Sidonia | Command Bridge.
The people in the command bridge were observing the battlefield. Yuhata watched the situation intently while giving occasional orders.
They observed the entire operation, from the initial shooting formation, to the ten pilots fighting the Knight-Type Gaunas, and then Ryooume fighting Ryooume.
The scene where Ryooume started to talk intelligently gave them the most shock of their life.
This was the first time they witnessed a Gauna being able to communicate.
However, despite being alert most of the time, they didn't manage to detect the charging process of Ocarina. It was not until its charging process was too extreme that they managed to detect it with their sensors, but it was already too late.
They became desperate as they saw it launched towards them, but they couldn't do anything other than to pray for a miracle to happen.
The other people who had the authority to watch the battle operation also prayed for a miracle.
Kobayashi didn't show any fear despite all of that.
She didn't pray for a miracle as she knew that God didn't exist.
It was up to mankind themselves to create their own miracles.

As the new system activated, Jason felt his entire circuits spreading out from within his body, quickly linking with the silver thread tissues of Rokurome.
The linking of his circuits and the silver thread tissues formed nerve cables that connected Jason and Rokurome, allowing the former to perfectly receive the latter's sensation. Both of their senses linked perfectly.
"ARGHHHH!"
Jason screamed out from the bottom of his lungs, the pain that Rokurome was currently feeling being perfectly shared with himself. It felt painful to bear the pain of Rokurome that was riddled with large damages and the micro-tears from parasitism.
Yet, he pushed the controls, Rokurome flying forward to catch after the colossal red beam. It desperately pushed its speed to the highest, but it was simply too far to catch up.
Jason's Evol Reactor and the two particle reactors performed particle generation in perfect sync with each other, making the particle output much greater than twin reactor synchronization. Instead of squared, it was now cubed. No, the particle generation was even more than that due to Jason's Evol Reactor having evolved once again after consuming the Dragon's Heart. It improved significantly in every aspect, as well as further evolving Jason's body.
Now, his body was temporarily released from the safety seals, completely freeing his body to its strongest state.
Also, the particles generated from the synchronized three reactors began to overflow the body of Rokurome. In the empty space, it flew like a crimson meteor that constantly moved forward without stopping, soon nearing the battlefield of the pilots and Gaunas, but the giant beam already went past them.
"Not enough!" Jason activated the hidden powers within his Evol Reactor.

His Evol Reactor began to spin faster and faster, absorbing the surrounding particles like a hungry beast to provide more energy. At the same time, like a wrathful fiend, it caused the energy to become extremely berserk and tyrannical.

It formed energy barriers, but Jason forcefully used his evolved ability to make the barriers to form large wings by using the overflowing amount of particles and crimson lightning that strained Rokurome to the point of breaking apart.
As a prototype, it really consumed a lot of particles to maintain. It was the perfect solution for the overflowing particles. For its overheating problem, Jason started to use his ability to the best to prevent it from exploding.
As the wings formed, Rokurome's speed also increased by several times, and it continued to accelerate even further.
Rokurome constantly vanished and reappeared as it flew in a straight line, soon managing to pass through the pilots who were horrified to see the beam heading towards Sidonia.
Jason reached 150x acceleration, causing him to feel the time halting, moving in an incredibly slow motion, only his rough and unstable breathings resounding in his ears.

Rokurome grew another pair of wings, now moving extremely fast, to the point of teleporting across the very fabric of space-time, skipping across the void of nothingness.
Jason could see that they were closing the distance with the beam, allowing him to closer see it with his own eyes, heading toward Sidonia that gradually came into view.
"MORE FASTER!" Jason roared loudly.
His two eyes were now completely crimson, his pupils now turning slit, but it still continued to glow with golden light.
Gluttony•Wrath activated to their limits, providing more speed for Rokurome, causing its wings to expand largely as the thrusters released a burst of explosive light.
Rokurome reached the speed of light, soon coming neck to neck with the gigantic beam as it neared Sidonia.
"ROKUROME!!!"
More, they needed more speed! To save Sidonia!
BOOOOM!
SWOOSH!
Rokurome's eyes shone brightly with a streak of crimson light, its body cracking apart as it exploded forward for the last time.
It reached beyond the speed of light!
Rokurome flew in front of the path of the gigantic red beam, its colossal wings wrapping around its body, forming an extremely large shield of light.
BOOOM!
A brilliant explosion occurred, resounding throughout space after the gigantic red beam struck the barrier. It pushed forward, but Rokurome held the barrier desperately without backing down, its external armor already crumbling down as its limbs slowly cracked.
Jason felt all of the pain it felt, knowing how much it suffered, but they both gritted their teeth and endured until the very end.
"AHHHHH!!" Rokurome let out a beastly howl as it pumped out a hot steam from its mouth, its face crumbling away, but its eyes didn't stop shining brightly.
As long as it could move its body, it wouldn't fall down!
The brilliant reached the peak, now resembling a brilliant star itself.
The beam soon started to lose strength, while the wings of light continued to shine brightly.
As the red beam dissipated, the wings of light folded back, gradually receding back as Rokurome finally lost all of its embers.
With a broken and damaged body that was riddled with cracks, it floated in space silently.

The command bridge fell silent, feeling complicated emotions brewing within them.
The people and pilots watching were also silent.

They felt happy to see Sidonia being safe!
The pilots wanted to cheer for Jason saving Sidonia, but they needed to take care of the remaining Gaunas.
The command bridge immediately tried to contact Jason.
However, they were met with silence.
"What is Pilot Jason's current condition…?" Yuhata asked worriedly.
"Unknown… For some reason, the equipment monitoring his vitals has been broken from intense heat…"
With Jason's condition unknown, they began to worry. Especially, looking at Rokurome's state, which was even worse than in the past.
"Have someone to quickly retrieve Pilot Jason and his unit, Rokurome. This is the utmost priority," Kobayashi quickly said.
"Roger!"

"Due to the beam launched by Ocarina, most of the Gaunas were destroyed. It is only a matter of time before we completely annihilate them."
