Chapter 339: Return To Earth From Another World

[Former Esper Experimental base, Hokkaido, Japan, Earth]

After feeling the snow on the surface of his skin, Kaido clearly realize that he was actually back in his old world, the world where he originally belongs

Taking in the sight around him and unto the open hole infront of him, he then realized that this wasthe research base where he got killed and not far from him was where the killer was positioned

"Such nostalgic memory... felt like a very long time ago"

After that he then took everyone out from the research base through the huge destroyed hole infront of them that will lead them to the outside vicinity

Upon coming out a dea of snow immediately permeated their sight as earthing including the land and trees were completely covered in snow

"Is it winter here?" Asked Aileene as she looked around the area

"Must be or else it won't explain how there are so much snow here" said fengris as he started covering his nose to stop himself from sneezing

"Snow, winter... its been so long since I've experienced it" said Argos

At that moment Sui reached out her hand as she proudly declared

"Me! Me! I've experienced winter"

Hearing that Argos simply nodded as he smiled

"Is that so?"

"Yes! Its super duper fun" said Sui happily

With that Argos then patted Sui on her forehead before heading over to Kaido who was leading the group to a certain direction

As he got closer he then started conversing with him

"I still couldn't believe that your kid has a huge affinity for nature magic, if not for her siren genes I might mistaken her for a druid or an elf"

After that Fengris came over at the other side of Kaido as he placed his arm on his shoulder

"But if you've got a siren child, did you do some female siren in your past?" Asked Fengris

At that Kaido simply chuckled as he replied

"Nope! It's a complete coincidence, but based on how much Ingrid told me yesterday, I think that Sui thought of me as her father cause we really look alike"

At this moment Aileene came over as she pondered

"I see... a doppelganger of a different species... well thats not impossible, in fact there's already been a record of it in the past"

With her say, everyone then nodded completely as Kaido suddenly stopped at some point while looking up towards the sky

Of course seeing him looking at the sky, all of them suddenly became curious  on what he's doing

But after some time a small rock suddenly condensed beside Kaido as it slowly heated up before turning into a complete iron

Using such rounded iron he then launched such projectile towards the sky that he was staring at

After a few seconds everyone could see a slight little explosion from afar which seemed to be Kaido's target all along

"What was that?" Asked Melfina  as she started carrying sui

With that Kaido replied

"We've been watched"

Hearing him everyone then became wary of their surroundings as they prepare for anything unexpected

"Dont exude your aura"

"Huh why? Aren't we being watched" Asks melfina

"Not much, but that's all they could do for now... but there's one thing I'm sure of... and thatbis they realized I've returned"

"..."

"Looks like this journey is going to get bumpy"

"Seems so" said Ingrid as she went beside Kaido

"So what now?"

Hearing that Kaido then pondered before hearing some kind of a vehicle not far from them

"Were gonna need some updated information"

Not far from them a group of armed soldiers clearly coming from an unknown organization were keeping track of this abandoned experimental base

After the trackers picking up signs of life in the area around the abandoned base, this particular group was then sent as scouts to see who would dare infiltrate such facility

Leading the team with complete weaponry in hand such as guns like a type of sniper rifle, bullets, tranquilizers, auto traps, drones, different type of suppression grenades, and especially scope and id in case for identity confirmation

Leading the team of six people, the leader then puts on  his black mask and black helmet before opening up his eyeshield while giving out instructions

"Listen up! Trackers found life signals near the abandoned experimental base, much likely just some kind of animals or critters, but nevertheless we won't know if its hostile or not"

"Coincidentally we've got some data to retrieve from that base that is requested by the leaders at the top, our mission is simple and clear get the data, suppress some kind of intruder and get out"

"Very much simple, no need for extreme measures... any questions?"

After that kind of command everyone in the team became silent and serious, unfortunately there will always be one in the team that always liked to joke around as he asked

"Captain!"

"Speak!"

"Can I go to the bathroom?"

Of course as usual as if the captain was already experienced in this type of trope, he then chose to ignore it while letting some of its members snicker at that unconventional joke

After some distance they were finally able to see the silhoutte of the abandoned base as the captain instructed while preparing his gun

"Were near! Stay frosty!"

Just as he said those words a sudden adrupt change suddenly happened

A perso  suddenly jumped on topic its hood and instantly destroyed the engine of their car, following that as if the metal roof of the car was being manipulated, it suddenly scraped it off by itself and showed Kaido's face

As an expert on this kind of threat the captain of the said team immediately issued his command

"Weapons free! Weapons free!"

In that next few instant guns started rattling down their bullets straight at Kaido, only to get block by an invisible physic barrier

Seeing that the captain and his team  immediately charged out of the destroyed car only to get ambushed by the sudden appearance of Argos, Fengris, Aileene, and Melfina who suddenly jumped out from the shadows

In just few seconds the captain immediately experienced on what's called a slaughter as he witness his whole team immediately killed by this unknown intruder

What's more their ambushers weren't some kind of random and ordinary people, in fact he saw one of them turned into a wolf or fenrir, another one clawed out his teammate with its scaly arm, another one seemed to such the blood of its teammate and the other was using their teammates shadow to quickly assassinate them

Whats more surprising was that among the five that attacked them, there were two more on the side that just stood there without batting an eye and all of them seemed to listen to the person who destroyed their cars hood

In that moment the captain realized that the person who destroyed their cars hood was the leader, and whats more surprising was this was a team of espers that completely wiped out their whole team except him

Naturally Kaido didn't kill the team leader as he might have some information about the current happening in his old world, so naturally he was instead captured while witnessing his whole team being murdered

After a while Kaido controlled the metal restraining the captain around its body to leisurely hover infornt of him

Tapping untonits uniform Kaido then asked

"You... do you know where this place is?"

Naturally as a captain who share the burden of this organization that deal with espers, he naturally didn't talked at all and instead kept quiet while observing everyone

Seeing his behavior kaido then felt that asking this guy would be a waste of time, since he has no use for him he then conjured a nuclear energy on his palm in the size of a button

Following that he went over at the captain and forced him to open his mouth by using his psychic ability

After that he outs the small nuclear energy inside of him and forced him to swallow it whole

With that Kaido immediately went away as he left the captain which was panicking until his body got deformed and exploded

Leaving the scene away while making sure that Sui didn't saw that, he then went over at the car as he kicked the drawer to forcefully open it

Soon documents and files kept pouring out from that particular drawer as he take a look at one of it's files

After reading the document he then found out the name of the organization that forcefully dragged him into this state, following that he also found his personal file inside of it which only consist of few information regarding his experimental progress

Following that he then found out thatbhw was highlighted as deceased in those files

"Interesting"

Hearing his praise Ingrid then came over together with Sui, Melfina, Argos, Aileene,  and Fengris astheyblpoked over at the file which Kaido was currently reading

"Whats in there?" Asos Ingrid

"Is it something interesting?" Asks Sui

After that Kaido told them some specifics

"Looks like the organization that forcefully dragged me into this mess is called G.E.N.O.S (Genetic Esper Nano Optimization Society), in fact since it's called society and its freely operating means that even the president of the country seemed to acknowledge such organization that does inhumane experimentation on espers"

"Not only that but i found that my current status on their files is categorized as a deceased specimen even thought I'm one of the successfully forced optimized esper, they apparently called me formally as Subject Number: 099... isn't that cool to hear?"

"After that it seemed that they didn't stop their experiment after my issue, but instead tighten its restrictions thus causing the specimen to reach upto 150 specimens available to the world... all of them are categorized to various class... I  which I don't know"

"Luckily my parents is still alive and are located in Yoyogi, Shibuya, apparently were going to that location"

Hearing that Ingrid then asked with a slight of expectations

"To your parents? Why?"

At that Kaido answered

"Money... in this world no matter how strong you are, unless your outdated especially in terms of financial then you will always lose... if were going to live here while making sure we will be able to freely hide our identity then we need money for all of this, with money we can do anything... not all Human's are righteous you know..."

With their next step planned out, they then directed their next goal location towards Yoyogi, Shibuya

[G.E.N.O.S Main information observatory facility]

After Kaido destroyed the hovering satellite in the outer space, such situation was immediately reported back to the organization this causing a slight alarm

After finding out its last footage the officer who was in charge of this immediately reported to his higher up which managed this facility

In an instant the Head Chief of the facility immediately stride inside the room and ignored all formalities as he ordered at the officers

"Open up the saved data"

With that they showed the data which few people walking out together from inside the abandoned base in Hokkaido

Following that the perpetrator then showed his face and suddenly smiled at the camera as if he realized the satellites existence

Right that moment an iron ball formed beside the young man and instantly shot out towards the satellite in an unknown mach speed and instantly destroying the surveillance

After searching for the perpetrator through the files he then found out that the perpetrator was one of the deceased espers that the organization had set

Unfortunately cause of such video it was immediately called such deceased information as false,  following that they also started searching for the profile of everyone that was with kaido while they deemed everyone as a group of espers that went against the organization

After all there were already a group of espers that went against them currently, thus Kaido's group was immediately categorized as enemy to kill on sight

After sighing for awhile he then ordered the officer

"Issue a meeting with the upper echelons of the organization, we need to inform of this surprising development"

Hearing that the officer was quite stunned as he asked

"But sir does that guy really pose a threat? Isn't he just an opposing esper?"

With that the Head Chief immediately briefed him

"His not easy to deal with, he's one of the successfully developed specimen, unfortunately he was categorized as deceased for over a year now... but this... he somehow had risen upnonce again and this time with a team, just how did he conceal his whereabouts  from us?"

Hearing this fact the officer couldn't even utter one response

"Simple! He did something completely out of our expectations,  I don't know how he did it but with his existence once more revealed as alive to us, then he's as dangerous as he can get... i need to report this to the upper echelons"

With that the officer immsalited as he completely understood the danger of the operation

"Yes sir!"

As the officer left, the Head Chief on the other hand glanced at the empty space left at the corner of the room as he saw a silhoutte of a person standing in the shadows

"Looks like your rival is back subject no. 100 Aaron"

Hearing that Aaron replied

"Hes not my rival, he's a person that needed to die"

"Indeed we need to dispose Kaido or better yet subject no. 099"
