Parents

Rows of tombstones line the hillside as a few hundred figures were seen walking silently beside them. A particular teenager with two roses in his hand walked to one of the biggest tombstones before stopping in front of it.

This teenager was obviously Jason, with a disappointed look he crouched down and wiped fall the tombstone with his hand. This did take a few minutes but as some others were doing the same as Jason many didn't look towards him.

Breathing slowly he said, "Hey mom and dad... It's been 8 years since the Heaven's Fall. I'm 16 now and Mina is 13.... She is still in the hospital right now but I will try to wake her up soon so she can come visit you both."

Dropping his head, Jason places the roses down in front of the tombstone as a few years fell from his eyes. "I really do miss you both... even with the money you had saved for me and Mina... I don't need any of that... I only need you two... I want-"

Jason choked on his words as his body trembled heavily. Tears streamed down his face landing on the grass below... "I... I want you both to see my girlfriend... watch me go to prom... watch me go to college... I have so much I want you both to personally see..." At this point Jason cried as he spoke softly.

He missed his parents more than anything, he never understood why his parents had died other than the house being attacked my crazy people. He remembered the last words of his father telling him to protect his sister. He had not been able to hear his mother's voice as she had already passed minutes before.

While thinking back to that time and trying to continue talking about what he wanted them to see he slowly fell silent. Unknowingly he had spent even longer just talking about what he wanted his parents to witness, his dreams, than how long he was with Mina.

The sun had already begun to set, as he looked around he saw tombstones lit up with candles. As he was wondering why someone had tapped him on the shoulder. As he turned to see who it was he saw someone he had never seen before. A man with a black suit and glasses handing him a candle held within a jar. "Light it and place it in front of the tombstone." As Jason complied he saw as the words were lit up on the tombstone. He sighed and stood up as the man walked to the next tombstone, lighting the candle himself as nobody was there at the moment.

Jason looked at the tombstone before smiling and looking over the sea of tombstones on the lower section of the hill. "Mom, Dad... I'll come back with my girlfriend or Mina next time... Or if I do something I know you both would be proud of... Please don't be mad at me..."

As he frowned and walked away from the tombstone of his parents, he looked at the thousands of lit up tombstones before checking his phone while walking down the path to the entrance. "4 missed calls and 13 messages..." He smiled to himself before putting his phone away, "Today I won't worry about any of that..." Jason smiled as he began his trip home feeling slightly better

In an alley way not too far away from Jason's apartment, a man leaned against the wall in a hoodie and jeans. The color of the clothes was obviously black, his eyes focused on his phone screen as he looked at the information. Smiling to himself he muttered, "Son of the previously world famous Richardsom scientists? Who would want him dead? He was still a kid and I doubt he would know anything... Well the money is pretty high... 20 mil is a lot for a bounty on a child." As the man laughed to himself he smiled and lit a cigarette before smoking it halfway. "I'll still take the job though, it's nothing too difficult and I'll be able to live out a couple of years peacefully... seems like it's your unlucky day kid... just wait until I find a way to deal with you." Tossing the cigarette to the ground he walked out of the alley.

If anyone would have seen the toss the mysterious made, it would have looked as if the cigarette would engulfed in flames before being tossed to the ground...
