The shooter

A cat attacked me one morning, so we took said stray and threw it in a cage in a clearing we found a few days ago where we drank and smoked.

Me and Little Dick brought our guns the next day. We shot at the little fucker till it was shaking in fear. Man was that fun.

Everything was fun till it showed up. Yes that fucking monster. What Little Dick said was true, it did smell like my mother he did in earlier. And that sucked.

I watched as it walked towards us. I tried to warn Little Dick. I swear I did, but that bastard wouldn't listen.

I watched as it ripped its claws through Little Dick's chest. I watched in terror as my own hands rose the gun and shot at the thing.

I stood frozen as it wobbled over towards the edge of the clearing where it came from till it fell, as I thought it was dead but I was wrong, then I ran.

There was a person standing there at the edge of the clearing that lead to the path. So I ran towards him and called out to him. Well more like I cried out to him.

I tired to tell him that the thing was a monster! He just wouldn't listen. He went on and on about how he didn't care. He only cared about that damn cat!

So I left him in the clearing. I remembered I left my gun and ran back. He was standing next to the thing. And guess what? He was talking to it! He's insane! He was having a conversation with it but that monster wasn't saying anything back!

He even started to help it up! He touched it! That boy is insane! He touch that disgusting thing.

So I grabbed my gun and set my sights on it. I yelled at the boy to run away. Instead that bastard walked in front of it.

See I'll shoot an animal, yes that seems bad now that I think of it, but I won't shoot a human. I'm not that bad. I swear I'm not.

So I yelled at the boy to move. He didn't budge. He said that the monster was friendly and to leave it alone. He's delusional!

I couldn't stand this situation anymore. I dropped my aim and stormed across the clearing.

I wasn't given up! There was nothing to give up! So you can't say I was.

So, as I was saying, I stormed out of the clearing and walked back to the path. Then I walked to the car and left. That's it. The end.
