Chapter 223: Black Pool

[Demon Continent, Below Ground]

Walking down a huge and wide stairway below surface level, Kaido together with Argos and Fengris not far behind were following Aileene as she led them to their expected destination

For starters right after the fight, Aileene herself led them to one of the mountains and showed them a hidden passage that was quite below ground

Surprisingly the passageway was really well hidden that it might take them few weeks to find it without Aileene's guide

After a awhile of walking down the long and spooky stairway, Aileene herself begun to talk

"Well by the way, the process of conversion really takes awhile so In order for no interruptions, someone must be atleast able to look out for you while you submerge since you will be pretty defenseless by then" said Aileene

"Defenseless... . . Well... . . " Deliberated Argos

"Or we could just do it ourselves, since this will also serve as a catching up moments right?" Suggested Fengris

"... . . I got no problem with that" said Aileene

"Me either" said Argos

After that out of nowhere Kaido asked Aileene

"What will happen if I submerge? Based on your experience, what's your intake on this?"

"My intake? Well you could say that it's horrible to a certain degree" answered Aileene

"It's like the very darkness itself is ripping through you, it's quite irritating at first but if your not even good at handling malice, you might go out of control, after all facts aside people would always align black to darkness and evil" said Aileene

"I see"

At that the whole place once again descended into silence

Sooner than expected they arrived at their destination

Just like what they expect, such place were foretold to be really creepy and eerie

As the pool was huge, with rock pillars protruding out of its surface, this further enhance by the redeeming slight fog above the water surface and the lightning of a torch

If the story were a bit true and all according from Aileene, then this place have been a place where so many corpses and dumped into the water

With that it may be possible that such body of liquid to be quite something, but there's one thing for sure is that no one knows what will happen to you when you dive inside

Since the pool according to Aileene holds a lot of malice, it may be possible for ones individual's personality change thus if it were true then such theory would atleast feasible

As for Aileene's case she in turn somehow manage to regain her old personality while having at times a split of her changed personality, if we're not for Argos intervention from her past then perhaps she would have been a really different person from her current self

"If your going to submerge, I suggest that you take off all of your clothes since by doing so is much more effective than having your clothes on" advised Aileene

"Clothes off? Is that really necessary?" Asked kaido

"Well yes since i too did the same like way back before"

"I see... . . I understood"

With that Kaido proceeded I'm slowly taking off his clothes

As for Fengris and Argos the former seemed to be interested by the black pool as he crouched down at it's edge and slightly tap the surface of the liquid

As for Argos he simply searched for a place to lean on as he continues to observe the black pool which was created by the vampires year ago out of their greed for power

Sooner than expected Kaido somehow finished on taking off all of his clothes and showed his skin in which had turned both thin with the little exception of muscle protruding out on his arms and legs

"If I may say... . . Your quite thin, when was your last meal?" Asked Fengris after observing Kaido

"Meal? I forgot... . . " Answered Kaido

"Is that so? Alright after this let's have a feast for our new addition to the family" said Fengris

"Whatever" snorted Aileene

"....." Reacted Argos

With nothing more to say Aileene urged Kaido to slowly make his way to the center of the pool and completely submerge himself

Hearing that Kaido in trunk obediently followed suite, but when his toe struck the water, the aura of darkness suddenly overwhelmed him so much that even multitudes of sweats could be seen dripping everywhere on his body

But without letting up, Kaido continued further as he slowly submerge his foot, followed by his other foot then his body and lastly his waist

After than he slowly walked to the center while still being overwhelmed by the darkness

For some reason Kaido felt like the more he's closer to the center, the pressure itself becomes even more heavier but since he applied a psychic barrier, he in turn unhesitatingly moved forward

Soon when he reached the center only his head was the only thing that was still above the surface and as expected the pressure from the center of it is much more heavier than the outer ones

Even with this as the case he slowly but surely submerge inside the pool letting nothing from the surface to show up

With that the process of conversion started for his case, as expected just like what Aileene described, the moment an individual submerge completely, the darkness itself will try to get into his head thus feeling the rippling completely as if his skin was being shredded

As the presence of Kaido seemed to disappear inside an endless darkness itself, Aileene on the other hand turned her attention back at the two people who were just tagging along

"All we need now Is to protect him" she said

"Oh please! Stop beating around the bush, you yourself fully knows that no one can take care the three of us if ever become serious in doing something" said Fengris as he stared at her and crossed his arms

"That's true... . . But if I deduct then the people seemed to have forgotten about us" she said

This time Argos himself spoke

"Are you saying that, there might be foolish people that would freely still interrupt this conversion even though we're the ones protecting it?' asked Argos

"As far as I'm concerned then there are really people just like that" answered Aileene

Right after she said that for some reason since the three of them were calamity beings, then it would only be natural that they have the greatest senses out of all classes

With that however they somehow realized that some people with I'll intent charging in towards the mountain

"Told you! Foolish beings" said Aileene

With that the three of the seemed to be excited

"Shall we entertain them?" Asked Argos

"Well they did come here out of all places" said Fengris

"Sure enough were aren't cruel just by letting our guest wait right?" Said Argos

With that the three of them made their move at once as they confronted the incoming enemy

Meanwhile unknown to the perpetrators which consist of various vampire high ranks with the strongest as a supreme vampire, they on the other hand didn't realize that they're safety was in danger at all

As soon as they found a clue to where Kaido was headed, per Sirius orders they all started to hunt him down thus leading them to this backwater former capital

All in all if numbered they consist of three supreme vampires, four archvampires, and three Vampire high lord, totaling to atleast ten individual charging in towards their destination

"The targets close, I can feel it that he's here in hiding"

"He won't be able to escape this time"

"We still need to act cautious In case he goes on a rampage"

"Agreed! After all you may never know what happens if your caught off guard"

"True! Come let's go!!!"

With that the ten of them bypasses the citizens of the city and immediately climbed up to the mountains with the expectation to corner kaido

After awhile of running, a sudden heavy pressure much heavier from anything they've felt so far suddenly overwhelmed them

Soon three figures came into view two of them were tall black haired men, while the third is a little red eyes girl

"Oh look vampires! Just like you!!! Are you perhaps relatives?" Asked Fengris as he looked down on the group of vampires below and Aileene

"Relatives? I have none, all of them were killed" said Aileene without bathing an eye for the other vampires below

"But still they are your species... . . Is that okay with you?" Asked Argos

"My own species? Don't make me laugh, as far as I'm concerned you guys are now my current race since the three... . . Correction four of us including the one one inside are a calamity being" said Aileene

"Hoh! Did you just correct yourself? Interesting" pondered Fengris

Hearing this Aileene suddenly frowned as she took a peek at the irritating face of Fengris

"You!!!"

"Hmm?"

"Shut it!!!"

As they continued to block their way at the same time have the audicity to converse infront of the enemy, the vampires seemed irritated for the fact that they were being looked down

"You! Don't underestimate us!!! We don't Know who you guys are but let me tell you this, if you guys have the perpetrator named Kaido under your protection, then hand him over! I command you!!!" Said one of the vampire high lord as he used charming skill on them especially on Aileene since she was a girl of the opposite sex, and have a higher tendency of being charmed

But contrary to his expectation, none of the even moved an inch or even show a slight hint of being charmed, instead they only gave him a disgusted look

"Uwah! He used that disgusting ability called charm" complained Fengris

"Vampires really do prefer playing dirty" commented Argos

"Not all of them, but... . . I'm really disappointed on just how much the current vampires are reliant on such method of seducing"

With that exchange, for some reason the three of them begun emitting a huge killing intent which easily enveloped the whole vampire group as if their intimidation was nowhere close and huge as theirs

"Now what should we do?" Asked Fengris

"Shall we?" Asked Argos

In reply to that Aileene gave a firm answer to the both of them

"Kill them!!!"

[Demon king's Castle, Demon Continent]

Walking down the long and spacious hallway of the demon king's castle, Sirius on the other hand was contemplating about something as he received the news about the deaths of the scout team coming from a bunch of high rank vampires that went and tried to hunt down the target

As he pondered about such things, he was somehow confronted by both Belial and Larval as they walked down the aisle opposite of his

"You seemed pale for a reason Sirius"

"Belial!!! What do you want?" Asked Sirius as he let out a snarl

"Feisty aren't you? It's like your trying to avoid talking a certain subject before me" said Belial

"Not particularly! After all I'm just avoiding the fact that I'm going to be led on by you during a conversation" said Sirius as he crossed his arms

"I see, but you see... . . I think I heard you mumble a while back that your scouted have been killed... . . Isn't that somewhat pitiful?' asked Belial

Hearing that Sirius glared at Belial as he said

"Are trying to be funny? Cause if you do then it's not funny at all"

"Of course it's not funny because I'm not telling a joke but rather I'm telling you that you've been nothing but a failure" said Belial

Hearing that Sirius for once breath out a sigh when suddenly he extended his hands to grab on hold of Belial to beat him up, unfortunately the latter was also thinking of the same thing as Belial suddenly grabbed ahold of his jaw first and slammed them against the wall

After that his claws extended to a certain degree and pointed them below Sirius neck as he said

"Don't be foolish! No matter what you do, you will never ever defeat me, In fact i could kill you right now, but that wouldn't be fun right? I want to see you struggle so at the very least try your hardest"

With that Belial let Sirius go as both him and Larval suddenly started walking away when suddenly a voice reverbrated across the vicinity which surprised the three of them
