Some people have different values
This time I'm sure the bright light had it out for me. Unlike the first time which felt short, this time I know I had to be out of it for a long time. When I was finally coming around the first thing I heard almost made my knees buckle.
"...so I picked the minor body growth innate. I was told that if I keep using it the innate will evolve. So, for now, I can only increase myself a few centimeters but in the future? Look out world big Daddy is coming to town! You gonna learn today!" The random guy said proudly with no shame whatsoever to be heard. I can hear random chatter around me. While most of these people are speaking nonsense. Like girl A over there.
"I picked the innate hair growth innate. Not only can I make my hair longer I can also attack with them. I chose the best knowledge to train my ability. For the early levels, I chose bondage. You know like that S&M stuff. For the later stages, I chose the knowledge of the royal spider clan who weave their webs to create palaces. One day I could create whole towering palaces with my hair but that's too far off from now. Hey, wanna help me train? I know you said you picked the minor pain resistance abilities right?" I watched her drag some guy off to God knows where to 'train'. I'm not sure if I should applaud her creativity or avoid getting on her radar in the future. There all types of randomness going around and I see some old guy grinning about how he chose the knowledge of pill making and knowledge of how to make Viagra. He and a small group of old guys and gals seemed to be planning to create an alchemy guild. I saw one guy doing something strange with his hands in a corner. He had his hands in front of his face slowly rubbing them. I mean just that wouldn't be strange until you add the look on his face and the words he was muttering. His eyes were squinted and he had a weird grin on his face while licking his lips. Muttering things like "So this is what they feel like? Now that I have this it doesn't matter that I'm single now does it?" He started walking away. Saying that he must try them immediately.
There were people who seemed to be on the right path. Like handsome guy A over there. " I picked the minor sword affinity. At first, I was skeptical about it but then I looked through the knowledge and found the sword God training for dummies manual and it just clicked with me. Look this is what the first step says. 'Hold your sword in both hands and raise it slowly. Make sure you are holding the handle and not the blade. Also, make sure the blade is pointed away from you. Once the sword is raised above your head swing it downward with all your might while yelling at the top of your lungs EXCALIBUR! Do this a few times a day in the middle of a crowded area and people will start to worship you. This is your first step to becoming a sword god. Disclaimer this method only works for a select few people and not for everyone." He seemed rather pleased with himself. There seems to be another guy who picked up minor innate strength and the knowledge of the strongest man's workout routine. Like the tanuki said humans are indeed random. I decided to focus on my self and called up the screen in my head.

Element description: Water element is everywhere life flourishes. No matter what it is almost all beings in creation need water. Water nourishes life but it can also wash life way. By nature, water is a calm element but once it catches momentum all elements prefer not to bar its path.

Although it isn't light element water is good enough. Just the nourishing effect will do me good. When I was thinking of the nourishing effect a thought hit me. 'Water nourishes wood to create life.' I already know the way to fuse mana and stamina. It was on the cover of Theodore's biography. I know that as long as I don't increase them fusing them will be no problem. I also know the more elements I have the more unstable my chakra will be but I think if this works I can bet on my innate ability and the combination of water and wood elements. Looking around although I check earlier looking closely I'm in the center of a town. The ground is paved with cobblestone. and the houses are made with a variety of materials I see brick houses, clay houses, wooden houses, heck I even see a straw house. Now, where's the big bad wolf? I see all kinds of people walking around.
Walking around I see many different buildings. I also overheard some people saying they found 100 silver in their inventory. So I check mine and I had some too. Not only that there was also a change of shirt and pants. It was the standard villager A clothes. There was a bottle of water, a few pieces of dried meat, and a few pieces of bread. It was at this time that I realized that people were looking at me and pointing. At first, I dismissed this thinking that some handsome man or beautiful woman was somewhere behind me and decided to shift to the edge of the road to stay out of their way. I didn't wanna catch the famous young master/mistress quote but the eyes kept following me so I checked myself out and was given a shock! This entire time I was over here ripping into others calling them weird and not normal, I was wandering around the town in my one punch man boxers, that has Saitama's fist punching from my crotch area. Instantly my face was filled with shame and I snatched the pants out of my inventory and hastily put them on. Which ended with me hopping around with one leg in the pants and one trying to get into them. This enticed a round of laughter from my surroundings. Bringing in a fresh round of shame as I hastily put on the shoes that were also in there and run to the building I was pretty sure was a library. Once I was inside I could immediately tell that the old lady librarian saw what was happening outside. In my opinion, that grin on her face was the type that could earn someone a police report.
Ducking into the area labeled elements and found a book on wood elements. I walked to a darker area of the library for more quiet and to hide from that molester faced librarian. Calming my self down and swearing to avenge my soiled reputation. I began to read: Wood is the element of birth, creativity, longevity, and wisdom. The wood element is one that seeks ways to grow and expand. Wood heralds the beginning of life, springtime and buds, sensuality, and fecundity. Wood needs moisture to thrive.
Reading up to here I'm certain I'm on the right path. I skim past some of the other information and stop at what I want. Gaining wood affinity from nothing is easier than the other elements. You just need to meditate in a place where wood is most concentrated. You can also find a teacher to infuse wood elements into your body to make it easier to sense. With that, I've already replaced the book and head directly for the door. Doing my best to no pay attention to the library. Who seems to be giggling at me. My spine just shivers and I've made it to safety. A bit of asking about and I found that the adventurers guild is the best place to find a wood element teacher so I head straight there. The guild is very easy to notice with a ton of people walking in and out wearing all types of armors both leather and metal. Not wanting to trigger any random events I blend my self with the crowd. which is pretty easy since almost everyone is taller than me. After a bit of time, I finally made it to the receptionist's desk and drop my request in a clear cut no-bullshit tone "Hello I would like to hire someone to help me gain wood element affinity. Since I wanna do it quickly I would like to hire the highest level 50 silvers can get me." Clean, cut, and straight to the chase. Even though the receptionist is a very beautiful woman. I don't wanna trigger any flags so I stare her straight into the eyes as if I wanted to read her soul.

Well, as obvious as it says I know that this is one of the godly abilities. Courtesy of a certain female spider. While thinking of the potential of this skill the receptionist final replied to my request. "Well with 50 silver you can hire a senior wood mage for 10 minutes." She told me.
"Will that be enough time for me to gain that affinity?" With so little time this is questionable to me.
"It should be more than enough time since they will be infusing the purest possible wood element into your body for 10 straight minutes. Unless your completely magically incapable then you should get it just fine." She explained patiently. It seems that she's used to her work and isn't bothered by me questioning the process. I nod my head and asked her when it would be started. I was told that the person was informed and would be waiting for me in one of the training halls. She pointed me in the direction and sent me on my way to get to the next in line. Good thing no flags have been triggered yet but I need to keep my guard up. Finding the hall was easy enough so I knocked on the door.
"Enter" A voice that comes off as cheery came from the room and my flag senses went completely haywire. Hesitating outside the door for a few seconds longer than needed. I grit my teeth and push open the door. Unfortunately, I didn't know the main source of my future troubles was behind this door.
