Misunderstood?

Aizhe momentarily fell into a daze as she remembered how she wanted to own a big house in Shanghai for her grandfather. She remembered everything clearly as if everything was just yesterday she smiled sweetly.

Ning Mei looked at her amd spoke out: "How has Zia been for the past weeks I was absent in her life?"

Aizhe turned to her and looked into her dark, soothing eyes. It held love and adoration for one. She kept smiling at her and reached for her hands.

"Mei sister, do you know how me and Zia met? She knocked on to the door with a bowl of chocolates. She wanted someone to play with her, love her and carry her. When I think back to it, it shouldn't be something a child should hesitate when they ask but till today, I remember the longing she had for someone's love.." she paused as she sincerely tried to tell her everything. She wanted Zia to have everything she deserved and the two parents needed to reconcile for that first.

"Sister, I don't know what happened between you and your husband, but why should a small child be responsible for your faults?" she continued.

Ning Mei looked down as she tried to hold herself back. She wanted go and love her kid but the pain her heart suffered was tremendous. Zia was a blessing for her but she was afraid to hold her and call her own name. She didn't want to mess her life thus she always separated herself away from her messed up one. She wished someone could love and shower her with affection in her place.

Aizhe held her hands tightly as she suddenly chuckled.

"Sister, don't worry. When I was kid, I never knew what parents love was but now that I think about it, I never realized the missing affection till I turned teenager, so I would say you have a chance to reconcile and shower her with the missing love." she looked away as the nights lights reflected her smiling face.

There wasn't any trace of sadness visible in her face but instead calmness and happiness was present as she remembered her childhood. She was lucky to have someone despite being orphan but Zia wasn't orphan. She had rights on her parents love just like any other kids.

Ning Mei listened to her and she somehow felt as if her heart melted. She realized talking like this wasn't going to solve anything. She had to solve her problems with Li Chen first.

She looked at Aizhe and she asked her hesitantly: "Is she really going to be fine with me?" Aizhe turned around and she ensured her with her ensuring warm gaze.

"Have you ever seen a parent who wouldn't think of their childs happiness? I am pretty sure you are doing all this for Zia. But remember Mei Sister, the more you are afraid and distancing yourself away from her, the more you are going to be in a disadvantage. And this divorce isn't going to help you in any sort of way, it will only increase your life and your child's problems."

Hearing Aizhe was all it took Ning Mei to understand everything. All the hesitancy she had in her disappeared almost immediately and she felt a new hope arise inside her. She smiled brightly as her black iris shoned beautifully. She looked at Aizhe and her face showed happiness.

"Thank you! Xiao Zhe, I honestly have no words to describe how I feel right now. Zia's condition was the only reason why I came back to China and ever since then all I wanted was someone to either support or oppose me in my decisions. My parents were always busy and all they cared about was the links they had with the Li's. That's why when I talked with you today, it felt really nice." Her shining black colored eyes turned misty as she spoke and soon tears overflowed, trickling down her round shaped face.

Aizhe felt her heart prickling and she immediately wiped Ning Mei's tears away. She smiled at her sadly. "It is totally fine now. You are also going to face your fears and embrace your daughter wholeheartedly."

Aizhe thought of the happy expression Zia is going to have when her mother will play with her and feed her.

Her face suddenly lit up and she stood up excitedly.¹

The two laughed through the whole night and only realized how late it was when Aizhe's phone rang.

She grabbed it and when she saw the time, her eyes bulged open. She immediately held her blanket closer to her and stood up to dash towards the room.

She suddenly paused and turned back to look at Ning Mei in hastened pace. She held her hands and said: "Sister, Brother Chen must be waiting for you in the room. Hurry over!" She told her anxiously.

What if he misunderstood? All her planning would go in vain! Aizhe thought.
