Chapter 307: Apocalypse Dragon Vs Dragon Monarch

In this area full of dragons, naturally Argos wasn't born in the dragon clan but rather in the demon continent and yet he knew their clan

Unknown to all he knew such places after roaming the world in far back in the history, which in turn made him able to understand and memorize the places he found and this clan was one of them

He came to the dragon clan to get the participation of the Dragon Monarch, the ruler of the dragons into the raid since dragons itself boost a lot of strength just by engaging a battle, much more when many of them fight together

With that in mind, Argos then came before the dragon clan to have an audience with the Dragon Monarch

Unfortunately it wasn't that easy as he fought and fought against dragons one after another as they try to prevent Argos from having an audience

But as time passes he then finally beaten 10 strong dragons in their clan, this gaining attention from the Dragon Monarch, part of which the Monarch itself was interested to a dragon who wasn't born from this clan

Not only was Argos being marveled by other spectating dragon's but he was also being eyed by various female dragons who based the candidates of their mates/husband's through strength

With Argos mysterious background, unknown origin, outsider, a dragon who was born outside the dragon clan, strength, and the gall to stand before the dragon monarch, with such traits the females of the dragon clan begun inputting Argos as their top choice of the mist get candidates

That side of the female dragons was in itself on another side

This time with the success of getting an audience with the Dragon Monarch, Argos was now then faced with the Dragon Monarch as he stood infront of him who was just sitting on his lofty stone throne, guarded by two more strong elite guards

Sitting on the throne with it's opened fur long coat, unruly red hair, fine-tuned body, brown eyes, and fine canine teeth, the Dragon Monarch then started to speak up

"I heard and learned that you wanted an audience, I'm quite curious though... Tell me your reason for requesting an audience with me" said Maltheus

In reply to that Argos casually shrugged his shoulders as he stretched his neck and said

"The thing is... I wanted for the Dragon Monarch to join on a raid, if only if it interest you though"

Hearing him answer all the dragon's were surprised to see him being unaffected by the Aura of the Dragon of the Dragon Monarch

In fact to test his will the Dragon Monarch even activated such intimidating aura which made all dragons around him pale faced, even the strongest dragons paled in comparison with this aura much less the females

But as an another pinnacle route for dragon's Argos wasn't that much affected by it as he only felt a tingly feeling causing him to stretch his body

Upon that display the dragon's were really awed including the Dragon Monarch itself

"Raid? If you tell me it's content, I might consider it" said by Maltheus

"If you say so..." Replied Argos as he inhaled for a bit before answering

"We plan on raiding the void"

"Void? What is this place called void? In all my life I haven't heard of such things" asked Maltheus

"Void simply put... the sorcerer's and magicians of this world knows about it as such place is one of the two places that can't be governed by God's" answered Argos

"Hoh!!!"

Clearly Maltheus was intrigue as he himself is close to godhood

"Void is a place for the corrupted, it is said that the void was an exile place for dangerous people and much more to people who can literally destroy the world, but such description wasn't that accurate as it was merely a guess from an unprecedented theory of some alchemist" said Argos

"But one thing is for sure is that no living being from any dimension and realm to be able to survive there for a long time without being corrupted by its endless creatures... It is nearly like a nightmare inside that space, if one enters it, a person can be sure that the one exiled in the void would 100% die"

"But the problem was someone actually was brave enough to harvest it's power and even started to control the Demon's forcing to act and state a war against the three races" said Argos

"War against three races? Now that's thrilling, but why though?" Asks Maltheus

"For his goal..."

"Goal?"

"Reducing the number of its potential threat, and in the end..." Trailed Argos

"He succeeded and actually produced actual good result which became the reason of the deaths of millions of people" finished Maltheus

Hearing that Argos nodded

"I see... But he must be the reason why your gathering people for the raid? So what's he's up to?" Asked Maltheus

"I don't know... All I know is a family of mine wanted to kill him for his own personal goal in mind, and in the end two selfish people goes against each other's throats just to realize their goals... One wanted to return to his previous place, while the other was trying to revive someone" shrugged Argos

Hearing that Maltheus somehow chuckled

"But in the end due to that, you will end up saving the world even though that wasn't your original attention"

"Indeed but no one would know about it as this operation was strictly in the section for only the gathered people" said Argos

At that thought Maltheus then begin pondering about something as he seemed to be thinking it through

"Hmm... Void eh!... Might as well try them out as one of my potential achievements as a Demigod... So who are we up against?"

"The First Hero... The strongest of all the Hero's in history"

At that Maltheus laughed when he heard of such description from Argos

"Hahaha! I didn't expect that at all, but I'm indeed Intrigue, a warrior from the ancient times, just how powerful are they? I'm finally had a chance to figure that out"

After that Maltheus begun eyeing Argos as he scanned him and said

"It seems that your not tired, say I'm aching for a stretch here, I always wanted to exercise my body at some point... What do you say? Care for a round of sparring?" Asked Maltheus

At that Argos was simply taken aback as he then smiled and said

"Why not"

Hearing that the other dragon's begin to exclaim whole others begun to get heated up

In fact such spar was already unneccessary as Argos completed his goal, but he himself was also intrigue on just how powerful is the Dragon Monarch, an another existence on the Pinnacle of the dragons

So with that in mind he agreed on the match

Now towards the part where they were in the bottom of the cliff which is filled with rocks and other formations, the dragon's begun filling up the mountains as they observe from afar for their own safety

With this range of the audience, Maltheus then beckoned Argos to begin the match

"Are you ready?"

"Not quite!"

"Care for an introduction?"

"Do what you want"

Hearing that Maltheus then smiled as he begun the introduction

"My name is Maltheus! The Dragon Monarch, a Demigod too"

Hearing that intro, all of the dragons in the spectating area begun cheering loudly

Hearing that Argos then in turn introduced himself

"Name is Argos! An Apocalypse Dragon, Calamity Class Being"

Hearing that gasp and silence filled the area, even Maltheus was dumbstruck by that notion and didn't expect Argos to be another pinnacle existence

For dragon's they clearly knew the Calamity Class Beings as it was depicted to them that such beings were even feared by God's cause of the representation of power by Bahamut on the past

(Noted that Bahamut, together with Leviathan, behemoth and many others are Calamity Class Beings in the ancient times)

With those backgrounds revealed, the value of the match became even more so important as this will be a fight between two pinnacle stage of existence (even though Maltheus was still in the process of godhood)

As silence permeated the air Maltheus made its first move as he lightly waved his hand and blasted a huge tsunami flame towards Argos, completely engulfing the whole bottom of the cliff

Seeing that Argos breaths and fired off his black flame agaisnt it to serve as a shield or obstructions from that kind of fire

With the intensity of the flames from both pinnacle existence the terrain and landform begin hearing up to it's melting point as the first attack was just served

Completely blocking that Argos then coiled his arm with black lightning as he raised it up into the air and struck Maltheus from above

"Thunderstruck!"

With a load roar from the heavens, a black lightning then descended and struck Maltheus from above in a singular flash, which in turn had turned the whole place upside down

From that one strike from the Dragon Monarch and the two strikes from Argos, both of them completely turned the whole place into a total wrecked terrain that is equivalent to a war happening in the area

Seeing this the spectating dragons were awed

Stepping out from the rubbles completely unaffected, Maltheus then completely grinned from that, which even made Argos seemed intrigue

"Nice attack... I really felt that"

"You think so? Then I'm glad... But I wasn't finished"

In a flash another streak of black lightning struck him on his side, which forced Maltheus to take on the defensive at this stance as Argos simply stood in the air

While doing this Argos conjure multiple huge metoerite sized black flame ball coiled with black wind and black lightning

Under his pressuring command, Argos then made all of this sphere attacks descend to the ground, completely razing it clean and causing a huge explosion to erupt followed by a pillar of flame to shoot out from below

"Elemental Descent!"

At this moment Argos eyebrow twitched upon seeing a silhoutte inside the disaster suddenly flew up in a lightning speed while being engulfed in red hot flames and slammed against Argos

"This is it! Finally! I can go all out!" Smiled Maltheus as it seemed that he haven't been injure at all

With his full strength Maltheus held unto Argos tightly as he slammed him agaisnt a mountain, before pulling up his head and slammed it again

This impact in turn cracked the whole mountain in the process

Arching his back Maltheus then begin sending multiple straight punches towards Argos face with each strike equivalent to a wrecking ball hitting a cat at it's top speed

With each punch the mountain shook causing the spectators to fly upwards

Soon with inputting flame magic on his fist Maltheus then begun to deliver a huge blow, when suddenly Argos immediately opened his mouth and shot off an attack

"Dark Renegade!"

Like a laser Maltheus was completely engulfed by such attack as his body turned limp, but Argos didn't let him rest at all as he pulled his arm and slammed him agaisnt the mountain and inputting Calamity Mana unto his fist and struck hard on Maltheus back, causing Maltheus to arched in pain and destroy the mountain in the process

Shooting off like a comet Maltheus then crashed agaisnt another mountain as he was shook by the event that happened

"Oooh! That one completely hurts" complained Maltheus as he rubbed his sore back

Seeing such reaction even Argos was at a loss for words on seeing how thick skinned was this Dragon Monarch in front of him
