feeling more calmer.
Kunato soon revolved the key, causing the sealed hatch's safety lock to get disabled.
"The hatch has been unlocked, but we will need to combine our full strengths in order to open it," Mozuku soon said.
Jason shook his head. "I can do it by myself since I'm quite strong..." He then soon opened the large steel hatch by just using one hand easily.
The siblings widened their mouth, finally witnessing the power of superhuman with their very own eyes...
They soon walked toward the now opened hatch, and entered inside a darkly lit room.
"The lights won't work," Mozuku informed them after checking the switchboard.
Jason looked around, his evolved eyes now being able to see clearly within the dark room, as if it was just some regular bright room.
The room was also filled with several weird stuffs like broken incomplete dolls, disgusting glass tubes, and many more stuffs. The most important thing that captured Jason's attention, however, were the many brimly filled bookshelves that contained every ideas, theories, and experiments of Ochiai!
"What is this place?" Kunato looked around while looking puzzled.
"It seems to be some kind of private laboratory that belongs to Ochiai..." Mozuku said before spotting many cacti over the shelves.
She examined closely, finding those cacti very strange as there were no thorns which was kinda odd.
While observing around, Jason suddenly narrowed his eyes, feeling hostility directed toward Mozuku.
He quickly bolted toward her, shouting with a low growl. "Don't move, Mozuku!" He quickly neared and hugged her upper body with his one arm, his other arm extending ahead of him.
Swoosh!
A single doll flew toward him, its limbs made to resemble a sharp blade.
Jason's hand formed tightly into a fist, smashing toward the doll who blocked with its blade-like limbs.
Bang!
Shatter!
The doll was directly shattered into pieces after meeting Jason's fist, falling pathetically to the ground.
It didn't expected for Jason to possess such a formidable strength that beyond the limits of normal human.
"W-What!?" Mozuku was quite embarrassed after being suddenly hugged by Jason. Her face was red, not even realizing that she almost died.
Jason's eyes narrowed again, growing sharper and colder.
Danger!
"Norio, quickly huddle up with us! Hurry!"
Norio was surprised upon seeing the hideous looking doll on the ground, but he quickly retreated toward Jason.
He also realized that something was strange inside the room.
Bang!
The hatch suddenly closed very tightly, the room descending into a veil of pitch-black darkness.
"Kyahh!" Mozuku trembled nervously as she held Jason's sleeves tightly.
"Don't fret..." Jason reassured her while rubbing her head. "I will protect you and your brother."
Mozuku nodded her head, seeing Norio's faint silhouette behind them.
Jason looked around cautiously, quickly seeing another doll approaching them at a very fast speed. Compared to before, this doll appeared different as it looked more incomplete and deformed.
However, that speed... It was almost comparable to a superhuman!
—Demonic Force Gauntlet!
Jason's left arm was swallowed by a thick blanket of black red particles, aligning itself into a lattice structure.
A black gauntlet with a savage and demonic appearance was born... It looked more intricate and very detailed compared to before, showing the precise and efficient control granted by his circuits.
Jason didn't have to worry about the siblings seeing his unnatural gauntlet. The room was entirely pitch-black, making it very hard to notice as the black gauntlet blended with the surroundings.
Bang!
He swung his fist toward the doll, immediately shattering it into fine pieces. The doll wasn't even able to avoid as his fist was not only strong, but also fast.
All around their direction, Jason felt more enemies coming toward them.
The various incomplete dolls he saw earlier coming to life.
Jason then realized they weren't aiming for him, but the two fellas behind him.
I won't allow you! Jason swung his demonic arm, a very long and thin black sword quickly condensing within his grasp. It blended with the dark surrounding, almost invisible to the naked eyes.

The power and effectiveness were much more higher when used with his real physical body—the black sword transforming into countless fine strands of sword flashes, stabbing into every single evil dolls charging toward them.
The siblings couldn't actually clearly see what was happening, but they could hear a lot of commotions happening around them. They searched their waist for a flashlight, but couldn't see their utility belts. It made them feel nervous.
However, they were sure that Jason was protecting them, allowing their tense nerves to gradually relax.

Stab!

Jason's attack grew faster and stronger with every stab of his sword. He stabbed deeply into their body, causing them to get quickly destroyed.
And soon, all of the dolls were completely destroyed without being able to put any real fight.
Jason took out his flashlight from his own utility belt, quickly opening it to allow some light to illuminate the room.
Norio and Muzoko both sighed in relieved after a brilliant light finally appeared within the dark room.
However, the moment they saw the fine particles left from the destroyed dolls, they were immediately stunned.
The siblings looked toward Jason who quickly proceeded to put his finger over his lips, smiling thinly.
They realized Jason wanted to keep it a secret for now.
Jason went to open the door, finding out It was just closed by the dolls. He could have definitely immediately detect them after they awakened with his evolved senses, but he wasn't really relying on his evolved senses that much during his ordinary daily life. It was frankly quite frustrating and annoying to always use his evolved senses to their full power, but it was fortunate that he was able to lower it.
Jason then felt his situation must be quite similar to how Saiki Kusuo felt with his daily life.
Trust him, having evolved senses wasn't a great experience.
At best, Jason would only use his evolved senses during real-life piloting. While training with his martial arts and living his daily life, he liked to limit himself to the normal level.
Jason, Mozuku, Norio continued to look around the laboratory after finding out that there were no longer dangers.
They found out many interesting things during their search, but there were also things that caused them to cringe in absolute disgust.
Jason also managed to find many personally written books of Ochiai about cybernetics and artificial intelligence, making him think that Ochiai was also proficient with other things other than his Bio-Technology.
He then found out more about Ochiai while reading his books. It seems that Ochiai was already working on creating nanobots for the medical field, but just managed to reach a satisfactory level. He also aimed to develop nanobots for combat purposes, but eventually gave up due to how complex it was to fully research. From then on, he fully devoted himself to researching Gauna Bio-Technology with the plan to surpass the limit of human weak body. The Gravitational Beam Emitter was one of the results born from his research of the Gauna Bio-Technology.
Jason sighed deeply.
He thought that if Ochiai just took it more steadily and slowly, he wouldn't have been known as the Mad Scientist. However, Jason couldn't exactly blame Ochiai. The situation back then at the past was dangerous, forcing him to rely on researching the Gauna Race which provided him with a much more faster progress.
It was all for Sidonia's survival, but he became the monster itself in the end.
And Jason wasn't honestly perfect... He was just a fool man who's also a hypocrite and a cowardly liar. He wore a mask of deceptions and tricks just to get accepted. He couldn't help but think his life within Sidonia was nothing but lies—he was guilty, but was afraid to tell the truth.
Jason went to observe the mysterious glass tubes placed on the table, seeing there were parasites within it.
His senses felt something strange about it.
And seeing those disgusting parasites, Jason was reminded of the mechanical parasite within him.
Perhaps Mr. Alien also looked as ugly and hideous as these parasites.
⟨ ( •́ ‿ ,•̀)... ⟩
Jason grabbed the glass tube with a parasite to closely observe it, but then the cover flew away, the reddish spider-like parasite crawling across his arms.
He had already thought something like this would happen, but it still made him feel the creeps and disgust. His skin developed goosebumps.
Jason quickly captured the parasite using his particles without actually touching the disgusting fellow.
"What is this?"
⟨ Host, I assume that this parasite is an artificial parasite created through the use of high-level Bio-Technology. And the function is most likely about carrying a copy of a person's personality and memories. ⟩
Jason immediately realized something crucial.
"Then..."
⟨ You're indeed correct. This parasite contains the memories and personality of Ochiai. It must have wanted to control you earlier by entering your body. ⟩
"I see, how horrifying..." Jason then stared at the bloody parasite, causing it to flinch uncontrollably. He guessed this thing was Ochiai's failsafe plan. As expected, people with the background setting of a genius mad scientist won't go down that easily without at least preparing many failsafe plans ahead of time.
Jason stared Intently into the parasite who was trying to resist fiercely.
"You're Ochiai, right? Or am I somehow wrong about that, huh?" Jason asked while smiling thinly, causing the blood parasite to tremble violently.
It seemed very shocked to learn that Jason knew about its identity.
"I'm sorry, but there's a very bad news for you..." Jason looked sorrowful. "You have just woken from a long, long slumber, but unfortunately, it seems like you will once again fall into a slumber... For eternity, that is."
The blood parasite tried to resist, but couldn't escape from the confines of the particles. It was shocked to the core, not knowing how Jason was able to control Higgs Particle!
Even for the people of Sidonia, it was certified as impossible! It means Jason wasn't from Sidonia...
Then who was he?
And where did he came from?
"If you're that so curious, then I will properly introduce myself before you sleep," Jason said as if reading the parasite's mind.
"My name is Jason Star, please remember it very carefully."
The particles immediately surged, crushing the blood parasite into pieces along with the parasite's own dripping crimson blood.
Before dying, Ochiai heard Jason making an oath solemnly.
"I'll certainly make good use of your accumulated knowledge for the greater good of humanity."
