Heart Wasn't Settled..

The wind ruffled. Two figures stood outside the huge main gate as they held each others hands and both were lost in their own thoughts.

"Sister, why don't you come in with me?" Aizhe asked, holding on to Ai's hand tightly. Her face showed reluctance and longing.

Ai smiled at her and replied. "Aizhe, I have to go for shopping. Lu Jung amd my parents are also waiting for me.."

Aizhe smiled understandingly. She understood Ai's state, thus she didn't probed her anymore. She glanced at the huge gate, which seemed somehow distant to her that day.

Her breath came out in short pants and she felt the chilly wind embrace her. She was glad to have returned back home but somehow her heart wasn't settled.

"Ai, where is Si? I didn't even see him this morning.." Aizhe asked her curiously. She remembered having chat with him late last night and when her eyes opened, he was no where to be seen.

"Lu Jung informed there was an important meting to be discussed this morning, so they left for that.." Ai replied.

"Oh, okay, he must have missed a lot of work for the past few weeks." Aizhe's smile faltered as she looked at Ai apologetically.

Hearing her, Ai's hands tightened on her grip. She looked at Aizhe warmly.

"What do you mean? No matter what happens, Bebo and me will never want you to blame yourself for anything." Ai smiled at her.

Aizhe hesitantly looked at her and nodded as a reply.

The sun was fully displayed and its bright light casted a shadow on Aizhe.

Looking back at Ai, she smiled and let go of her hands. "Okay, Ai sister. I will come to visit someday, take care of yourself and do send my greetings to Su Ling auntie and Qiao uncle.."

She took a couple of steps ahead and the huge golden gates automatically opened. She felt the wind cascade and its light breeze hit her face.

Alongside the passing seasons, the ablanceolate shaped leaves dropped on to the floor one by one.

She took a couple of more steps when suddenly she heard a loud yet hesitant tone reaching out to her ears. She paused and turned around.

"Aizhe, remember your promise. Take care of yourself.." Ai looked back at her and when her gaze locked with Aizhe's, her smile brightened.

"Yeah..bye.." Aizhe smiled at her warmly.

Ai turned around and stepped in to the car. She turned the engine and soon the rustling car drifted further and further away.

Aizhe sighed and went inside the gate. She went pass the huge garden and reached the old yet glamorous front door. Seeing the familiar door knock, her slender, paraline toned hands hesitantly knocked it.

As the minute passed by, Aizhe's heart beat increased. She stood outside and when she heard the loud clatter of footsteps, her heart felt as it was being washed away by an icy cold bucket of water.

It was relaxing yet shivers were spreading throughout her whole body

She wondered why her heart wasn't settled at all today. Her emotions were also out of place. At first, she was feeling tremendous amount of happiness and as she approached the mansion, it felt as everything was not right..
