Robbie's Dad's POV

"I see, and where is he now?" I asked, playing with the photo in my hand.

"Right now, he is with that 'colleague' and has yet to leave his place" the woman on the other end replied.

"He might end up crashing there but wait for another hour. If he doesn't leave, you are relieved of your duty" I said, sighing, as my eyes fixed on the man in the photo

"What if he leaves?" the woman asked

"Amanda, do you need me to give you instructions word by word?" I asked with irritation, then hung up on her.

Amanda was Stephen's assistant. She was, however, an ambitious lady. She sneakily made a deal with me too. Now working for both of us and earning twice her compensation. She is generally very smart but today she was acting stupid. I leaned back on my office chair, and looked at the picture of the man my son is chasing again. It made me wonder what exactly he saw in him, or if he was always so bad at choosing. This Tony was so bland that I felt Rogers was more attractive. He had nothing whatsoever that can attract a person's attention. It seemed as though his only skill was cooking, he only had a few close friends, he had no lover, and the only thing he seemed to be passionate about was his son. Even his looks were very average except for his almond eyes. What could my son possibly see in him?

After all the researches done by Rogers, we know that he came here long back as a teen with his son and worked several part times before entering our hotel chain. His Alpha and the father of the child is unknown. Did he get r*ped by a classmate but still kept the child? It is very uncommon among Omegas but sometimes when their partners leave them, they find solace in the company of their kids and especially in the case of r*pe where they got bonded by mistake. Though there was no certainty of his bonding. Even so, it does not explain why my son would find an attraction to such a bland Omega guy with a kid.

"Uncle!!" I heard a girl's voice from the doorway

I was sitting at my work table facing the wall. On hearing her, I turned and saw it was Sarah. She looked furious. She was glaring at me. I wonder how she entered my study room straight off? What were the servants doing? No one even informed me of her arrival

"Welcome, Sarah! It looks like you had quite a rough encounter with my son?" I greeted her casually.

She stomped to my table and banged both her hands on it. Locks of her messy hair fell on her face. Her pretty face was twisted in anger and pain. There were tear tracks made from her mascara. I was quite shocked to see her in such a disheveled state.

"What did Robbie told you to make you so upset?" I asked her in a colorless voice.

"Please stop! How long are you going to lie? Robbie told me everything!" she almost yelled.

My surprise wasn't even registered when I heard a set of quick steps approaching my door and just a second later saw Rogers' face emerge in the doorway. He came in front of the table with hurried steps,

"I am extremely sorry sir! I went for dinner and didn't see Miss Sarah coming. I apologize for my dereliction of duty" he said bowing to me apologetically, "Should I escort Miss out of the door?" he asked, formally

"I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE TILL I GET MY ANSWERS" Sarah suddenly burst out.

"Rogers it's ok. You may leave. I and Sarah have something to talk about" I said dismissing Rogers who bowed formally and walked out of the door.

Once he left and closed the door behind, I looked at Sarah. I saw her huffing and an angry tear flowing out of her eyes,

"Have a seat dear-"

"NO! First, answer me, why did you deceive me? WHY??" she interjected furiously

I entwined my fingers and looked at her calmly, "I will talk to you once you take your seat"

She remained standing glaring at me. This girl was definitely raised in a pampered atmosphere. It is not unusual for her to order people around and see them follow heedlessly. However, I have been in business for 30 years already and have commanded large numbers under me. I don't take orders, and especially not from this naive little girl.

After a long while, he begrudgingly took her seat. I handed her a glass of water, which she downed in one go despite her reluctance to take it. I smiled. That's more like it. I don't like disobedience but some rebellions are 'cute'.

"Now tell me what happened!"

Her breath got fast again. She swallowed down her saliva twice before speaking,

"Robbie, I went to meet Robbie, and just as usual he was trying to get rid of me" she paused, as tears leaked out of her eyes and she again gulped down her saliva, " We had hardly finished talking when a car went out of the parking and Robbie turned pale. He almost ran behind the car and then went to take his car to chase after it. When I stopped him to not leave me, he told me he-he-" more tears leaked out as she spits out, " that he loved that guy. A GUY!!!"

I frowned as her tears dropped on my table. I gave her a tissue which she took and dried her face. I patiently waited for her to stop crying. After around ten minutes, I forwarded her water again which she drank and looked a little calm. Then, I spoke to her slowly,

"Robbie is bi. Being in the 'Elite' society, you should be aware that it is not uncommon. He had recently developed an interest in his man and is chasing after-"

"Lies again" Sarah interjected bulging up in fury like a bullfrog, "He told me that he loved this man for eight years! EIGHT YEARS!!! You were definitely aware of it and were using my feelings for him to force our marriage to hide this truth isn't it?"

This was totally new information to me. He knew this guy for eight years? How is that even possible? Robbie was not even in this city back then! No, wait....eight years! Didn't Rogers say that this Tony guy came to Warham? Could it be that Tony and Robbie were in the same city eight years back? Did he meet him in college? No, he was not even a college student then? Where did he meet him?

High school?!!

Wait! No way!!

Could it be?

I quickly opened the side drawer and searched my notes of Guyana City and the high school Robbie studied in. Yes, it was that year when the recession hit, and our company suffered financially. I put Robbie in a public school. Did they meet there?

I put the notes aside and looked at Sarah who was still crying and throwing angry looks at me at the same time. I picked up the picture of Tony and turned it towards her.

"Is this the man he chased after?" I asked

"I didn't see the man's-" she started but stopped suddenly looking at the picture. She took it from my hand and scrutinized it thoroughly, "I-I have seen this man somewhere! I am sure I have but where?" she murmured to herself

I saw her analyzing the picture thoroughly and then slowly comprehension dawned on her eyes, "Yes-yes! I saw his picture on Robbie's cell phone. He was with another man and a kid"

"Yes. He is the one Robbie claims to be in love with. He works in our hotel. His name is Tony Hawker. He is an Omega but has hidden it-"

"He had hidden his identity?" Sarah asked, eyeing me from her mascara-filled teary eyes.

"Yes. Many Omegas do that in order to get a stable job. It looks like I have been neglecting my son's life a lot to not have known his love interest for this many years. Don't worry I will try to find a solution to it. You should now go and take a rest. You look exhausted"

"Omega? Omega...don-don't tell me Robbie is bonded to him...it can't be right?"

I did think of that possibility when Sarah mentioned that he had known Tony for so long but that had only complicated the matter.

"We'll talk about it later," I told her, sternly.

Sarah was not in the mood to just quietly take my words and leave. She jumped up, red-faced, make-up completely destroyed, looking like a demon.

"I AM NOT LEAVING TILL I-"

I had, nevertheless, lost all interest to argue with her. I interrupted her with a sharp cutting tone, "Silence"

Sarah abruptly stopped mid-sentence, puzzled by my tone. I continued with a cold glare, "I agreed for you to be my daughter-in-law but I have not given you permission to defame our family name to make your ends meet"

"I am not-" Sarah started, with a much-tamed voice.

"Did you think I would not know about your deeds behind my back?" I asked in an icy tone.

Sarah immediately cowed down, looking at me with slight fear, "I don't know what you are talking about"

"You don't?" I asked, amused, raising my eyebrow, "Should I spell it out for you?"

Sarah didn't respond, looking anywhere but towards me. I continued in the same cold tone, "I did tell you to try and change Robbie's mind, but I never gave you permission to spike his drink and stake Walker family reputation"

"I would not-"

"Quiet" I hissed

She held her tongue looking a little fearful. I spoke in a menacing voice, "I know that your dad is an expert in getting around the law with the loopholes in the legal system but if you cross me, I will get you looped in the legal system so tight that even your dad's tricks won't work. Your dad and I go back a long time, which is the only reason, I have not yet thrown you behind bars. If you want to marry Robbie, you better not resort to such cheap tricks"

Sarah lost all her gusto. Wordlessly, she stood there looking a little lost. She turned around and mechanically walked out of the door. I saw her leaving, thinking,

You are still too young to one-up me!

Leaving that aside, the picture of the situation is definitely more clear. If Robbie really is that Omega's bonded Alpha then he is also the father of that kid, it all makes sense now. The kid is making Robbie all soft and emotional!

I quickly took out all the pictures Rogers gathered for me of that Omega and looked for the picture of the kid. There were some of them with the kid but mostly his back was on the camera. After looking through for some time, I finally found a picture where the kid's side face was showing. For a brief moment when my mind went blank. The kid was almost an exact copy of Robbie. There is no doubt, he is Robbie's son. No wonder Robbie was so persistent about this matter and chasing after him. Blood relations often make people weak.

l leaned back on my chair with my eyes closed and a smile.

'Did you really think I wouldn't find out about it Robbie?

'Were you hiding this in fear that I might do something to your kid?'

Ha! I am not that ruthless! You really don't know how to play your cards; getting all emotional over a kid. If you had just spoken to me, you wouldn't have to go through such an arduous process. If that kid is the price for you to leave that Omega, then you will have it.
