Discoveries on the Journey

As the Celestial Hawk soared through the skies on its steady course to the central region, Ming Yue and Xuan spent their days sharing knowledge.

Ming Yue, always dedicated to her craft, would often visit Xuan's room, discussing medicinal herbs, alchemical techniques, and rare plants that might aid in healing his soul injury.

One evening, Ming Yue knocked on Xuan's door, holding a scroll covered in notes about medicinal plants.

Ming Yue knocking lightly on the door and said : "Xuan? May I come in?"

Xuan opening the door and smiling said :"Of course, Ming Yue. You've brought more scrolls?"

Ming Yue: smiling back said: "Yes. I wanted to discuss a few medicinal properties that might aid in your recovery. I'm curious if you have any insights."

They sat down, and Ming Yue unfurled the scrolls, pointing to various sketches of plants and herbs.

Ming Yue pointed to a sketch of a plant with broad, spiky leaves and a single yellow blossom in the center.

Ming Yue: "This one here is called Goldenleaf Balm. It's known to help with soul recovery, but it needs to be combined with other herbs. Do you know much about it?"

Xuan studied the sketch, his gaze thoughtful.

Xuan: "Goldenleaf Balm is powerful, yes. But it needs to be balanced with Serpentvine Root; otherwise, it can cause side effects. Using too much can result in energy instability, especially if the soul is still fragile."

Ming Yue's eyes widened slightly, impressed by his insight.

Ming Yue was surprised :"You're right. Most would overlook that detail. How do you know so much about these properties?"

Xuan smiling modestly said : "I've spent some time studying medicinal plants. Knowledge of herbs and healing arts has been useful on my journey."

As the days passed, Ming Yue continued to bring new plants to discuss, each time finding herself more impressed by Xuan's knowledge. On one particular evening, she brought a complex list of herbs that required a delicate balance to use effectively.

Ming Yue pointing to another herb and asked him: "What about Moonshade Petal? I've heard it can calm the mind, but it's known to have dangerous side effects if used improperly."

Xuan nodding said :"True. Moonshade Petal is powerful for calming the mind, but it should never be mixed with anything containing Fire Qi. The combination can create a volatile reaction. For a calming effect, it's best paired with Silvershade Grass."

Ming Yue looked at him, a mix of admiration and curiosity in her eyes.

Ming Yue: "Xuan, your understanding is impressive. I didn't realize you had such extensive knowledge. Where did you learn all this?"

Xuan faking modesty said:"I picked up knowledge here and there. I found it useful to understand these things it can be a lifesaver in difficult situations."

Ming Yue continued to visit Xuan each day, her admiration growing. His understanding of medicinal herbs, rare plants, and their delicate balances became evident with each conversation.

Ming Yue said: "Xuan, I must admit, you've surprised me. I didn't expect you to know so much about the healing arts. You could rival many skilled alchemists."

Xuan grinning said :"Well, I'm glad to hear that. Knowledge is a tool, and I've found it valuable to have a variety of skills."

Ming Yue: "Your insight is a gift. The Yun family's medicinal stores have some rare herbs—maybe together, we can find something that will help you recover fully."

Xuan nodding said  "I'd be honored to work with you, Ming Yue. Thank you for letting me share this journey with you."

Over the two months, their daily conversations continued, building mutual respect and understanding. Ming Yue's initial curiosity had turned into genuine admiration, and Xuan, in turn, felt grateful for the chance to share his knowledge and grow his skills with her.

Xuan felt a quiet happiness, knowing that he was someone she chose to spend time with. It was a rare gift, one that he found himself treasuring more with each day.
