Counterattack

"Excuse me, can I come in?" Souta couldn't see the other students except for the president.

"I'm Souta Honda of class 1-3 and I'm here to submit my form to request the opening of a gaming club."

"Splendid!" President exclaims, "Miss Takahashi here, too, came in with the exact motive."

"What?" Souta turns to face his opponent.

'Which maggot do I have to fend off now?' Souta wonders.

To his surprise, it was the same pink-head from before.

"You little runt, what the hell do you want from me? Are you obsessed with me or something?" Souta comes at Sachiko.

"W-What are you talking about? I came here first. I even have a sponsor, " Sachiko tries to defend her honour.

"So do I, " Souta retorts.

"Why don't you guys just form the club together?" President tells them.

"Me, with her? Just let me form one alone, " says the insolent bastard.

"Then you'll need at least five members. Will you be able to find them, now?" The president is secretly trying to help Sachiko. He felt bad for her as he knew that the request was rightly hers.

"Well, there are four of us as of now. Could you please wait an hour?" Souta seemed to be in a dilemma.

"No, I need them now. As of this minute."

There is a long period of silence.

"Just form one together, you two, " the president says.

"Ugh, fine. Guess I have no choice then, " Souta says, turning to Sachiko.

Souta was up in arms that he had to include the little annoyance.

"Only on one condition though, " Sachiko says, with her head held high.

"Now what?"

Souta was being vexed by Sachiko.

"I get to be the vice president, at least."

Sachiko is adamant about her demand.

Souta looks at her, then the president.

The president, though, glares at him to agree with the condition.

"Fine, then. But tell me something, do you even play video games?" Souta raises his brow, showing his suspicion.

This sends chills down Sachiko's spine.

'What if he finds out? Think, Think. Ah, yes!'

Sachiko has a brilliant idea to shut Souta up.

"I see why you don't want me in the club. It's because you think that if I'm an FPS gamer, it would make your Japanese RPG gamer status a joke, right?" Sachiko says.

"W-What?" Souta stutters.

"Geez, so you're a Japanese RPG gamer after all, huh? I don't understand why you guys' taste suck. Seriously, the character and weapon synchronisation are so illogical. Ah, God."

Souta's face reddens.

"You're right when you say that Japanese RPG games make no sense with the designs. But the truth is that even I'm thinking of switching to Western FPS games, " Souta says, smiling at her. Somehow, Sachiko has gained his respect.

Sachiko, on the other hand, couldn't handle the heat seeing him smile at her. She started spacing out and imagining him kissing her on a rainy day.

"Alright, then. you guys can go for now. Meet me after school and we'll give you the keys to the extra room, " president informs the two.

Off went the two, one to the left and the other to the right.

Sachiko was disappointed at him, wondering, 'Couldn't he just walk with me to the class? Why'd he need to go to the washroom?'

Sachiko frowns, looking back at him.

'As if I'd go to the class, walking together with her. What am I? Her boyfriend? And moreover, what would... Natsume think? I'd rather go to the washroom.'

Looks like an interesting plot is about to unfold. Who is Natsume? Who is she to Souta and what is their relation?

And then, we come back to Sachiko.

"But whatever, it was all thanks to Hanako, " says Sachiko, the girl who cussed at her twice.

[FLASHBACK]

"Play the offline version of 'Assasin's Creed' for now. I'll suggest some more later, " says Hanako.

"It better be those popular Japanese games where we can change our characters. I want to impress Honda-Kun. Moreover, these Western games seem boring. "

Hanako glares at Sachiko.

'What is this dreadful aura I sense?'

"I'll tell you what, Japanese RPG suck. They are so incoherent with the design! I mean, they only focus on making their characters hot, duh. Western games rock!"

Sachiko wonders if she should be listening to Hanako's farcical ideas by now.

[END OF FLASHBACK]

But now we know that Sachiko doesn't regret listening to Hanako.

"I'm very grateful that I listened to Hanako. Because she ranted at me the last time, I was able to make a good impression on Honda-Kun."

Our moronic girls don't seem that moronic, do they?
