Exactly What You Think!

Seeing his state, Lu Jung lowly exclaimed. "Oh my brother, I feel bad, no,no, I feel sad for you! What were you doing when people were busy looking for partner's. Look at me, I seek warmth in my wife when I am so worn out.." He informed with his eyes wide and hands trying to convey his seriousness.

Lu Jung continued. "My grandmother used to pester me all day long to find a girl for her and when I brought Ailin to meet her, she was beyond thrilled. And before I even knew about it , the next day, the whole town knew about me having a jade looking, beautiful partner. That was how my town used to celebrate when we got girlfriends." He chuckled with his deep tone.

"But you, It has been almost a decade and you don't even have a side chick yet?" He said, almost not believing his words.

'He is twenty-five years old and he was still on the baby steps to courting girls.' Lu Jung seriously thought.

Lu Jung didn't seem to sense the way he worded his sentence. It sounded like something was wrong with Ah Si.

Ah Si heard his last sentence and gave him his famous chilly look. Feeling the sudden shift in the temperature, Lu Jung shivered and looked away from his look.

A long silence surfaced in the room after that. No one talked and the only sound produced were the sounds of papers being flipped as they went through an urgent agreement paper concerning the underground arrangements.

There had been some technical issues when he was absent, and now that he was back, he had to take some firm decisions.

---

After a couple of minutes passed by, Ah Si stood up and went toward the huge window. He took a sigh and thought of Lu Jung's earlier words.

Without him realising, he had already spoke out with a solemn tone. "Studying,"

Lu Jung looked up from studying his papers and tilted his head in confusion.

"Huh?" He asked. Ah Si kept on staring at the distanced blue sky and didn't bother to reply back to him.

The silence resurfaced again in the room.

Shaking his head at the time and how fast everything changed for the past five years,

Ah Si walked towards Lu Jung and patted his shoulders. With a calm demeanour, he went towards the coffee machine to refill his third cup of the day. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again, he spoke in a trance.

"I was busy studying disciplines in the shadows of my elder." He threw out the words like it didn't mean anything to him. A sneer suddenly appeared on his elegant and handsome face as he mocked himself.

It turned out that the pride and respect he had in his elder were all just a facade he had built to shield others from his desperate heart. When people were busy falling in love and living heir teenage life to the fullest, he was busy preparing and building empires or making names for himself.

Whenever someone asked of his relationships he would feel irritated. The reason wasn't because he despised the idea of it but rather he was never introduced to the topic or the meaning behind it.

He remembered bringing home a frail kitten and when he fell too in love with it, the consequences wasn't something he could forgot. And maybe thst was the lesson they wanted to leave in him. To never cling on to someone desperately.

He was also like any other boy who wanted to fall in love and know the feeling of having one to trust, call your own and be with them for the rest of your life.

Lu Jung noticed the change of emotions in him and looked down, shaking his head. He took of his round glasses and went to sit on the maroon, awe-inspiring, sectional sofa.

He took a glance at the nearby white clock and spoke with a sadistic grin on his handsome face.

"Brother, Elder is back. We can't be running from our responsibilities for a longer period now. Sooner or later, we will have to face him." He said in a melancholic tone. When Ah Si heard him, he turned around and sighed inwardly.

Sooner or later, he will have to go through the same problems he once did on his childhood.

He suddenly chuckled and shook his head at his foolishness.

Lu Jung took a glance at him and asked amusedly.

"Brother, I have been noticing the change of emotions in you ever since that Aizhe girl came in to our lives. You seem serious.." He said smiling at him.

He thought, 'the famous Ah Si of the Ah Corporation was finally in love and that too with a girl lower his statues.'

Ah Si was leisurely glancing at the coffee cup and immediately felt rigid all over his body when he heard her name being mentioned. He looked at Lu Jung and without his knowledge a foolish smile crept on his cold face.

He took a sip of the smoky, bitter coffee and reminisced their time together for the last two weeks.

If one were to ask him what was his most treasurable memory, he would for sure say their time together.

"Brother, what say? Should I send her gifts in your name?"

Ah Si opened his shut eyes and looked at Lu Jung in bewilderment. "What gifts?" He asked.

When Lu Jung heard his question, his smile disappeared and his mouth was left hanged opened.

He couldn't believe that his brother-in-law had no clue about courting! His eyes bulged open and he felt more than pity on him. He shook his head and thought of a plan.

He stood up and sat on the swivel chairs infront of the main desk. He looked at Ah Si in the eyes and after thinking deeply, a bell rang in his head. He suddenly smiled with his pearl teeth shown and his face crinkled up as his eyes disappeared.

Seeing that familiar smile, Ah Si got alerted.

"What is that smile for? What are you up to?" He asked with a wary tone.

"My dear brother-in-law, it is exactly what you are thinking of!" He winked, laughing out loud in a exaggerated way.
