Sand Tournament

The King of Scorpion clan Spar had announced a special tournament for 15-year-olds and under, anybody could join and only the top 3 performers would be able to win some prizes in this tournament. 

The whole territory was excited as everybody started signing up their kids up for this tournament. Most were complaining about how 15 was too high of age and those that were under 15 would have a disadvantage but Spar didn't pay them any attention as he stuck to his word. 

The next day there was a huge stage set up as they wanted to start the tournament off right. They had a few fireworks made out of the sand with different colors which amazed Drazon and his big sister Issa. Queen Sassy rolled her eyes as Spar put his thumbs up indicating that he had done a good job. 

Surprisingly only 20 people had signed up for these tournaments as the others thought it wasn't fair to have their little kids getting beaten up by the older kids so it was only 14-year-olds and 15-year-olds that were in this tournament, as the others were lower level one and level twos. 

There was only one kid that was almost a level three and he was known as the best kid around town with the most potential and talents and he was only 14, but everybody was shocked to see a dragon clan member part of the tournament. They thought this Dragon looked a little young and when they announced his age as 11 everybody was shocked. 

They thought how he was supposed to be fighting against 14-year-old and 15-year-old fighters and felt a little sorry for him. Drazon was used to being the center of attention so when he stepped on stage it wasn't anything special but it surprised him when it was just quiet and he wasn't getting booed. 

When his opponent stepped on stage they started cheering as it was one of their own scorpions. This was a 15-year-old kid that was only a lvl 2 so he was no match for Drazon, he charged towards Drazon with his fist. He was too young to know how to spit out his poison from the stinger efficiently so all he could do was physical attacks and send sand attacks. 

He shot out little sand attacks that looked like bullets which Drazon easily dodged them by sidestepping the attack and then disappearing from the view of the kid. The kid looked around searching for him but all he received was total darkness as he fell unconscious next minute. 

The crowd was surprised that Drazon easily knocked him out without even attempting or trying at all. The crowd was so amazed by his prowess that they started admiring him. The scorpion clan respected strength didn't matter where you from as long as you are strong they will support you.  

They started cheering for the surprising Drazon who wasn't used to that. Queen Sassy smiled as she was happy for Drazon being recognized this time and not boo whenever he got on stage like what they did to him back in the dragon clan.

The next matches were uneventful, the 14-year-old kid was blasting through the heads of the 15-year-olds scorpions which earned him a lot of fans as they called him a dark horse. His name was Sim and there was another one that was just as strong and she was a female almost level three, her name was Dory. 

Dory was also slowly climbing up the ladder. Queen Sassy went to sit next to Spar as she told him that they should rearrange the rankings to have those three facing off against each other in the finals because she feels like it's just going to be those three that will be too anyways. 

Spar called his assistant to rearrange the competition. The match went on as Drazon had a second match and this time it was against a female scorpion as he surely tried to avoid her hurting her causing Spar to frown as he asked Sassy "why does he fear females' '? 

Queen Sassy laughed and said, "no he's just shy and he's been raised by females all his life so he does not want to hurt them". Spar laughed as he said," that's quite a weak trait". The Queen frowned and said,"  that's why you lost to my husband because you don't have that weak trait". 

Spar started laughing as he said, "well I'm still alive aren't I?" Queen Sassy said nothing more as the battles continued. Drazon was simply dodging all of her attacks and purposely went to the edge of the stage as she charged towards him. 

She threw a punch at him which Drazon caught and flipped her off the stage given Drazon the win as he moved on to the next round. Spar asked Queen Sassy whether she knew about the owl fest that was coming up soon. Queen Sassy had completely forgotten it as so much hàd happened. 

The owls were the wisest and advanced creatures in that world and once in a while, they held a huge survival tournament that gave out great prizes to the top performers. Queen Sassy said "oh I'm definitely signing Drazon up for it, I know they have it every 20 to 30 years and I remember when my oldest daughter had participated in it and had gotten top five and that's when the Dragon King started to train with her. 

King Spar nodded as he said "yes I remember that quite well too as my son was top 10 and was beaten black and blue by your daughter" this caused Queen Sassy to chuckle a little. Spar said "but this time the competition is going to be a little tougher and the age limit is still the same 25-year-olds and below, I believe everybody that will be participating in it would be borderline level 3 to level 4, I can't wait to see the bloodshed" 

Queen Sassy shook her head as she said:" During my time I had also participated but I definitely wasn't number one, those guys in the other territories train night and day and they were complete beasts". 

There's been one creature that has always been number one even though the Dragon clan has been number one a few times but these creatures had earned it almost every time causing the Scorpion King to shiver as he remembered the clan that nobody messes with and this clan had the backer of the owl clan so they worked hand-in-hand together in order to advance while the others stayed stagnant and the same.
