Chapter 239: Destruction Of The Empire IV

Sitting inside the throne room staying aloof, the time that he gave for the empire to resist against the power of a calamity being for 5 minutes was slowly ticking away and nearing its end

With the remaining 1 minute he could hear various explosions outside that is caused by the fight

But nevertheless Kaido wasn't worried at all, as he conjured a black flame on his other hand and begun tossing it to his other hand, like playing a catch by itself

As he glanced at the earthen molded castle on the ground and some dots moving around, he somehow knew who's fleeing and who's fighting and based on what it dictated both Aileene And Fengris managed to catch up and corner King Emperor Ergo

While on Argos side he was completely confused on the two attackers that were brave enough to face him

"Well this is interesting... Just who are the ones attacking Argos?" Muttered Kaido as he continued playing with his black flame

After that he then showed no further attention to.ot as hell observed the ticking time away

Meanwhile outside the castle walls itself Argos was indeed having a bout against a 12th rank royal Knight Seijurn and an unknown adventurer named Sully

With their initiation both of them splitted ways as they each have their own strategy on dealing with Argos and their own fighting style

The first one to execute it between the two of them was Sully himself as he brandished his sword and fully intended to cut off his head, while twisting his ankle on his direction and shot himself forward

With a series of slashes Argos in turn defended them all by blocking it with its own scales while also keeping in mind the presence of a royal Knight somewhere slowly disappearing on his blind side

Just at the right moment Seijurn suddenly turned and attacked Argos while the latter was still busy defending from the first attacked

Strengthening his sword using Mana, Seijurn a royal Knight swiftly swung his sword horizontally at him In which  alerted Argos of it's danger

So in response to this Argos quickly grabbed ahold of Sully's swords and kicked his legs to make the latter slip and quickly turning around as he strengthened his arm that has turned into a dragon arm  to counter the attack that was coming from Seijurn

Successfully blocking two attacks, Seijurn immediately changed it's way of holding it's sword as he flipped it over and hacks down towards Argos

With the crisp sound of hard scales and metal clashing, Seijurn hands felt numbed from attacking Argos, thus he clenched his fist and delivered a punch towards his face

Naturally Argos himself tilted his head to the side as he slapped Seijurn's sword away and punched the latter through the guts which propelled him and crashed against three buildings

As for Sully even though seeing that, he didn't falter at all as he smiled restlessly and continued on his assault

To make Argos let's go of his sword he quickly placed a hand on his stomach as he used some kind of Mana burst to push the former away by a few miles

Of course Argos was a bit surprised by that attack but it didn't gave him any extiential damage nor it dangerous enough to kill him, but in the end Sully has made Argos dropped his sword due to this

Picking it up Sully found itself getting excited when fighting against Argos as he positioned his own self as he glared at the latter

With a mumble he started casting his own magic which made Argos seemed intrigue

In response to this Argos released a bit of a pressure and concentrated all of it into his one arm

"Striking burst!!!"

With a dash Sully completely covered her myself with his own Aman as he dashed straight towards Argos aiming to cut he in half

As for Argos himself he quickly clenched his fist  as he hammered down his attack causing waves after waves after waves of explosion and smoke rising uncontrollably

But this didn't made Sully stopped as he stepped into the pebble and launched itself forward completely passing though the destruction Argos made

Rising from the clouds itself Sully immediately hacks down his sword towards the predicted area only to.be surprised that his target wasn't there at all

Sensing danger all of the sudden Argos quickly grabbed ahold of Sully's head and smashed it down to the ground causing a crater to cave in just like that

Coughing up a little black flames fumed put of Argos mouth as he aimed it towards Seijurn who had just gotten himself out of the rubble

Surprised by it Seijurn quickly activated many defensive skills as he fully engulfed by the black flames

With that another explosion rung out

After that Argos didn't let up at all as he took ahold of Sully's leg and slammed him unto the wall and floor before he threw him away using brute strength alone

When he thought that everything was over and all he had just to do was wait, he suddenly received another magic based attack which exploded right after colliding with him

Apparently Seijurn survived Argos attack and made a counter on her own

Emerging from that explosion Argos somehow felt a looming presence from above him, thus he looked upwards and saw Seijurn covered with a holy aura as he raised his sword  and hacked down towards Argos

"Die! Thundering Holy wail!!!"

On those dark clouds above their heads, thunder rolled down as they struck Argos with great power causing the land for about few centimeters to be burned down as dark pot spreads out and scorched it black

But in the end such attack didn't made Argos feint at all, but it did intrigue so much that Argos himself smiled and started casting his very own magic

"Dragon magic: Hollow storm!!!"

Just as he casted this several tornadoes descended form above and completely razed.the ground causing screams to arise as the violent wind killed people off instead of lifting them up upon contact

Not only that but it did left a scar on the very world crust itself, but as if that wasn't enough lightning and thunder rolled down along with it as it struck down to the ground at a random interface

With that suddenly 10 continues thunder and lightning suddenly swept down towards the ground and aimed at Sully and Seijurn themselves

Activating their defensive skills they fully intended to survive through this until the end, but Argos wasn't nice enough to let that happen as he opened his mouth and started roaring loudly which in turn reverbrated his dragonic roar that shook the earth

Due to this the Mana fluctuation around them suddenly dispersed by his own roar as  they failed to apply defensive skills on them, with that their own body fully took on the full brunt of Argos dragon Magic causing unceasingly screams of pain to resound

After a while at that time after receiving numerous strikes, Argos was once again surprised as both of them was still alive evne though they received directly it's full damage on them

No matter what Argos really wanted to continue their fight when suddenly a voice spoke out from out of nowhere and suddenly alerted the three of them that the time was up and the King Emperor actually survived for five minutes from the assault of the Calamity Beings

Of course most of their time was somehow spent on going against each other or talking to their enemy that their time to finish them off were actually kinda reduced

After that Kaido congratulated the King Emperor himself

"I can't believe you actually survived that old man, but it must be the prestige of being a ruler... Well anyway you survived and that too is a fact... Congratulations!" Said Kaido through a voice projection magic that Aileene drew for him and resounded all over the halfway destroyed empire cause of Argos magic

"You! You dare! Do you think my life is enough not worthy to be played like a game you freaking bastard!" Roared King Emperor Ergo

At that time Duke Agra finally stood up from his own crashing point and laughed at Kaido's failure to eliminate the enemy at all

"Isn't this kinda disappointing? You came back here to take your revenge, placed your own rule, but yet you can't finish off the ruler at all... What does that make you? A failure that's what" said Duke Agra as he laughed at Kaido's failure

But this was eventually cuts off as Kaido remained calm as he said

"Fail? In which part did I fail? I did placed my own conditions on this hunt but I never said that I will let you guys go alive right?"

At his words Duke Agra was left speechless as he realized that fact

"Not only that but your name reminded me of that Demon I killed who was also named Agra, are you perhaps an reincarnation of that small fry of a demon?"

Hearing that Duke Agra felt belittled being compared to a Demon this he fumed as he gritted his teeth while clutching his damaged parts

After that he directed his attention towards King Emperor Ergo himself and said

"By the way your majesty! Have you ever felt falling from the sky?"

At that question everyone became silent even the the three other Calamity Beings as they thought of Kaido's words, but nevertheless Kaido continued on talking

"The thing is the act itself is quite majestic as such it feels like you are the ruler of the world, by solely flying through the sky, one could feel the wind brushing through your face... it's really refreshing you know" said Kaido as if he's imagining about it

After that he somehow told the other three to back off since the empire managed to protect their king for a substantial amount of time

After hearing that Aileene, Fengris, and Argos shot off through the sky as Argos himself used his wings hover a few miles away from the kingdom while both Aileene and Fengris condensed the Mana in the air to artificially make themselves stand on a invisible platform supported by a condensed Mana

After that Kaido offered something as a reward for the empire

"With that I'll let you experience something new and thrilling" said Kaido with an evil grin

"What are..."

But before King Emperor Ergo finish his words, explosions rung out at all sides of the castle as ripples after ripples of waves blasted open the ground around it

Soon the earth below moved accordingly to Kaido's command and slowly but surely was lifting itself off the ground using his enhanced psychic power

Of course the ground inside the castle shook hard as the survivors of the onslaught was bewildered once more by the sudden movements of the ground

At first everyone thought it was just your ordinary quake, but for some reason they could feel the air brushing past them as the atmosphere became colder and colder by the second

Soon it became.harder for them to breath as they realized that they were rising in altitude and passed through the clouds

Once that happened they were shocked still as they realized that the whole castle was being lifted off the ground with an Altitude of 1000 meters from the ground and still rising

This event completely flustered them as some non-combatant such as confidant, nobles, maid, butlers, and other castle workers along with the surviving knights and mages went limp to the ground as they felt helpless on what to do

Duke Agra and King Emperor Ergo for some reason lost their composure as they saw them off the ground

Soon some of the non-combatants started bowing to the ground as they asks for mercy on Kaido

With such an event their whole lives depended whether Kaido accepted their offer or not to have mercy on them and spare their lives

But Kaido replied otherwise

"What are you talking about? This is not an execution but rather a study tour" said Kaido as he pretended to know nothing

But in this kind of situation they still pleaded for their lives soon by the altitude of 1500 to 2000 the air around them suddenly became thicker which made it harder for them to breath and Ice forming everywhere

By the altitude of 2100 everyone seemed lifeless as they tried to preserve their lives using Mana while some died of suffocation

At this moment Kaido said

"Hey your majesty! Do you know how the dinosaur got themselves killed?"

At that question King Emperor Ergo who was preserving the air glared at the empty air as he cursed Kaido completely in his heart

This was also true for Duke Agra

But this time Kaido's voice turned serious as they saw him hovering above them

"This time I'm going to demonstrate to you on how they died"

"!!!"

With a thought Kaido instantly retracted his psychic energy that he used to lift the castle as his face suddenly turned dark and emotions was nowhere to be seen

A complete villain who disregarded any life except for the people he acknowledged

"Now fall!"
