Chapter 59 — Battle
In space, two figures were staring at each other with their current distance being kilometers apart. There was nothing around them, only them facing each other silently.
Jason looked at the space behind Ryooume, knowing that Ocarina was situated far away in the distance. It was confirmed by the camera image they received from the command bridge.
But he couldn't just casually go there with Ryooume blocking the path. If he forcefully went through, it would just chase after him persistently.
Ryooume appeared much smaller than before, but it still had hundreds of bat wings and thousands of scale-like evil eyes.
And from the analysis provided by the improved sensors, Jason saw the placenta body of Ryooume alternating between husk-like layers and normal placenta layers that vibrates.
Rokurome bravely stood before the large Ryooume, its head slightly raised with its two katanas hanging down relaxedly.

Soon, its eyes shone with a streak of menacing light, managing to appear in front of Ryooume.
But Ryooume's eyes closed, countless placenta spikes suddenly sprouting from its body as a defense measure.
The energy gems lit up, shooting large beam cannons that were concentrated to the limit. It struck the spikes, quickly incinerating a part of it.
Black smokes spread, but Rokurome continued despite the lack of vision. Its back unit transformed, a large and long nozzle extending from it.
It aimed forward, slowly gathering with energy to shoot.
The new prototype weapon, the Intense Lightwave Cannon.
As it gathered energy from its two reactors and converter storage, Rokurome flew out from the black smoke, finally arriving close to the large body of Ryooume.
As such, large amounts of thick and long placenta arms sprouted from Ryooume's body. The placenta arms were thicker and rougher than normal.
Rokurome placed the katanas away, and switched to the Spray Gun and Rapid Fire Rifle.
Jason decided to fly around to avoid the placenta arms. He stalled time for his new weapon to gather energy. As such, he started to shoot relentlessly with the two guns to destroy the incoming swarms of placenta arms.
Ryooume chased after him persistently. It was very determined to devour them.
There were dozens and dozens of placenta arms that were not only fast, but also came in many different shapes and sizes. Such as small, thin, large, and colossal.
And all of it came toward Jason from every direction.
As a result, Jason had to pay more attention to his surroundings.

But that was part of Jason's plan. He controlled Rokurome to enter the hole left by the beam it fired, but before he could enter it, a placenta arm that looked like several smaller placenta arms weaved together to form a strand, suddenly slammed against Rokurome.

"It talked?" Jason was surprised to hear Ryooume talking with wisdom, but he acted calm. He didn't reply, but stayed completely silent.

Jason still remained silent.
"As expected, your very existence disgusts me. It awakened my Wrath!" It said with its single eye becoming mad.

It didn't know why it felt extremely furious toward Jason. It didn't feel like this at first, but upon meeting him, something awakened within it.
A desire that made it feel angry about something with Jason.
Rokurome and Ryooume faced each other intently. One very wrathful. One very calm.
They circled around each other without lowering their guards, taking careful steps as their senses heightened alertly.
Rokurome firmly held the two katanas, while Ryooume took a stance with its scythes.
The atmosphere became tense, as the only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of breathings, the heartbeats, the subtle movements, the humming of thrusters, and the clash of wrath and calmness.
This tense moment lasted for a while to slowly reach its peak, before suddenly, it all erupted in a single instant.

The faint sounds of breathings, the heartbeats, the subtle movements, and the humming of thrusters came into abrupt halt, and entirely replaced by the clear sounds of two raging and calm silhouettes crashing against each other.
Jason felt his blood boiling, his mind reaching perfect tranquility, and his senses unfurling widely, as he concentrated everything into Rokurome.
His eyes blazed like a madman who was overflowing with calmness and concentration.

A thick crimson lightning wrapped around Rokurome, entering parasitism to undo all limits.
He didn't want to use it at first. He wasn't still fine with Gluttony, but he had no other choice.
The current Ryooume was far superior than Rokurome in every aspects. It exceeded it.

"Those powers of yours! It makes me go wrathful!"
Ryooume swung it scythe down, Jason blocking it swiftly using the katana.

Rokurome trembled upon the impact, feeling the heaviness behind the attack of Ryooume.
But Rokurome strongly slashed with the other katana, continuously switching when attacking.

In just several seconds, they exchanged blows dozens of times. Their attacks were fierce and intense, not intending to even stop.

"O' God Emperor, pardon this foolish one for my wrath," Ryooume said fearfully as a cold blade soon pierced its chest.

From its spot, a throbbing crimson heart was silently floating.
The cockpit of the war torn Rokurome slowly opened. A scalding steam released from inside it.
From it, Jason crawled out with his entire skin being red. Yet, it couldn't hide his pale and bloodied face.
He neared the heart before grabbing it with his hand.
He used a lot of life force and needed to refill quickly.
Jason slowly absorbed the heart, feeling his condition becoming better. His throbbing head calmed down as an irresistible desire rose from his heart.
Gluttony was rapidly being satisfied by absorbing the heart of its own kind.
Jason finally found the way to make it completely satisfied.
He soon completely absorbed the heart, making his way inside the cockpit.
As he sat there, he suddenly heard an urgent call from the command bridge.
