I almost laugh when she leans her forehead against mine and asks. "Just tell me…are you… are you married." Her words take me back, but I know that she's one-hundred percent serious, so I answer her. "No. I'm not married. I've never even been in a relationship. I'm twenty-eight years old, and I've never spent a full night in the same bed with a woman."


Jade's face falls at my honest admission, but I don't soften the blow. I think it's best if she knows where I stand. However, a small part of me regrets saying it. I observe impassively as she moves her hand away from my lips and slumps back down deflated.


Not wanting for things to take a bad turn, I lean close and pull her onto my lap. "You're my weakness, Jade. I don't know what to do about that." I whisper honestly. I want her to understand that I do want her, but that there are limitations to what we can be to each other.
